My wife and I arrived afternoon of 9/26 as a stop over on the way to Bar Harbor. We received texts from the Inn to schedule our check-in. We were greeted by Dawn who gave brief tour of the Inn. In the back of the Inn is a bar which overlooks a quarter mile green way on the way to the bay. We purchased a bottle of prosecco and walked to the bay, sat in adirondack chairs and watched the sunset. Not bad. The Inn is 150 years old with an addition built in the 20's and is in good shape. Enjoyed the sound of the wood floors. Not much to do in Searsport but Belfast not far which has active shopping district with several restaurants. We received recommendations from the Inn which were well received. At the Inn, coffee, tea, snacks and water were available 24 hours a day. Breakfast was served from 7:30 until 9:00 a.m. I am an eggs, potato's and bacon kind of guy but the pumpkin french toast was fun. Rather than sit in the dining room (which also has worthwhile views) we were allowed a room to ourselves in the back bar area overlooking the grounds and the harbor.
