Hotel Terraviña

Very nice and quaint property nestled among vineyards and orchards. Beautiful grounds with a pool and beautiful space. There are nice walking tracks among the vineyards and orchards. Rooms are average size. Very good breakfast. Would highly recommend this place if visiting Colchagua Valley.

I was part of a group of 60 people who came to Chile for a birthday party, and Terravina was our home base. The owner and staff did such a fabulous job!!! Despite the size of our group everything at Terravina was perfect. The meals they prepared for us were spectacular, the drinks they made were strong and good and they even brought in a traditional band one evening which was great fun. The owner also went out of her way to ensure my husband and I were accommodated for some work we had to do in a quiet room with wifi. The trip ended with a fabulous party the staff threw for us for New Year's Eve, complete with tons of balloons, NYE accessories, bountiful champagne and possibly the greatest cover band I've ever seen. If you need to throw a party in Chile, or are just looking for a great place in wine country to stay, I highly recommend Terravina!

We recently spent three great nights at this property which is located in a vineyard. The rooms are well-appointed, clean, and comfortable. They could stand a little bit of touch-up. We stayed in the king suite, which provides a large bedroom area and small living room area with a desk. The pool is very nice and the shade over the seating area is well appreciated. The breakfast provided has plenty of options, including made-to-order eggs. You can’t beat the location…an easy walk, literally through the vineyard to a winery, and two restaurants. Highly recommend a relaxing stay at this property.

We stayed here for four nights at the tail-end of our time in Chile. We had originally booked another hotel, but came to realize transportation to/from that property would likely have been challenging. We pivoted to Hotel TerraViña because of the great TripAdvisor reviews and the location. The first thing I want to point out is how amazing the staff is at TerraViña. We had LENGTHY WhatsApp chats in advance of our stay where they answered our questions, set up restaurant reservations and winery tours, and arranged our transportation to/from Santiago. Once we arrived, the service was just as good, if not better. The staff coordinated our transport every day and made some ad hoc winery recommendations, e.g., RC Viñedos, which ended up being our favorite winery. It is obvious the staff truly cares about your experience. We enjoyed the walkability the hotel offered. We walked to dinner every night. We walked to Laura Hartwig's vineyards. We walked into Santa Cruz for coffee. This is the main reason we selected the hotel. Ironically, our favorite dinner was at the hotel's restaurant, but it was nice having choices on a nightly basis. The rooms are charming and sizeable, albeit a bit dated (especially the bathrooms). That would be the only negative to point out. Bottom line: 4/4.5-star bumped to a 5-star thanks to the tremendous staff here.

We stayed at Terravina for 4 nights & wish we could have stayed longer. The hotel is charming and very convenient for exploring Santa Cruz and the surrounding winelands. We ate at both the hotel restaurant and the neighbouring Italian restaurant & were pleased with our choices. We would also like to thank Jose for his excellent advice & recommendations on where to visit. Would thoroughly recommend for a relaxing & enjoyable break.

Terra Vina hotel in Santa Cruz was a treat to stay at! The Chilean architecture, open truss and wood ceilings, plaster walls and tile & wood floors are totally storybook. The front desk attendant was so welcoming and kind, she made us feel like long lost friends arriving home. She took us to our room which had outstanding wood frame French doors which led out to a balcony overlooking the Laura Hartwig winery. It was romantic! The rooms are very comfortable and spacious. The Los Poetas restaurant on the property is very good but you can also wander through the vineyards to other restaurants - an amazing experience in itself!! We took the opportunity to wander through the vineyard to the Laura Hartwig winery for a tasting. After which, we carried on through the rows of grapes to a different restaurant for an amazing meal. You will love Villa TerraVina if you stay here!
