Hotel berhampiran Centro Cultural Doctor Madrazo, Santander

So I stayed 3 nights here. Junior suite with sea view. I really enjoyed the stay. The bathroom was newly redone it seems, and very well cleaned. I say this as the bedroom was a bit outdated in furniture, but that for me didn't take away any of the enjoyment of the stay. Great view of the ocean and in quite a popular spot, as there were weddings and functions on Friday and Saturday. Good buzz, and great location if you want to be by the sea. The town is a 5 minute taxi drive costing around 5 euro. Quick speedy no fuss with taxis, as taxi rank is about 30 steps away. Staff were friendly in reception and that was very helpful, as there are not alot of English speakers around. They were very accommodating. I would like to add the food was average. Nothing special about the food, not alot of effort put in, but for me there is plenty around to eat, and it is all culturally and locally based. The breakfast was sub standard. Not worth it. Room service ends 10.30. And waiting staff seemed a bit uncomfortable, or a bit not interested. But not particularly anything that stands out. Clean, good views, bedroom outdated, bathroom well above standard, food is a no-go. So I give it 4 stars just because I had a really great time heading back to the hotel after visiting attractions and walks around the whole area.

Like many people using the Ferry I've always just ridden off, or got the the queue in time. I decided to have three days here, at the end of my 2000 mile trip. Left Haro and took a detour through Frias/Ona which was fantastic. Ride through the N632 to Santander Beachfront. Got to Hotel, pay up front for room. 3rd Floor, Sea View. Reception excellent Hotel very good, but Bike outside in Moto area for three days. Good breakfast, with a number of sittings. Lots of bars, Beach is brilliant. Mercardo near Surf School. I found bar food average, but others raved about the Seafood. I would stay here again. In fact I might book for September trip.

Having stayed six times at this hotel dating back to 2015 we decided to stay again as we wished to be near Sardinero. We have not experienced any of the issues identified by previous reviewers in any of these visits, in fact quite the opposite, the staff were welcoming and the rooms were in decent shape and always large. The price was high but for the luxury of a senior suite I was prepared to pay over the odds. On arrival we were told that no senior suites were available and we had been upgraded to the Imperial Suite. Sounds good, but here the good news ended Issue 1 the whirlpool bath didn’t work. Reported to reception and was quickly attended by the maintenance man who after breaking the tile to access the motor reset fixed the problem! Issue solved - nope. It lasted 20 minutes and then tripped all the electric. On reporting to reception the switch was reset but no whirlpool bath. Ok, we’re not here for the bath and having been offered a move the next day at 12 noon we decided to stick with the room as otherwise it appeared ok. Issue 2, the air conditioner sounded like a jet engine. It wasn’t so warm anyway so we tolerated this. Issue 3, at around 5 am it became clear there was multiple pigeons roosting in the roof space above the bed therefore couldn’t sleep until they stopped making noise. Should have moved but we are quite tolerant. Issue 4, around noon time the noise from the AC was so load we had to trip the electric breaker to stop it. Again we should have moved. Issue 5, on night 2 we were again awake for a significant period because of the lift continually moving even in the middle of the night. Issue 6, on night 3 again the lift was not moving up and down almost constantly. This seems to be the overnight cleaner moving items to the storeroom, and guess where this is, next to our room 601. I politely asked receptionist to ask the cleaner to stop and she said he was going home now so it would be ok. She couldn’t move us as there were no other rooms available. On approaching the hotel director the next morning she was aware of all the issues even knowing that the lift was noisy and kept people from sleeping. I was offered a free breakfast which I refused purely because there is no soap in the toilets and this is being used by waiters and chefs to prepare and serve food. After much argument I was told they would refund me the last night stay, still not received it though. All bored by now no doubt. This hotel had deteriorated badly in the 7 years we have visited. There are so many easy fixes to make it better but nobody seems to care. Lights don’t work - replace bulbs AC noisy - stop it vibrating Bath doesn’t work - either replace the motor or borrow from another room given the Imperial suite is the best room in the house Lift - get an engineer Noise - stop the cleaner working all night making noise No soap - buy soap The list is endless, we won’t be back and I wouldn’t recommend anyone else does either. We were impressed with this hotel on arrival, nice common areas, parking onsite (albeit a tad expensive), good location/setting, easy checkin, clean room. But two very important things this hotel needs to get right… (1) The dinner service. They had one (very hard working) waiter doing everything, the result was a v long way even for a menu. We couldn’t blame him as he was doing his best but just couldn’t keep up. To add, the restaurant is outside in a temporary building which may be lovely in the summer but was not quite so glamorous in the rain. We were amazed the waiter had to keep going in and out (in the rain) to get drinks and food, utter madness…. Especially when there are large areas inside the main hotel not being used. We felt really sorry for this guy and as a result didn’t order starters, more drinks or desserts as it was just too painful to watch. (2) The hot water. We had none, just not good enough. We wouldn’t stay here again for the above two reasons, limited time and travelling require decent service and hot water as standard.

