Nice team, no excuses and very proactive. Great place to stay for business or vacation. Close to nice places and parks. No need for a car if you enjoy walking. Metro station line 6 is too close to the hotel. 50 minutes walking to SNIEC (Shanghai New International Expo Centre). Nice Chinese noodle restaurants 3 minutes walking. It's important to have aliplay to make things. Thanks for the amazing experience during these 8 nights. I hope to be back soon.

The location is very good, about 50 meters from the subway station. The room is quite spacious. The cleanliness is good. The staff is very helpful. I was sick in the hotel for several days and could not go out to find food to eat. The hotel staff helped me order food for delivery. There are many breakfast options. The taste is okay. If I have a chance to come to Xiang Ai next time, this hotel is a good choice.

The room facilities are modern and comfortable, and the breakfast is diverse and delicious, making people feel very satisfied. Hotel room has a fantastic view day and night . Very quaint and quiet side of Shanghai . Nearby has many restaurants and cafes along the river side.

Saya tidak mempunyai jangkaan yang tinggi kerana ia adalah hotel yang kos efektif. Walau bagaimanapun, kakitangannya ramah dan bilik, walaupun kecil, sangat bersih dan selesa. Ia adalah perjalanan dengan anak saya dan ia adalah cara terbaik untuk meninggalkan kesan pertama yang baik tentang Shanghai. The hotel is ideally located and the staff are accommodating even though they speak very little English. It was also very quiet and peaceful once we were in the room. The main problem was the quality of the room. I chose this hotel because it said it was recent (2023) so my expectations were high for the room and the amenities. Throughout our whole stay the sliding front doors of the hotel were broken which meant that to enter the lobby you had to go through a smaller side door that was heavy to open. Not easy when you have suitcases. Also our room had a very strong chemical smell and damage to several of the walls and the furniture was broken with drawers that wouldn’t close. The hotel staff did provide some support by placing an air purifier and offering for us to change rooms.

I have stayed in multiple hotels in SH. Including The Conrad, Renaissance, Pudong Intercontinental and Maxx. Maxx is definitely a hotel with Character, Style, and Color. unlike your everyday & everywhere the same ‘typical 5* hotel’ it has many ‘caring’ features for a truly delightful experience. the flowery scent of the lobby area and the service coffee machine and tomatoes in the lobby, are just some of the small but very delicate warmth that I felt while staying at Maxx. the wooden floor in the room was very good too, especially with kids because carpet floors, how ever much you clean, it does have that raggedy smell with time. but not at maxx. The view? second to none obviously. the location? prime - right in front of the ferry to pudong. and 5-10mins from yuyuan gardens. Especially, the staff. I have had my share of rather unfriendly staff in China. But all of maxx’s staff were sooooo friendly and warm and kind. the door men (both Chinese and western person) - they helped us every time we went up and down the entrance stairs with our pram with the baby, and the check in staff were so caring too. And i see a lot of people complaining about the fact that the staff are not fluent in English. Bro, turn on your google translate man. you are half way across the Earth in China, and no where does it say anywhere ‘our staff are fluent in English’ - ‘when in Rome…’ - But to be fair, Maxx had multiple lady staff who were sufficient in English to my surprise, and she was really nice and helpful. (please give her a raise lol). Anyway I will definitely stay here again w/o even looking at other hotels in SH for sure. 10/10.

Special care to service, everyone was super kind and very professional, the room are very clean and the breakfast is good. I strongly recommend this hotel.

Staff are very nice despite some minor communication issues (language barriers). Clean and large room with separate wet and dry areas. A big plus for very comfy bed and good quality shampoo!! Housekeeping was daily and was generous with the minibar fill-up. I mostly took videos so here are the views from the room (2-3) and from the elevator area (1).

Saya menempah bilik keluarga. Keperluan harian yang bersih diisi semula setiap hari. Terdapat juga peti sejuk kecil yang boleh menyimpan air dan buah-buahan. Jika anda perlu menambah sesuatu, hubungi sahaja bilik tetamu dan ia akan dihantar serta-merta. Terdapat robot penghantaran kecil yang comel. Terdapat pelbagai jenis sarapan yang disediakan oleh hotel, sentiasa ada yang anda suka. Apa yang paling saya suka ialah hotel ini mempunyai bilik dobi dan gim. Saya menggunakan perkhidmatan dobi dan pakaian itu dikeringkan dengan segera di dalam pengering. Saya memakai pakaian bersih setiap hari dan menyimpan pakaian bersih. Di seberang hotel adalah stesen kereta api bawah tanah, yang sangat mudah untuk pergi ke mana-mana. Terima kasih kepada Yimo dan Yunling atas perkhidmatan mereka, serta kakitangan perkhidmatan yang lain, yang sangat bersemangat dan sabar. Saya akan memilih untuk datang ke sini semula apabila saya datang ke Shanghai pada masa akan datang.
