Club Santana Beach & Resort

Clean and spacious bungalows spread across beautiful gardens with a variety of interesting plants. We had a view of the sea and could listen to the birds from our terrace, the mixture of birds, butterflies, plants and views out to sea were beautiful. A good swimming pool, nice beach all very easily accessible only a few minutes away from our bungalow. Meals were varied some were great others we didn’t enjoy at all but overall they were good.

This is the perfect place if you are looking for a resort with western standards in Sao Tomé, and want to stay away from the noise and traffic of the capital city (Pestana, Omali). Spacious rooms with fresh renovated bathrooms, new air conditioning. Restaurant has great views of the coast and ilhéu Santana, although one night the staff was really slow and we had to wait over 30min for every plate. Overall food was great, with couple of choices for each part of the menu. As I said it's a great resort by the beach, with nice swimming pool area and jacuzzi. Would stay there again anytime!

When we stayed here the place was under construction (expanding the beach restaurant and bar) and that part was off limits. In addition, food choice was limited to a pre-set menu, and some aspects of the property were clearly being used for storage (e.g., piles of chairs and cushions in the restaurant). That said, you could make special requests for food and they would happen (slowly) and we had the run of the place with a handful of guests. No waiting for loungers at the pool, beach to yourself. (Well, the beach is shared with many fisherman, which was fun.) In all it was a good experience, and the difficulties were easy to manage. It's a large property right on the water. Nice rooms with fresh, modern bathrooms. Good WiFi. Strong security. Except for a handful of people, you'll need Google Translate unless you speak Portuguese. If you're seeking a beach resort on Sao Tome, this is the place.

We were a group of 6 adults, but the resort can definitely also cater for children! The bungalows are neat, clean & spacious, with modern bathrooms. The restaurant food is delicious. Menu is not very big, but good variety. The pool and beach area is beautiful and lush. The views are picturesque all over the property. The staff are very professional, friendly and helpful. We enjoyed scuba diving at the island opposite the resort. Another member of our group went fishing. Really enjoyed our stay! Oh and the massage room is a dream!!

We have been at the Club for lunch. We made a reservation for a special Chris**as lunch a week before. When we arrived the staff told us that there was a ceremony of some embassy and we could not have lunch at the restaurant and the option was a buffet. We have organized our day thinking in to have a good lunch at the resort, so we accepted the alternative, but we are some disappointed with the situation. Knowing about our reservation, you had to sent an e-mail telling us the change giving the option to change or accept.

Escolhi este hotel porque tinha praia,o que não acontecia se tivesse ficado na cidade de S.Tomé. E foi uma boa opção.O resort é muito agradável,os bungalows espaçosos e muito confortáveis. A piscina junto ao mar,mar óptimo para nadar,as espreguiçadeiras dão para a piscina e para o mar. O pequeno almoço é bom,com muita fruta.Jantei sempre no hotel,estava em regime de meia pensão,e a comida era boa,sempre como peixe fresco como opção.O pessoal atencioso apesar que lhes falta formação. O top do resort para mim são as vistas magníficas para o mar e o jardim sempre bem arranjado onde se espalham os bungalows. Importante pedir um bungalow com vista para o mar,os números 1 a 5 são os melhores. Penso que este hotel seja dos melhores senão o melhor para quem queira conhecer a ilha mas com acesso à praia.

Não fiquei hospedado mas almocei e passei uma tarde na piscina já que é possível o acesso mediante pagamento. Tentei novamente almoçar/lanchar e passar a tarde na piscina tendo sido informado pelo gerente/director que apenas serviam clientes externos até as 15 (eram 14:50) e que a partir daí o serviço de bar/snacks servia apenas os hóspedes do clube. Pontos positivos: localização, instalações, simpatia dos recepcionistas, empregados do bar muito atenciosos (no contexto local) Pontos negativos e a melhorar: contacto do gerente/responsavel com o cliente foi medíocre, má relaçao preço qualidade da comida, cerveja servida quente, sumo natural era Compal.

Atendimento é muito atencioso, e serviço é excelente. Tudo de muito boa qualidade. O espaço encontra-se sempre em condições impecáveis. A única mancha será considerarem, e cobrarem, como vista mar um bungalow em segunda linha e com a vista mar obstruída pelas palmeiras. Este extra leva o preço/noite muito acima do aceitável para espaços idênticos. Não existem também serviços de transporte frequentes para sair da estância (dois dias por semana um transporte entre o hotel e cidade) o que não será problema se o objectivo for desfrutar apenas da paisagem e das instalações. Tenha em consideração que terá de alugar viatura, taxi ou motorista para um jantar fora da estância. A simpatia e atenção de todo o pessoal é inexcedível. A estância dispõe de um diving center que disponibiliza material para snorkling, para além das experiências mais completas de mergulho.

Le site est magnifique. Les bungalows sont tres confortables et spatieux mais avec trop de vis a vis lorsqu on est sur la terrasse. Cela sera la grosse deception de notre sejour par rapport aux autres hotels ou nous avons sejourne. L etablissement se veut de luxe et applique un tarif en consequence mais est gere comme un " all inclusive" bas de gamme. Aucune ambiance chaleureuse. Le premier jour chambre pas faite ! Pas de pot de bienvenue a l arrivee ou autre attention. La restauration sous forme de buffet est tres mediocre et soyez y tot sinon vous n aurez que des restes et ne comptez pas sur le personel pour remettre des plats. Les prix au restaurant de plage sont exhorbiants. Si la piscine a debordement est magnifique la direction s est mis en tete de tronconner les cocotiers et abres qui la surplombe...donc relaxation au bruit des tronconneuses et a l odeur d huile 2 temps plutot que d attendre le fermeture programme la semaine suivante...manque de respect des clents inadmissible a ce tarif. Un vrai probleme de management...Dommage
