I've been to Shantou three times, always exploring the old town and trying out Chenghai's delicious food🍜. But accommodation was always an afterthought… I never expected that staying at the [Shantou Junhua Haiyi Hotel] this time would be so comfortable and relaxing. I also discovered so many pleasant surprises nearby, I'm already planning my next visit!💖 Even though it's an older five-star hotel, it doesn't show its age at all. The service is still attentive and thoughtful, with care evident in every detail.💕 🛏️ The city view room offers an expansive view. Lounging in the chair with tea, enjoying a relaxed moment after breakfast – this is exactly what a holiday should feel like🌿. That Roselle tangerine peel tea upon check-in🍵 was full of Chaoshan flavor. And the vintage Rolls-Royce in the lobby instantly transported me back in time✨. The room is spacious and bright. The design of the dressing mirror is perfect for women💄, allowing you to leisurely blow-dry your hair and do your makeup… In that moment, I truly felt: treat yourself well, it's so worth it🌸. Speaking of details, even the towels felt incredibly soft and gentle on the skin🧖♀️. The bathroom is spacious. Even if you don't take a bath after a long day of walking, the extendable shower space is perfect. It's so therapeutic after walking thousands of steps. The upgraded smart control panel📱 allows you to adjust lights, curtains, and air conditioning with just one touch – convenient and modern! The buffet breakfast offers a rich selection🍽️. My favorite was still that bowl of Chaoshan plain congee, served with 6 special side dishes. The authentic flavors instantly awakened my taste buds😋. The swimming pool is clean and clear🏊♀️, and the gym is well-equipped. Gotta stay active even when traveling!💪 Exploring the surroundings brought even more surprises🌟: absolutely worth a second visit for the great food and fun! You can walk to [Longyan South Food Street]! For a late-night snack, I went to Baihua Road and had a super fresh Chaoshan claypot porridge🥣. In the morning, I strolled to Longbei Market and bought a ton of fresh ingredients, which I could even have shipped directly home📦. It truly allowed me to eat happily and stay comfortably. I sincerely recommend it to anyone visiting Shantou!💘

The room was great, and the service was excellent. The parking lot was spacious and free, and it's very close to Longyan South Road Food Street.

This hotel is located in a bustling downtown area, right next to MixC shopping mall. The Long'an Night Market is just a 10-minute walk from the entrance. Longbei Market (known for pastries, various kinds of meatballs, and seafood) is also nearby. All the city's attractions are easily accessible from the hotel, and you can rent electric bikes or bicycles right outside. If you're traveling by car, it's also convenient as the hotel has a parking lot; just inform the front desk of your license plate number for free parking. The hotel even has an electric vehicle fast-charging station.

All the staffs that we encountered are friendly, courteous and extremely helpful. Before we even arrived to this hotel, the front desk staffs went above and beyond to safe guard our package that was in transit to their place. Their helpfulness really ease our mind. When we arrived there, not only we got our package, but we got upgraded to a suite. The moment we got into the room, we were pleasantly surprised by its space and its comfort. This hotel is centrally located to all the attractions, malls, and famous night markets! We also love their pool so much. It is clean, long, and crystal clear and not saturated with chlorine smell. And we really love their little gesture of providing different refreshing drinks in the lobby, it was highly appreciated after a long walk in the hot and humid weather outside. All and all, both my husband and I love this hotel so much, we will not hesitate to book with them again. And we will definitely recommend this hotel to my friends and family.

Decided to extend our stay at this hotel. Near to longyan south road food street.

