I don't like to complain too often but I really have to recommend that people don't stay here - especially foreigners. The hotel didn't register me and asked me to try and work it out for myself at the police station. I didn't know how to do it so in the end 5 police officers visited the hotel to do the registration. This is the first hotel in many I've been to in China where they expect you to do the registration. The room had a terrible smell of cigarette smoke and I woke up feeling sick from it. I had arranged for a take-away breakfast due to an early leave and late return and the front desk organised this but when I was waiting for the take-away the manager said no. This was after all the dramas from the previous 24-hours. I think it shows they don't really care about guests... Also note that the hot springs is extra, next door and quite sleezy. It was the only reason I chose the hotel so I was surprised this was the case when I asked after settling into the room. A big disappointment in a friendly town that is not used to foreigners but puts on a smile for them (except this hotel).