The location was great,right in the centre. There are lots of restaurants around,not far from the marina. Room was cleaned daily, and the towels were changed daily as well,water bottles given every day. Hotels restaurant was also great,with fresh and food. The heater was not on, but we had the aircon on and that was enough. Large and spacious bathroom with shower and hairdryer. Wardrobe was massive and had plenty of storage. Beds and pillows were really comfy and clean. The room was that big that we didn't have to close the buggy to have space ,and also we had the baby cot in the room. Do recommend this hotel!We liked everything!We did find weird that the duvet was covered in 2 sheets instead of 1 single duvet cover, but nothing big to bother us.

Struttura nuovissima (aperta a fine luglio 2022) in zona periferica in prossimità delle trafficate tangenziali di Santander. Spazi comuni ampi, colorati e molto gradevoli, staff gentile ed accogliente anche se la giovanissima età tradisce in qualche occasione la poca esperienza. Stanza non molto spaziosa e piuttosto essenziale con la trovata, tanto scenografica quanto scomoda, della doccia a centro stanza e solo il wc in uno spazio piccolissimo separato. Andando in bagno potrete provare la stessa esperienza degli astronauti in una Soyuz. Buona l'insonorizzazione ma ogni tanto qualche sirena si sente. Il riposo comunque è stato perfetto ed anche i letti sono stati comodi. E' stato difficoltoso trovarlo nonostante google: l'ingresso è in una via secondaria dove però non c'è un cartello; basterebbe aggiungere un'indicazione per segnalare l'ingresso. Noi abbiamo fatto tre giri (delle tangenziali e santo navigatore!) prima di capire dove fosse l'ingresso. A due passi c'è anche una fermata bus. Parcheggio privato gratuito attorno e sotto la struttura ma non saprei se ci siano spazi sufficienti per tutti gli ospiti. Aria condizionata molto problematica: ci sono i termostati in camera ma non funzionano o non sono abilitati, quindi l'aria è gestita camera x camera da un pannello alla reception a cui abbiamo dovuto chiedere tre volte di accenderla, poi abbassarla e infine spegnerla x la notte perché rumorosa e fastidiosa date le dimensioni ristrette della stanza. Molto negativo Non abbiamo provato la colazione ma tutto sommato ci è sembrato un buon punto di riferimento per uno stop&go in prossimità dell'aeroporto dove effettivamente non ci sono molte alternative a Santander mentre non lo consiglierei a chi visita la città. Sicuramente la gestione giovane ha dei punti di miglioramento ma la struttura è di buon livello

due notti in coppia in questo hotel dove abbiamo trovato quello che ci aspettavamo dalle recensioni che avevamo visto. buon rapporto qualità/prezzo, check in e out semplice e veloce, gentile la receptionist, soddisfacente la pulizia e l'arredo, un pò piccolo il lavandino del bagno ma niente di grave, serve la macchina ma il parcheggio non è un problema. il centro città è a cinque minuti di auto. non c'è frigobar in camera e un solo distributore automatico all'ingresso

El hotel está en una ubicación estupenda en Liérganes, es sencillo y funcional, sin grandes lujos, pero limpio y cómodo. El desayuno nos pareció bastante bueno, con algunos productos caseros y aceptable variedad. La atención del personal del hotel es excelente, Aída y Begoña son encantadoras e hicieron que nuestra estancia fuera excepcional. Muy recomendable.
