One of the highlights of the trip was staying in the IFC Residence. The cleanliness of the place and amazing smell throughout the hotel were wonderful. Employees were very nice and helped with many things, as it was my first time in Shanghai. The IFC residence is located next to a shopping mall, everything is really close. Surely I cannot forget to mention the best machine coffee, which you can drink on the balcony with a view of the city. Definitely recommend it this place.

The room is very spacious. Service is excellent. Location is super convenient. If the bed can be a bit bigger will be perfect.

Although this hotel has been built many years, its maintenance is great. Still very clean and confortable. As the location of this hotel is great and the cost is much lower than the other hotels at the same location, it is really the first priority to book this hotel in Shanghai

This property is extraordinary! Suitable for families to stay because it’s spacious and sparkling clean! Near to Pearl Tower, accessible to shopping centres and Metro. Nothing more to ask for! Highly recommended and will stay there again~

My family and I recently stayed at IFC Residence in Shanghai, and I can confidently say it was a perfect experience. The location is incredibly convenient, being right next to the metro line, which made getting around the city effortless. The apartment itself was outstanding – non-smoking, quiet, and soundproof, with top-notch amenities. It was well-equipped with a washing machine, a segregated kitchen area complete with a refrigerator, oven, induction cooker, and basin. The space was thoughtfully designed, and the view from the apartment was spectacular. While the curtains were manual, this was a minor detail in an otherwise impeccable setup. The service was equally impressive. The hotel housekeepers and counter staff were attentive, friendly, and professional, ensuring every need was met with efficiency. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and will definitely choose IFC Residence again for my next trip to Shanghai. Highly recommended!

Very convenient location, just 3 mins walk to line 14 metro (exit 10) from hotel lobby. The hotel entrance lobby is directly above the famous Da Dong Peking Duck restaurant inside the IFC mall at LG1. The rooms lift lobby is directly connected to the IFC mall by a door on level 3 (door operating hours 10am to 10pm). The 2 bedrooms suite comes with full set of kitchen appliances (oven, big fridge, washer/dryer, dish washer).

Thank you for upgrading to one bedroom this time. Everything is good as usual. Coming back again in Jan for a couple weeks.

Room was perfect and spacious. Kitchen was fully equipped. Good for families. Location just above IFC mall, and very close to subway station. Walkable to Oriental Pearl Tower and Huangpu river.

The hotel is located in the very center of Shanghai, offering a fantastically beautiful view. There is direct access from the hotel to a huge shopping mall (mainly featuring high-end brands) and the metro. On the top floor, there’s a swimming pool—not very deep, but enough for a swim. The room had all the necessary amenities: a worn-out ironing board and iron (I had a similar one back in 2007), a drip coffee maker (without filters), and a dirty, shabby toaster. The internet, TVs, bathroom, and beds were excellent. The downsides: there was a strong smell in the room and the corridors. This really bothered me, as it reminded me of the scent of an old grandmother’s closet where we used to play hide-and-seek. To me, it smelled like old carpets and rotting cloth. By the end of the week, I almost stopped noticing it, but when I unpacked my suitcase at home, I realized I had brought that smell back with me. Another downside is the cleanliness. On close inspection, there was plenty of dirt and dust in the corners and under the beds. The dishes were washed terribly, with food residue left on the forks. The front desk staff are competent and speak decent English. There is a luggage storage facility as well.

This hotel has far exceeded my expectation and being frequent flyer for luxury hotel, IFC Residence is one of the best I have stayed so far. When we first checked in, we had some trouble but both Mr. Mason & Ms. Peggy had being very kind and helpful to help us through. Their service was perfect! The hotel has a common lounge (accessible to all hotel guest) served with coffee and the best spot to take photo of iconic Shanghai Tower and the city! We spent hours just to relax for a great family time. The children took lots of selfie photos here. Metro & IFC Mall are just right below the hotel. Food, shopping and moving around especially by metro to Nanjing East Rd is easy for extra walk around. The room is huge! 2 toilets and one equipped with heated toilet seat! Well done IFC. We are looking forward to come back!

We stayed at this place for a week and it was an amazing experience. The room was very comfortable for the three of us. It was equipped with a dishwasher, washing machine, kitchenette, toaster, and kettle. A small dining and living room complemented the apartment, which were separated from the master room by sliding doors. The pool and the gym were well-equipped. The location could not have been better. The building is located close to the main tourist attractions of the Pudong area and only a couple of meters from a metro station.
