My experience at Bamboo Gardens was absolutely fantastic! The place was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had such a warm and inviting atmosphere. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, going above and beyond to make my stay special. The location was perfect—just a two-minute walk to the beach, with great restaurants, a main gym, and convenient taxi services right at the doorstep. The breakfast was delicious, and they even prepared a special meal to accommodate my dietary needs, which I truly appreciated. Everything about my stay was seamless, and I can't wait to return. I went one time. They dont pay the staff enough thats wy i put 1 star. They get 50 euro a month and some of them get 35 euro a month. If a employer is sick they dont continue paying them. It is modern slevery. The owner is from Libie and the staff from Libie get 10 times more then the Gambian people. I tought slavery was something from the history but in this hotel it stil excist.

The first room bi had was stinking of sewage i refused to take it so he put me in another room for the night ,then next afternoon he moved me to room 10 and when i saw the shower room it was disgusting water coming down the walls from above rooms big holes in the ceiling plaster falling down no fridge which I had to pay for the shower room mats were dirty and mouldy i threw them outside the front that's the only time they were cleaned in 2 weeks the pillow cover was ripped the cover for the boiler fell down as you can see from the pictures I said to the manager to come and see it and he i will talk to manager 3 times i complained nothing was done ,outside my back window there was an open sewage manhole breakfast first morning was cold and not very nice so I was eating out ball the rest of my holiday never stay there again i booked all this with tui,

Visited this resort again this year. Unfortunately I checked out earlier than planned. reasons? Things have happened that you don't want as a guest. Besides the fact that the resort is full of mosquitoes, what bothered me most was some of the reception staff. I know most of the employees. all nice and helpful. but some, like receptionists Fahou and Faizal, have to go back to school to learn how to deal with guests. they are not aware that Gambia lives from tourism.

Good location close to the beach short walk to senagambia there are a few restaurants close by , when we first read the reviews we were a bit worried what we were going to but it is basic but the bed is comfy it was cleaned everyday , the bar is a bit overpriced, we ordered food on the first night as it was a long day and couldn’t be bothered to go out it was awful and we didn’t eat it but was still made to pay for it , it was only when we were leaving that we found out the restaurant as no attachment to the hotel the lady who runs the restaurant was very abrupt , if you have any issues with the food don’t blame the hotel as it is not connected

Spent 11 nights here and would return. You get what you pay for and this wasn't the most expensive trip. The room was perfect for our requirements with a huge bed, plenty of storage space, electric sockets (UK Plug fitted these). Bathroom / Shower was a little dated but the shower was powerful enough. The pool water needed a little attention but was perfectly fine for the occasional dip to cool off. Location is good - just a short walk to the beach and other places to eat and drink are very close. You will get plenty of attention outside of the hotel, particularly from the local taxi drivers / tour guides. Staff were excellent and made the stay even more enjoyable. All in all - if you want something that isn't overly expensive but will give you a bit of winter sun with a warm, friendly and accommodating welcome then give it a shot.

I will like to thank each and every staff in bamboo garden, expecially buba in the front office, he's so kind and very helpful to us,we stay for a week but we really love our stay there, Everything is perfect there, and I will like to give a big thanks to the security guard Alieu . he's doing his work perfectly,and very kind person. And all the pool boys, gardeners and the housekeeper, thanks for your special service. And we like to come back again for sure, big thanks to buba once again, in the reception,.

No TV Staff nice but management not so accommodating. Need to pay staff better. Beakfast minimal. People who were staying changed accommodation. Rooms were dark needs an uplift. Rat droppings on kitchen surfaces in bedroom. Wouldn't stay there again. Good location.
