We travel a lot around the world, and this was by far one of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed at. What truly made it magical is the incredible service from our Batman, Bijay, who came pick us up all the way to Delhi and took such good care of us. Also, our safari drivers, with a special shoutout to Deep, who went above and beyond to find the tigers so we could see them before leaving! I am thankful for evryone that made this trip one of my favorite ones yet.

I am writing to express my profound disappointment and dissatisfaction regarding the experience I encountered during my stay at Aman I-khas. I stayed at their establishment from March 2 to March 4, 2024, and I must say it was one of the most disappointing experiences of my life. One of the reasons for my stay was to explore the wildlife park and engage in horseback riding, as advertised on your website (see attached). However, upon arrival, I encountered several issues. Firstly, when I booked a one-hour horseback riding session, there was no helmet available in my size, posing a safety concern. During the ride, our group faced several hazardous situations. Young people on motorcycles approached the horses at high speed, causing my guide to fall. Additionally, we traversed areas littered with waste and narrow paths where tractors passed by at high speeds, endangering the safety of all participants (see attached). Upon my return to the hotel, I immediately expressed my concerns to the General Manager. I explained to the GM that it was his responsibility to ensure that the proposed route was safe and that it aligned with the conditions advertised on the website. However, he refused to take responsibility for the situation, citing that the horses were subcontracted from another company. Despite my requests, no compensatory measures were offered for this disastrous experience. This experience is in stark contrast to what is promoted on their website. Furthermore, it is unacceptable that the establishment fails to take necessary measures to ensure the safety and well-being of its guests. It appears that Aman lacks sensitivity in ensuring guests have an extraordinary experience and taking responsibility for any shortcomings.

We had a wonderful stay at Aman-i-Khas. It is a calm and peaceful oasis outside of Ranthambore National Park. The accommodations are large tent structures with all the conveniences. The chef is talented and the food was excellent. Virtually all the produce is grown on the site. Dinner menus changed every day, and the staff insisted if there was anything not on the menu we wanted, they would make it. Best of all were the attentive, friendly, and very helpful staff! We felt welcomed and treated as valued guests from the moment we arrived until the moment we left. A terrific experience.

After two and a half weeks of luxury hotels in Rajasthan (Oberoi, Taj, Aman)…Aman-i-Khas still topped them all in what I can only describe as one of the more special and unique hotel experiences on Earth. The property itself is stunning. Right on the edge of Ranthamore, it feels completely remote but is still convenient. The tents are absolutely spectacular and it’s almost unable to describe in words how incredible the ten private guest tents are. The ceilings are soaring, soaking tub & shower spectacular, massive lounger is incredible (we loved playing Scrabble here every night), bed is dream-level comfortable, and the design is utterly elegant. Meals, safaris, spa…everything was exceptional. However, to me what makes Aman-i-Khas so utterly one-of-a-kind are the people. Our naturalist and driver were fantastic and literally moved heaven and Earth to let us finally spot a tiger on the last of our three game drives. The spa attendants were fantastic. With all that being said…it’s the Batman (a modern day butler) who really make this property so spectacular. And, KC, our Batman, was without a doubt the most incredible and special and thoughtful person we have ever met while traveling. His kindness, warmth, sense of humor, and hospitality are simply beyond compare. It’s honestly taken a year for me to write this review because it’s really almost too hard to summarize how much of a connection we felt with him. He was our personal butler for our entire stay, beginning with him waking us up with fresh tea and fruit, to serving us all three meals, setting us up with thermos and blankets and picnics for our game drives, and even surprising us in the middle of the wilds on a horseback safari (if you are an equestrian—DO THIS) with hot chai tea and breakfast overlooking a seemingly endless expanse of wilderness. We loved getting to know him, learning about his life and family, and hearing his story. It is rare you meet someone with such a generous and warm spirit and, without a doubt, it was KC that made our trip so wonderful.

This was such a fun experience ! Glamping in a beautiful tented resort with only 10 tents each with their own attendant ( a “ Batman” ), who takes care of everything for you and with you whilst you’re there. Large, elegant, temperature controlled accommodation with every creature comfort you’d need including a Toto smart toilet and lovely concrete tub. Thoughtful and classy furnishings beautifully arranged with king beds and a lounging and dining area and two verandahs. All 10 tents are identical and well spaced so as to ensure privacy. Never in anyone’s way, it feels like your own private camp and a la carte dining that was excellent, complimentary laundry service each day ( no limits ), and small little details such as water bottles/hot water bottles to keep warm on safari ***** with a box of snacks. Warm towels and a cup of tea each time we returned back to camp from our fruitless trips to find elusive tigers. A beautiful pool and spa. Our only complaint is the heated tents have hot dry air circulating in a completely closed tent with little fresh air and no humidification. This made sleeping impossible as our airways were so dry and parched and we both coughed and hacked through the nights and were ( unfortunately) happy to be out in the fresh air each morning. In the colder months this could be problematic for many, but hopefully the property will see fit to do better with the HVAC in the winter. Organic farm-gardens grow all the fresh produce and flowers, and the solar panels provide more than enough electricity to run the resort and keep it beautifully lighted. Wonderful staff. A great experience as long as you don’t expect to see a tiger as this is extremely unpredictable !

