Wonderful stay, and amazing breakfast! The customer reception is unparalleled. Loved it!

As always, the food was the highlight of my stay. The breakfast had a lot to offer and everything tasted amazing. The room was spacious and cozy with amenities to match the price. I was there in shillong the previous night at Marriot and i was disappointed with the food, service and the rooms there. 5 star for Vivanta Shillong. A smaller spread of land but done right. Highly recommended from an avid traveller.

Location of the Hotel is simply the unbeatable advantage of this property. It is a walkable distance from the iconic Center point building of Police Bazaar. We had an upgrade and were accommodated in two suites on first floor of the hotel. The suites are spacious and well kept with minimum adornments or decor. One might find them crammed because they have no inviting windows to look outside. One of our suites, overlooked at a construction site and the other overlooked the corridor which overlooked the restaurant lobby below (Which is a very weird setting for a window anyways). The staff at the Hotel is courteous and extremely mindful. It is a strongly wo*** steered hotel, from reception to all kinds of service. AND this a huge compliment to this place. They seem however to be a little understaffed, because all the stewards seem to be in a haste and hurry. When you are at a vacation, you like scenario to be relaxed and calm. AND here all the stewards are just running, as if they will miss a train or a plane. That was the only disconcerting experience. Some praise however for the fact that the staff was unobtrusive and didn't barge in your privacy with seemingly hospitable but essentially annoying questions. AND also, they don't furnish the tables with QR codes for rating on apps for booking or reviewing hotels (which is just obnoxious and degenerative). Overall, Good.

Extremely hospitable and competent staff, rooms are comfortable, above average F&B. Overall a very pleasant experience.

AV Singh guided me and trained me personally at the gym - was one of my best workouts!! Thanks for making me feel less guilty about eating the extra calories on my holiday :D The property provides great services and a very warm and welcoming environment

Very conveniently located, can step out and experience real Shillong. Loved the freshness of the interiors of the rooms. And enjoyed the tasty food and staff courteous. All in all excellent for the quaint local feel, whether on business or leisure! The Spa is the cutest.

First of all this was my first experience in Shillong and I must say taj vivant Shillong services was top notch and the staff has taken such good care of us right from the beginning , I would like to thank you all the department for such a marvelous job and special thanks to restaurants team and the kitchens team for pampering us, being a senior citizens this is the best service I've ever experienced. Special mention to Linda for for being a great food suggestions when it comes to food or places and Naphi and Meba for the warm services with such a great smile . We live in Guwahati and keep traveling to Shillong for weekend getaway however this was our first stay at Vivanta Shillong. We loved the experience and at every touchpoint our experience kept getting better and this has something to do with Taj's training. The food was one of the best we have tried in the recent past and to top it up with lovely behavior of the staff made us feel so welcomed. Keep up the good work. Best from the Borkatakys
