So the first impression of the hotel is walking through a weird sort of long conservatory type room to get into the hotel properly. It's just odd and I can only presume it's there for coaches of people to wait in until their ride arrives, rather than filling up the reception. The reception area itself is very pleasant and the receptionist was welcoming when checking us in. The room itself again is just weird. We walked in off the corridor to what can only be described as a porch entrance, with coat hooks, somewhere to put your shoes, and a door into the bathroom. There is then another door that you have to pass through to get into the rest of the room. Upon first impressions, the room is clean and tidy, with a bed, sofa, and weirdly enough a big table with an office chair on one side and a mismatched dining chair on the other. This table however is nowhere near any plug sockets so wouldn't be ideal for working from for any length of time from. It felt like I was walking into an interview. The weirdness continues when you see that the whole room is carpeted, apart from a random corner that was tiled instead - Why?!? We chose to eat onsite at the ”Award winning” Curry House. Well the service was good, however the meals themselves weren't. The curries were literally just chunks of chicken floating round in flavoured sauces - not an actual bit of veg - onion, pepper, etc. to see in the dishes at all. And both my wife and I suffered horrific indigestion afterwards. The Cream Room Coffee House doesn't exist. It's just the Curry House during the day, with a coffee machine in which they stick Starbucks beans. The coffee is ok but please don't try to sell it as something more than it actually is. The breakfast the following morning which was served in the Off the Bone bar and covered the usual requirements - an assortment of ingredients from a fry up, pastries, yoghurts, cereal etc. This was ok. The rooms in this hotel are in serious need of renovating and I wouldn't really think of using this hotel again if I were staying in the area a second time.

The small hotel is located in the small pedestrian area in down town Limerick. noteable was the warm welcome and the extended information we received as er check in. The hotel was newly renovated, with a decent size of the hotel room. It also has a ”living room” with free tea and coffee and a gym. Even so that the gym looked more as a storage room. Breakfast is served in a small cafe belonging to the hotel. So you could order breakfast a la carte, which we did and everything which we got was good and tasty. So Limerick is a nice town and if you decide to stay in this town the hotel is a good choice.
From the very second we pulled up at the entrance of this beautiful boutique hotel until the minute we left, we were in a state of total relaxation and peace of mind. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful. The beds were extremely comfortable and decor was luscious. The whole ambience was zen and wonderful. Very close to city centre and a lovely park right across the road, best of both worlds. The food and the cocktails were also fantastic. Looking forward to returning very soon.
PPengguna Tanpa NamaHad a fantastic stay. Really comfy beds, friendly staff and a great location. The cold water station in the reception was appreciated
I arrived in Limerick early - around noon. This was the first leg of my road trip of Ireland. On the off-chance, went up to the delightful receptionist to ask if there was any way I could get early check in or store my suitcase somewhere. With a nod and a smile she responded ”no problem - your room is ready now and we have upgraded you to a lovely room”. I mean, win-win at this point. Was offered help with luggage but declined - though offer still a nice touch. Went up to the room and it was simply amazing. As a regular solo-traveller, I am all to often chucked into the tiniest rooms. This was fit for a king. I couldn't believe my luck. I felt like a celebrity! Don't know what I did to deserve this - maybe just pot luck?! Parked the car across the road above Dunnes (you get discounted parking there). Came back and just had to thank the receptionist for the lovely room. She was an absolute delight to talk to - ever so friendly. Was shown the bar (I needed a drink as the roads in Lim are mental, like!). The room was exactly like the pictures. Super clean, smell gorgeous, well decorated, modern but elegant. Lovely toiletries. Nespresso coffee maker. Plenty of free drinking water. Corridors and the rest of the hotel equally immaculate and smell beautiful. The Savoy, for me at least, ticks every box and gets things right. A classy, elegant hotel but not snotty and exclusive. It's tricky to strike that balance. I like somewhere nice to stay whilst not being looked down upon. Great location too - slap bang in the middle of town - lots of shops and attractions nearby. Thank You Savoy and your staff. It helped make my Irish road trip an unforgettable, enjoyable memory. So much so, I am doing it again next year and will see you again soon!
Stayed here for a weekend recently while attending an event elsewhere in the city. My stay got off to a bit of a bad start due to an issue with my reservation. I will point out this was escalated to a manager and resolved to my satisfaction within a very short period, however it should not have happened in the first place. Hotel itself was good, staff were pleasant and helpful. I stayed on the executive room so my room was very spacious, there were plenty of towels provided and I had a separate shower which was nice. Some reviews mention that on the upper floors they were bothered by noise from weddings on the top floor, I dud not find this a problem .was good too a.though capacity of the dining room was a bit limited at busy times. I also used the pool which again was nice although at times quite crowded with children. Some negatives: the price of food and drinks was outrageous, it was 23 euro for a burger and chips in the bar and soft drinks ranged from 4 to 5 euro. I got a similar meal for €5 less in a place in the centre. The hospitality industry are crying out how hard things are but they will not survive charging these prices Would I return? I would love to, but at a room rate of €300 per night along with the price of food and drink I’m not sure I could justify it.
SShrioplassMy husband and I stayed at this lovely hotel for 6 nights last week. It was our second visit and once again we received excellent service from all the staff. I informed the hotel prior to our arrival that my husband would be celebrating his birthday during our stay. They very kindly gave him a birthday card and a lovely selection of mini cakes which he thoroughly enjoyed. The restaurant has a very good selection of meals, we dined there on 3 nights. I can say that the Stir fried chicken with vegetables and cashew nuts was one of the best I have ever had. My husband loved the crab and prawn linguinni. Breakfast offers a wide variety of food to suit all people, you won't go away hungry. The hotel is a good place to relax, and the leisure facilities are excellent. We shall visit it again in the future.
CChristina SuppleI stayed here as my partner was having his 50th in the city and as a treat i booked this hotel beautiful big room. Woke the next morning to bites on my leg wash my leg and didn't think much more of them until more bites started to appear on my body! With a trip to my G.P as i couldn't sleep with the itching and hotness it was confirmed as BED BUGS! I rang hotel 3 separate times and spoke to 3 different people and was told that they would get Exterminators into the room and not 1 phone call did i get from any manager to ask me about my experience... i also emailed the hotel and sent photos and no response!!!. Its been 4weeks since I've stayed to say I'm disappointed in my experience is an understatement.
We came to this hotel to attend a gig at (the stadium) the location was excellent, perfect for us to walk into town and then onto the venue which was exactly what we were after. There were also good bars and restaurants on the doorstep. The room was clean and very spacious with a nice bathroom and shower. The staff were helpful with recommendations for places to go too and we enjoyed exactly the experience we required for our weekend.
