Facilities were great, breakfast excellent, welcome rather cold

It was a wonderful stay. Driving to Stonehenge is about 20mins. Good experience.

I booked to stay here over the May Bank Holiday and after I booked I tried to book a ground floor room for my partner who has a disability. After 5 failed attempts to contact the hotel reception as per their website I finally contacted Head Offic and they said that they would put the request through. On arrival they said we were on the first floor but no lift! I explained the problem and that Head Office had sent an email through but no trace! The receptionist managed to change the room to the ground floor which we really appreciated. However the noise from other guest was appalling! Noise up and down the corridor and the banging of doors early morning and late at night. No signs anywhere requesting people to re do pest other guests. We booked continental breakfast at the restaurant next door and every morning there was insufficient food for everyone and had to sit there for over half an hour just for a couple of croissants. No yoghurts , messy food areas and tea/coffee making area. Will NOT visit here again!!!

We stayed here in October 20023 for 3 days walking and were pleased with location and the restaurant next door so were happy to use this again for another 2 day walking break. However the restaurant is being closed down and due to lack of staff who have I understand been offered redundancy, there is only 1 evening chef and so the only option is a burger for the meal. Given we pay for a meal deal and generally you can have steak, etc but essentially a full menu, this is a big change. The staff on duty did their best to accommodate this dissappointment but it is something to bear in mind. Breakfast was fine as they still have 2 morning chefs, but evenings are going to be a big issue now. Especially if like me you never touch a burger. Even worse was that those in my party who stayed the second night had to get a Chinese take away and eat in the room as there was some incident with the chef and an ambulance on site so no evening meals at all possible. Given plans to sell off the restaurant and bring it back in house this means major building works in the hotel and a certain amount of disruption now for the next 1-2 years. Perhaps this explains why the stairs seemed dirty and certainly the bathroom was looking shabby and not its best. Such a shame as the PI is usually reliable.

The Hotel clean and staff friendly, Unfortunately the restaurant next to the hotel was due to close and they had a shortage of staff. The knock on effect was no evening meals when we stayed so a short 10-15 drive into salisbury to find a restaurant and parking. Will not stay here again!

The hotel is a little dated but the staff are amazing,it makes your visit. They are all working so hard and need extra staff to help the team work ,apparently there are four positions vacant something has to change as I can see they will burn there selves out, the restaurant was under tremendous pressure and had to run with a couple of staff which meant long waiting times for food but you really felt for them as they really tried there hardest , so polite especially Ed he was exhausted but still had a smile on his face for the hungry customers, they all deserve a rise in pay ,

I finished really late working locally on a construction project (I live in London) so was really tired. Arrived around 945pm having missed my meal and just got a couple beers before they shut. All staff really nice and helpful except for one exceptionally rude middle aged chap on reception. If I hadn't just finished a 14 hour shift we'd of probably been rolling around outside. I'm sure he'd just had a bad day, but attitude was really poor. Sure just a one off.... Room clean and comfortable. Bar staff friendly. Lady on reception and chap at the bar were very friendly and helpful. Would stay again.

I just want to do a big shout out to vicky/victoria on reception. I rang her days before booking to say what requests we had, she was so so helpful. Arrived this evening and she’s gave all the kids a little something and still been so so friendly and helpful. She really deserves a big recognition. As for the hotel itself just a usual premier inn as expected!

Clean and comfortable rooms and bedding. Wi-fi great. Amble parking. Friendly staff. Unfortunately the restaurant is on a very reduced service/staff due to being sold. Staff are doing their best. Very reduced early evening food choice, have to pre-book. Breakfast not affected. Area looks tired and in need of a makeover. Got to feel sad for the staff who are trying their very best