There is really very little you can say about this near perfect destination hotel. A great location for visiting the Ranthambore national park but also offers a level of quiet sophistication in the hustle and bustle of rural India. The resort is set within its own discreet area near the end of a dirt road which also houses the entrances to other resort hotels e.g the Relais and Chateaux Suján Sher Bagh resort. But don’t worry you made the right decision to stay at Aman-i-Khas! You enter via a small discreet turning into a courtyard and and walk into the main area of the camp where food is served and the main path to the tents and the pool also begins. To note there is also a large vegetable garden - well worth a look and part of the sustainability offer and where some of the veg comes from. Then on to your room - amazing, huge tented rooms offering a separate sitting area, bedroom and bathroom shower area. There are even Japanese style Toto loos! There is an additional seating area between the room and outside and also seating outside the tent. Fully air-conditioned with everything you could want including USB ports and a call button for your allocated staff member - referred to as your batman. Plenty of purified, bottled water, and a great laundry service. The resort itself is on some 18 acres. There are only a dozen or so rooms, but it has all the facilities you would expect from a larger resort. A great pool and outdoor dining and seating areas. As you would expect fabulous staff who know exactly what they are doing. Wonderful food. Great spa and therapists. Tiger spotting Good local excursions into the national park arranged by Aman with excellent drivers and guides. The park has a sophisticated timed entry system within the 500sq miles divided into 10 zones. A number of these zones are entered via the main gate. You are allocated a time and a zone - you need to enter at that time and leave that zone by the required time. The times are generally 4 hour slots - early morning; later morning; early afternoon and late afternoon. We were booked for early morning visits departing the hotel at 6:15am and I think it was worth taking the early morning trips. We stayed for a number of nights, so had three early morning visits booked each into a different zone so we covered three areas of the park. We were lucky enough to see tigers on two of our visits. We had the same guide and driver for each trip who knew what they were doing and where they were going in each zone. The Aman supplies binoculars and a good quality camera with telephoto lens to each guide and you can use both or let the guide take photos while you watch the real thing. The Aman then sends you a photo dump of everything taken. What more could you ask for.

There's nothing to add to all the other reviews of this property. It really is beyond compare (to any of the safari camps/resorts we've been to in India) Ambience: authentic jungle surrounding, quiet, bird sounds constantly, raindrops on canvas tent… Location: past some rural and semi urban villages, barely 15 min drive to the entrance for zones 1 thru 5. The property, outside the tents, is forest; with the sounds of a variety of birds renting the placid calm from before sunup to after sundown. Almost idyllic. Service: impeccable hospitality. Caring, anticipating, humble, friendly, helpful, accommodating. Batman (read valet or butler), housekeeping, security, management - all extraordinary. Food: outstanding. Tasteful, authentic, not over-spiced nor bland. 80% home grown Eco footprint: very low. Accommodation: spacious roomy tents. Only downside is the furniture. Wood and leather campaign chairs make seating a tad uncomfortable, esp for seniors i would guess. Understand their need for campaign furniture (easy to break down or fold and stow) since they knock down the entire resort campsite and stow away during the monsoon months. But comfy straight back seating would have been welcomed. The living area is furnished with a huge square divan with bolsters and cushions lining two sides. The absence of TV and the existence of WiFi is just perfect.

My husband and I spent 3 nights at the Aman-i-khas in April 2023 and absolutely loved it! The property is stunning, tents are pure luxury and the service is at the highest standards. Special mention to our batman E, who really made us feel home: incredibly careful and kind. Moreover, we are quite complicated people when it comes to food, and the chef accommodated all our requests. Last but not least, we saw 3 tigers!! This is thanks to the expert Aman guide and driver. Strongly recommended!

Aman I Khas is my favorite Aman property I’ve had the opportunity to visit. The service is impeccable, the grounds serene, accommodations other-worldly. In a world where “luxury” can be abused and ostentatious the tented camp in Ranthambore offers sophistication and simplicity in the most impressive way. It is all the more impressive when you realize how much is managed in such a remote locale. Our Batman Rakesh made the experience all the more enjoyable, creating moments that will be remembered for a lifetime. The tents offered a wonderful place to rest and recharge, giving you ample opportunity to Enjoy the grounds and prepare for adventures in the park or elsewhere. The food was consistently great and offered us a great chance to experience Indian cuisine with a local touch. Returning to this special place will be our profound pleasure.

