Don Gregory by Dunas - Adults Only

Well what can I say....my husband and I stayed here from 10th May 2024 till 17th May. Really wished we had booked 2 wks. We stayed all inclusive on top floor premiere room 905. The hotel is situated very close to a number of shops and restaurants. Also a short walk out the back of the hotel and you are on the beach. Our room was fabulous and kept very clean. The staff were lovely and friendly. Food was delicious and so much variety. There was something for everyone. There were plenty of sun beds. The pool wasn't overly big but was sufficient. Also the pool area was kept spotless. There is nothing negative to say. We loved the hotel, staff and food. Oh and the Mango Colada cocktails by the pool were amazing. Hope to revisit in the future.

Absolutely wonderful Hotel, staff and food fantastic. We checked in afer 10pm and this was quick and straight forward, everything was explained about the hotel. We had an infinity room looking out at the infinity pool. Spotlessly clean, everything was spotless around the whole hotel. Cleaners were still cleaning at 10:30pm. Sunbeds were easily available (may 11-21st) €20 deposit per beach towel which could be swapped each day. Only on our last day did we see towels getting taken off beds, in each case they had not come back for longer than 30mins. Fantastic views of the beach from the beds. With the hotel right on the beach easy access through glass doors to the beach. Restaurant has a wide variety of foods all fresh and very good. Staff always happy to help especially Jennifer, Nekane and Jose (who was retiring) Entertainment was very good and modern. We were all inclusive and it was well worth it. Would definitely recommend.

We have just returned from the Dunas Don Gregory and 1 week just wasn’t enough. We had a wonderful stay in the most perfect room (131) opposite the lower pool. Every morning I would just open the patio door and I was there right in the garden next to the peaceful pool-absolute bliss! My husband is a Road cyclist and and there was plenty of room to to keep his bike (rented from Free Motion about 10 mins walk away) in the room. He says the hotel is the perfect location for all of his favourite rides. It is also great for bus travel and most afternoons we caught the terrific Global bus service somewhere (Las Palmas, Puerto Morgan, Amadores) or we walked to the sand dunes in Maspalomas along the excellent walkway directly outside the hotel. The hotel has plenty of bars/restaurants around and supermarkets opposite. The hotel buffet for breakfast and dinner was really good, had enough variety for us and the team in there work very hard. The position of this hotel is a big selling point I feel and sets it apart from other hotels in the area. It has direct access to the beach and the views are lovely, we loved hearing the sound of the waves and eating meals looking out onto the beach. It was a very peaceful hotel and we thoroughly enjoyed our time here. Will definitely be returning.

There was no cause for complaint or disappointment with this well-managed, conveniently located beach front hotel. Comfortable bed; adequate bedroom maintained each day; reasonable choice from a buffet menu, breakfast and dinner and very pleasant staff!

On arrival very efficient check in. Great staff on Reception. Our Room 810 was very spacious internally and spotlessly clean. The Balcony was on the small side slightly obscured on LH side. Not a problem as area by Pool great. Sun beds are reserved by Lifeguard for those of us with disabilities. There were plenty of sun-beds for all so towel dash unnecessary. We found all the staff at hotel extremely friendly even though some of them couldn’t always understand English. It seems as though English guests are in the minority. The Pool is one of the best I’ve used abroad with amazing access into the lovely warm water. Never crowded, sometimes having it to myself. There was daily Aquafit which popular with men and women. The Lifeguard Diego was so helpful, nothing was too much trouble for him. When the shade went from Sun bed he’d willingly adjust the position of umbrella. Never had this service before. There was plenty to eat in the Restaurant but found it seemed to cater more for Europeans. Loved the Omelettes breakfast time which were cooked to order. The Wine Waiter Marcos was very helpful. Also there are tables reserved for those with mobility issues, making it easier to access the food counters. A special thank you to waitress Angelina who seemed to work all over the bars. Her English was very good. Also the head barman in Entertainment Bar very obliging. Nice touch having beds turned down and nightdress made to look pretty. I found the bed hard so after first night had a mattress topper. Fine after that. Loved the Adult Only vibe. The only downer to me, due to mobility issues, was the area outside hotel. The Shopping Centre leaves a lot to be desired and there is no lift between floors, just steep hills to walk up. Not many shops open either. Fortunately there is a supermarket ground floor level.

This hotel was ok, the food was good. The rooms needed a bit of tlc and upgrading. It is a 4* but would only give it a 3*

had the most amazing time staying here. been here for 10 nights and it’s been so lovely. the staff have been so friendly and welcoming, Gerson, Jenifer, and Celseo were so lovely and always had a smile on their face. Eo and Lilou were so helpful and always made time to make sure you were happy with your stay. entertainment has been fun there’s been quite a few singers, one night there was a group called ‘Disco Fever’ and they were amazing! the dancing and the songs were so much fun to watch, Lorena and Estefan were phenomenal! the rooms were comfortable and had a gorgeous view of the ocean and beach. had the best time i’d definitely recommend coming here!

Absolutely loved the stay. We had a few issues, but we tolerated them. Frustrated more by people putting towels on loungers from 7am and not use them all day. Nothing was too much effort for most of the staff. We ended up buying coffee for the room as it was never.topped up and we.were told they don't give more than 1 per person.

We had a fantastic view of the beach and fell asleep listening to the waves. The hotel was very clean, the staff were friendly and helpful. The Guest Experience team were brilliant they really helped me and my husband before our stay and during our holiday. The Restaurant Manager was extremely helpful making sure I knew what food I could and couldn’t eat due to my Coeliacs condition. The Restaurant Manager also ensured I had a dessert every day suitable for my Lactose intolerance. Rosa in the restaurant was extremely helpful making sure I had what food I needed. If you have any food allergies or intolerances this is the hotel for you!