I'm starting by giving five stars due to the excellent service. They specifically arranged a room with a king bed and a single bed for us, which was very helpful. The location is also fantastic, with a MixC mall and a food street right nearby. The reception staff during check-in were friendly and attentive. However, there were a few areas that could be improved. For breakfast, the bowls for the Kway Teow were far too small; the soup kept spilling, making them really hard to carry. Larger bowls would definitely be better. Additionally, by 9 AM, all the drinks and fruits were already gone, even though breakfast officially finished at 10 AM. We stayed for two nights, and unfortunately, the second night was quite disruptive. The room next door had constant traffic at 3 AM, with people going in and out, and smoking with their door open. This caused the door alarm to constantly blare and filled the hallway with smoke. We called the front desk, and the situation improved slightly. Another disturbance was the KTV on the 7th floor below us, with people singing loudly late into the night. On a much more positive note, the hotel's Chinese restaurant was absolutely delicious. We ordered many dishes, and not a single one disappointed – everything was excellent.

Still craving Shantou cuisine since last summer, this was my second stay at the Golden Gulf Hotel. Its location is superb, being close to the city center and just a 10-minute walk from Longyan South Road Snack Street, which is bustling with eateries. The hotel lobby is spacious and bright, and the front desk staff were very welcoming. Check-in was efficient and smooth. The rooms are spacious, elegantly and comfortably decorated. The bed was soft, the room was neat and clean, and came with all the necessary amenities. The hotel's fitness facilities are well-equipped, and there's also a heated swimming pool – perfect for working off all the delicious food after a culinary tour! I was delighted to meet 'Tuhao Ge' again; he was incredibly enthusiastic, recommending excellent dining spots and travel itineraries for the Chaoshan region. I'm truly thankful for the encounter! This time, I also had the opportunity to try the Chinese restaurant on the second floor. Every dish was freshly prepared by hand, making them healthy, fresh, and delicious. Overall, the Shantou Golden Gulf Hotel excels in its facilities, service quality, and location, making it an ideal choice for business or leisure travelers to Shantou. I would definitely consider staying here again on my next visit.

We booked a connecting room. While the hotel is a bit dated, the facilities are still quite well-maintained. The location is very convenient: a short walk to the right leads to the bustling Longyannan Road Food Street, and a 10-minute walk to the left brings you to MixC City. Around 2 kilometers away, there's a well-established dim sum restaurant, Jinfeng Teahouse, which is definitely worth a visit. The hotel also offers complimentary souvenirs, which was a thoughtful touch. For breakfast, we found a small local eatery in a nearby residential area; a bowl of kway teow was 20 yuan, and the beef was surprisingly good.

The location is incredibly convenient, just a 20-minute drive from Shantou Station. Long'an Road Food Street and MixC shopping mall are only a few minutes away, making it super easy for dining, entertainment, and shopping. This established 5-star hotel provides attentive service, and the lobby tea was particularly good. It features an antique Rolls-Royce and lion dance displays, along with an indoor pool and bathtubs that the kids absolutely loved. Guests can also request a late check-out, and ample parking is available. Furthermore, it's very convenient to take a bus from Shantou Station to Nanao Island. Overall, this hotel offers fantastic value for money. Highly recommended!

Our room was well-equipped with darts, Ludo, and Lego bricks, and even featured a fun Little Yellow Duck theme. My children absolutely adored it and were so sad to leave, already asking to come back for another stay. The lobby offered complimentary drinks like lemonade, and we even saw a lion dance display. While the pool isn't huge, it was very quiet when we visited in the morning, and the kids had a fantastic time swimming. They also provided a complimentary Little Yellow Duck bath set. The hotel's location is excellent, within easy walking distance of Longyan South Road. When we ordered takeout, a robot swiftly delivered it right to our room. I was initially concerned that the facilities might be outdated when booking, but our stay far exceeded expectations. We checked in around 2 PM, and it's convenient that you can store your luggage in the lobby if you arrive early.

The room was very spacious. As we were traveling with a large family, we specifically booked a large suite, which was perfect for the kids to play in. The next morning, when the children couldn't wake up for breakfast, we asked if we could pack some for them. A huge thank you to staff member Zheng Jiajia for her assistance! Unfortunately, we had a minor accident on our way back to Shenzhen, and my phone became unusable, so I couldn't settle the hotel bill. My sincerest apologies for the inconvenience. Despite this, we will definitely choose to stay here again!