This time, our Aman experience started with meeting Bijay, our “batman”, at New Delhi train station. He accompanied us on the ride to Sawai Madhopur, took care of us during our stay and brought us back to Delhi. He was serious about his job and responsibilities, but always had a smile on his face (like Bianca, the fantastic Yoga teacher, had taught us), and lived the warm hospitality special to Aman. The camp is located just outside Ranthambore Park’s boundaries, nature is abundant, with deer strolling through the camp after sunset and birds delivering a soothing soundtrack. The safaris are well organised, staffed with experienced guides and skilled drivers (“road” conditions can be rough in the park). The tents are extremely comfortable and perfectly maintained by housekeeping staff throughout the day. The restaurant serves Western and Indian food. We had Indian choices only from a nice selection of vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes. It is among the best Indian food we have ever had. Guests gather at the fireplace before dinner enjoying to be one with nature (as much as can be in a luxury camp). The pool is nice, too, and the massage therapists are very professional. In short, we had an experience we will fondly look back to for our lifetime. Special greetings to Bijay - we miss you already!

As the other reviews document, Aman-i-Khas is perfection in every way. My wife and I spent three nights here as part of our month-long trip through India, during which we stayed at a dozen properties, most in the luxury category. Aman-i-Khas was among the top two (the other being in Kolkata, so very hard to compare since the setting is so different). From the moment of arrival with warmest greetings and care from our batman (or butler) Krishlay, to the chef's spectacular accommodation of our veganism, to the beautiful game drives through Ranthambore National Park, to the best massage I have ever had anywhere in the world thanks to Sima in the spa, Aman-i-Khas was divine. Staff were attentive and thoughtful, but never obtrusive. The tents are very large with all creature comforts (they have heat and AC as needed), including our personal favorite: a large bathtub that comfortably accommodates two. My wife, who is a highly experienced horse jumper, also went riding on the Marwari horses from the stable up the road: she does advise that only seasoned riders attempt the horseback excursion as the horses are very energetic/hot, and the guide (not someone from Aman-i-Khas) does not speak any English and doesn't communicate with the rider about pace, direction, etc. If you go, we highly recommend making the time to visit the Ranthambore Fort--it's a great place to rub shoulders with non-tourists, see a fort with a mosque and both Hindu and Jain temples, and admire the spectacular grey langurs who hang around (literally) the fort at close range. As someone who has been on safari many, many times in eastern, southern, and central Africa, I can say that Ranthambore is a uniquely beautiful park because of the historic ruins throughout, the many lakes and rivers, and just an all-around spectacular landscape. We had incredible tiger sightings during our visit, but even without, Ranthambore is well worth visiting. And, if you can, make your time there incredibly memorable by indulging in the hospitality at Aman-i-Khas.

Just left this tranquil place after 3successful tiger hunting safaris! We booked 2 nights in this minimilistic yet super cosy tent which is as dramatic as a theatre stage! Room is very efficiently organised and very cosy. We happened to encounter cold weather during our stay and at no point did the tent feel cold. Our welcome and the stay was super …all the staff is great and the manager Kishan Singh always asked if we needed something. Casey our Batman was also very obliging and attentive to our requests… we both got a bit sick whilst we were there ( a cold and cough ) and he repeatedly offered to get us a doctor. Undoubtedly the highlight was the safari! With the help of the teamwork of the naturalist and the driver Pradeep Sharma &jitendra Singh we were able to spot 3 different tigers !!!! They never gave up- constantly communicating with other jeeps to see where is the best place to go and many times we noticed that they were the most knowledgeable and had most experience. Their enthusiasm is beyond anything you would imagine after so many years doing the job day after day. Unfortunately it was raining very very hard and animals tend to shelter but we still managed. The drivers driving is superb.we could enjoy the safari feeling at ease knowing that we were in experienced hands! The only downside is that we had booked 3 safaris and we could not cancel the morning one - it was very bad weather and after paying 200 euro per person we couldn’t cancel. I fully understand the fact that one would t be able to cancel under normal circumstances but considering how bad the storm was I felt it could have been an exception. Having said that , our safari was still fun and we managed to see the park in a different climate otherwise not accessible during monsoon season . Price is not on the low side but everything was great and understated. I would have loved at least one complementary bottle of wine since the tax was super high and the cheapest bottle will set you back over 50 euro. 10 points to sustainability efforts as regards the toiletries. An unforgettable experience made amazing by a team of lovely people! Reason to book this place: Pradeep, Jitendra & the team .

I had three nights here over NYE, after a week in Amanbagh, and I can't say enough good things. Like other Amans, Aman-I-Khas is even more beautiful than the photos on the website suggest. The tents are really stupendous, and widely spaced; the pool is lovely (though a bit too chilly in December, even with some degree of heating); and there's a lovely, mature meadow in the centre of the property which gives a sense of walking into and through the bush. The service is of course phenomenal, and our Batman Bijay nailed it: attentive, helpful and kind, without being too formal or in any way overbearing. Food was terrific, and we did three great safaris, on the last of which we saw three tigers together. The safaris were a real treat: we had a great driver in Bharat, and a truly inspiring guide, Suraj, the first and maybe only female guide in the park. What I'd not expected was the safaris to be so fun: staying at an Aman is usually about austere, meditative beauty, whereas the safaris are just a blast, tearing at high speed through staggeringly diverse and beautiful scenery. The park has many different zones, and I recommend at least three safaris to get a sense of some of this variety. Looking back I wish we had spent a bit longer here: quite apart from the safaris, this is a truly beautiful place to spend time, and I will definitely be back someday.
