Staff at ambience suites were responsive and pleasant. Breakfast was provided and it was a decent spread. However, location was ~20mins walk from Fira main bus station (it says 10mins on gmaps but its uphill + we were carrying our luggages) so it was slightly inconvenient. Slightly noisy at night as well and the room does not use blackout curtains so the sun shines into the room at 6+ in the morning.

I can't say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay at Exclusive Plan Suites. The staff were amazing and truly went out of their way to help us whenever we needed it, from check in, to advice on getting around, and everything in between. The caldera view from our room was breathtaking. The hot-tub was always a welcome sight after a long day of hill climbing and walking (take the hike to Oia if you get the chance!), and it was always warm. Breakfast was served every morning, and there was always more than enough to eat. Location-wise, this spot is pretty convenient. We were only about a 10-12 minute walk to the shops in Fira (with great views along the way), so we never felt like we were far from whatever we wanted to do, but Firostefani is much quieter than Fira so it was nice to get back to the room after a day out and have a relaxing evening looking out over the water and checking out the cruise ships. I'm not sure what is going on with the beds, but we woke up rested every day! Probably the best sleeps we've ever had on vacation.

The Vallas Apartments enjoy a premium position in Firostefani, which is only a 12 mins walk north of Fira, in a quiet but much photographed spot, where the remains of an ancient wooden boat perches atop an opposite rooftop, overlooking impossibly sheer cliffs, as well as the famous Skaros rock and then the beautiful village Oia in the far distance, a scene ever-etched with charming sailing boats and catamarans, messing about in the endless azur distance. To the left is the caldera itself and possibly also a few massive cruise ships ferrying day visitors back and forth. The apartments in the main block are simple and traditional but also quiet and comfortable. It’s not 5 star luxury but perfectly lovely otherwise, with adequate air conditioning, a hob and a fridge with enough cups, glasses and cutlery etc. The rooftop terrace is surprisingly quiet considering the jaw dropping view, and there is a nice size plunge pool for cooling off in as well as more than enough sun beds to go around. A lovely breakfast is included and you’re served by the ever jovial Georges, with lashings of orange juice, bread, jam and honey, coffee and eggs. I wouldn’t stay in any other area than Firostefani as it’s quiet but also close enough on foot to Fira and the great network of buses. It’s the real Santorini experience! And all very affordable too. Don’t miss out!

Warning ⚠️ avoid it and spend your time and money anywhere else but this Terrible manager attitude and behaviour, very impolite and rude, doesn't know English and constantly shouting on you before even listening or try to communicate via text at least. The room wasn't as described, the breakfast was terrible with his smoke smell on it and the coffee was instant coffee and cold with his smoke smell. I was alone but room had breakfast for 2, so I paid for 2 breakfasts, so I messaged him before arriving and asked a breakfast on arrival and one on checkout, he accepted by email, when by checkout I went for breakfast, he started to shout on me and insulting me front of other guests and kicked me out of the eating area, then he started to talk about me in a bad way with other guests and make fun of me. I came out of the hotel shaking and shocked. I could not believe such an experience in Santorini and in Greece. This hotel with his mental manager should be avoided by all travellers.

It's not a bad hotel and is in a easy place to get too. The only problem we have had was no one is at reception and instructions about checking in are very unclear and confusing. In terms of cleanliness it's ok .

Food: The food was good, clearly attempting to be fine dining with a lot of potential, but at this point it's too expensive. Location: Quiet location, yet secluded from the sights to see. Amenities (spa, gym, pool): Fantastic spa, fantastic sauna, and fantastic spa staff. Gym has everything an experienced gym goer would need, but ideally more variety in equipment would be nice. Pools and relaxing areas are lovely, and well designed. Room: Well designed, modern and clean. It offers everything you would need, and it is definitely worth the price point. Now, for those of you who want a more detailed breakdown of our stay at the resort, here’s a deep dive into each aspect of our experience. We'll also rate each part. Service (5/5): The service here is top-notch, showing genuine care for their guests. When we arrived, we were given a thorough tour of the entire venue, with each facility explained in detail. This warm welcome set the tone for our stay. The hotel offers a convenient affiliated taxi service to get you wherever you need to go, which saved us the trouble of figuring out transportation. Plus, there's a free shuttle to Fira, a charming town in Santorini with beautiful shops. Whenever we had an issue or request, the staff was quick to help. They are incredibly friendly, genuine, and bright – sweet, honest people you can have real conversations with. We left with nothing but positive impressions. Food (4/5): The dining experience at Magma Resort aims high, with a clear attempt at fine dining. The menu offers a variety of intriguing options, each more tempting than the last. We dined at the resort's main restaurant, which has a chic decor and stunning sea views. The food was good and showed a lot of potential, but it hasn't quite hit the level of refinement needed to justify the high prices. Some dishes, despite their beautiful presentation, lacked depth in flavor and originality. Overall, the dining experience is promising but still evolving. With a bit more consistency in the kitchen, it could become a standout feature of the resort. For now, it feels a bit overpriced, but the ambiance and service make it worth a visit, especially if you're looking to enjoy a special evening with a spectacular view. We want to give special praise to their Caesar Salad for lunch. It is the best salad we've ever had! Location (4/5): The location is perfect for those who enjoy peace and quiet. It's nestled in a lovely area and is close to important sights and towns like Fira, Oia, and Yalos Beach. We stayed at Nissos for a week as a group of 13 (+ baby) for a friends wedding and the hotel was perfect for us! The staff were all absolutely lovely, so relaxed and incredibly accommodating. The location is smack bang in the middle of Thira as well as being minutes from the bus station to explore the rest of the island. Couldn’t recommend staying here more- definitely request the room with the mega terrace overlooking the pool- iconic. Thanks again to all the staff you made our week wonderful!
