La Valise San Miguel de Allende, Member of Small Luxury Hotels

This hotel is absolutely incredible! The location couldn’t have been better—it’s just steps away from a variety of shops, restaurants, parks, and historical landmarks, making it so easy to explore. The boutique-style charm of the hotel added a cozy and personal touch, and the service was top-notch. Our room was a peaceful retreat—quiet, comfortable, and perfect for unwinding after a day of adventure. The staff went above and beyond, handling multiple reservations for us and providing spot-on recommendations for sightseeing and dining every day. A special shout-out to Marco who always making our stay wonderful, he attended to our very need and desire with a beautiful , cheerful positive attitude. Muchas Gracias! We can’t wait to return! Highly recommend this gem of a hotel for anyone looking for an unforgettable stay.

Exquisite hotel centrally located in SMA. Beautifully designed and decorated. Phenomenal service with wonderful personal touches. Marco and Nicolas were so helpful and thoughtful, making our stay that much more memorable. If you are considering SMA, run to book this hotel.

My husband Brian and I booked our stay at La Valise for our honeymoon this past October and it was one of the best experiences we have ever had traveling. With only a few rooms available, we found the space quiet, intimate, and peaceful. We looked forward to breakfast every morning. The food/beverages were excellent and tasted even better enjoying them in the courtyard on a bistro table (very picturesque!) While the space itself was incredible (amazing aesthetic), the real heroes would have to be the incredible concierge. Luis, Marco, and Nico were so warm and welcoming, always making an effort to engage. They were always so quick to respond to any question sent through the hotel WhatsApp chat and were in general really pleasant to chat with. Marco in particular went above and beyond helping us retrieve some items we forgot, driving outside of the city to retrieve it, and then mailing the parcel to us in the U.S. We didn't know it would be that much work (sorry!), but SO thankful to him for putting in the extra effort. It's been almost two months now since we left, and Brian and I are already talking about returning!! We will absolutely be staying here again the next time we are in San Miguel.

10/10 The place is spectacular, they kept a lot of original arts and pieces that were originally there. meticulous on the details, the smells, sounds and food (and mezcal)! location couldn’t be better, and Nico @ Marco were available and kind our entire trip 🙏🏽 Thanks for the stay and the memories 😊

La Valise is amazing! The service is unlike any other - the staff goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is perfect. There are only a few rooms on the property, so the staff get to know you quickly. We loved the hotel amenities. The hotel breakfast was surprisingly good, top-tier authentic food. The rooms are absolutely beautiful and the attention to detail is felt around the entire property. Overall, I can’t say enough good things! If we come back to SMA, we would definitely choose La Valise again.

My husband and I stayed three nights and we had a fantastic stay. The hotel staff is so kind and accommodating. The hotel is in a great location. The bed is really comfortable. The room was spacious and we loved the shower area. Breakfast had plenty of options. It’s quiet and peaceful. The only thing I could think of which is very minor, I would suggesting adding slippers to the room since there are robes and the special shower area. We had to transfer to a different hotel for two nights because La Valise did not have the full availability we needed. I can already tell the rosewood is inferior to La Valise. We will definitely be back!
