When we enter the room, there’s a terrible smell like “old” or not cleaned well, The shower curtain was broken, there was a strange door (which we dont know going where in the room), the aircon is TERRIBLE! Not working well, and the door from the hallway is very hard to open. We had a very bad stay in this hotel.

Would highly recommend this hotel. Stayed 3 nights with breakfast included. Central location , walking distance to Brussels Central, large selection of restaurants & shopping district. Hotel spotless, breakfast very adequate, staff very friendly & welcoming from check in, to dining, to the cleaning staff. Credit to all the staff. If I was to pick a flaw, it would be to upgrade carpets in room, but it's a minor thing to complain about.

The location is very good, right next to the grand place. However, the rooms are old and need to be updated. The sink in the bathroom and the woodwork had cracks. The corridors were dark and dingy. The lamps or coffee machine have to be disconnected to be able to charge one’s devices. There are no adapters or usb ports. The day we arrived, the bell boy was on holiday, so there was no one to help with the bags. The front office staff, other than the most junior of them, seemed totally disinterested. The room was hot in the night and the aircon panel did not work. When we told the front office staff that the air conditioning didn’t work adequately, they didn’t even acknowledge what we were saying, let alone offer any explanation or apology. The breakfast was fine, but the staff again showed very little interest in even asking if we wanted a cooked breakfast. Wouldn’t recommend.

Just come home from a short two night stay at the hotel and everything was positive. Reception was down a few steps but there's a lift down for anyone who struggles with step. Check in was smooth and took less than 2 minutes . The room was very nice two single beds spaced quite close but if you are staying with friends or family this isn't an issue. Bathroom was clean and large with a bath and shower shower gel and shampoo was supplied attached to the wall in the shower. Free water daily stocked into the room fridge and also free coffee for the coffee machine. The later check out of 12 was a bonus and the hotel are happy to store luggage should you be on an evening flight. The hotel has a nice bar and all staff are friendly . The only issue would be because its such a large hotel the lifts are always busy we had to walk down the stairs from the 10th floor a few times which is a lot of steps so anyone on a higher floor just be warned if you aren't too good at walking. The area around the hotel is pretty nice a bit like a business district but venture a few streets behind and it gets a bit grim and becomes a bit more shady just a warning to have your wits about you if going that way .

Hotel Siru is bijzonder goed gelegen voor wie in de kantoren rond het Noord-station moet zijn of voor wie Brussel wil verkennen. De toegangsdeur is defect en dus moet men binnengaan via het hotel ernaast. De mensen aan het onthaal zijn vriendelijk en behulpzaam. De lift is klein en verouderd. In de traphal is de signalisatie onduidelijk… De kamer is op zich ok: klein en net, maar ook met een degelijk bed, bureautje, stopcontacten en USB-poorten voor bv. het opladen van een gsm, grote kast. De WiFi-verbinding is slecht en valt geregeld uit. Het verduisteringsgordijn is net te klein waardoor je de kamer eigenlijk niet kan verduisteren. Op de deur zitten vieze lijmsporen en een evacuatieplan ontbreekt. Er is koffie en water op de kamer. De badkamer met toilet, lavabo en douche is ook klein. Er zijn handdoeken, zeepjes enz. De douche loopt echter nauwelijks tot niet door en is afgeboord met gladde tegeltjes met vervuilde voegen (w.o. ook schimmels). Ook het toilet spoelt moeilijk door. Jammer genoeg is er ‘s nachts heel veel lawaai: straatlawaai vanop het plein, maar ook veel storende geluiden uit de bovenliggende badkamers en douches. Ik vermoed dat hier ook nogal wat mensen logeren die naar de luchthaven moeten want vanaf 4.30 u. hoor je mensen de kamer en de gang verlaten…. Vaak met slaande deuren. Het ontbijt is ok: goede koffie (maar slechts een machine…) en fruitsap, voldoende keuze aan brood en beleg, roerei, worstjes, kaas, charcuterie en zelfs fruitsla. Als het druk is, worden de tafels echter niet vlug genoeg afgeruimd waardoor je vaak aan een tafeltje moet zitten waarop de kruimels, vuile kopjes en bestek van vroegere gasten bleven staan. Ik kan dit hotel m.a.w. niet aanbevelen. Het aantal negatieve punten is nl. te groot. En dus zijn prijs en geboden kwaliteit zeker niet in evenwicht. Hier kom ik alvast niet meer terug.

The location of hotel is super! You can reach all places on foot only. Room is so big which we never expected. It’s super clean. Though it’s located at the grand place, but it’s quite during sleeping. Nothing can complain while you could hv a drink at the square and just walking back. So disappointing that we just stayed one night. We would sure come back again! It’s my favourite hotel now.

We slept there for five quiet nights and found the staff polite and helpful. The double room and bathroom were clean, and the kitchenette was reasonably well equipped, with everything in working order. The accommodation did not have air conditioning, although the fan was adequate. Other positives include the great location near the metro and other public transport, restaurants, shops, tourist sites and 24-hour on-site service. The communal areas were clean and useful, including after checkout. Suggestions: A notice in the room regarding disposal of the rubbish since the cleaners come weekly. The landline did not work in our room. I would stay there again since the price was also reasonable and the internet was reliable.

Stayed for three nights and had a lovely stay, only problem was the lifts weren't working the morning I was due to check out anyway, but besides that this hotel is a hidden gem in the city centre in Place des Martyrs. Rogier station is just a few minutes walk through the shopping centre, for airport bus, train and metro connections. I specifically chose Juliana as this hotel has a swimming pool and wellness facilities, with a mini gym and not many hotels in Brussels have pools. The room I requested was a quiet room on high floor away from lifts, room 306. Very comfortable, but be aware that the large top window brings in a lot of light, you need to ask to get it closed away or it will be very light. It's wonderful to provide Milton Brown toiletries and I enjoyed the Nespresso style coffee and teas provided. Housekeeping were helpful, I lost an earring in the bathroom basin and one of the ladies help recover it, so merci to her for her assistance. Pool, sauna and steam room are great, but be aware that there is no changing area, so go directly down to basement ready changed and wear slippers provided in the bathroom drawers. Staff were very helpful and friendly, I would definitely stay here again if I return to Brussels.

This aparthotel serves the needs of those wanting the ability to make their own breakfast and even basic meals. It is conveniently located for the European institutions. One suggestion to management is to supply rubber mats to prevent slipping in the shower - either for all or in response to requests. At present there is a risk, especially for the older generation, and none could be supplied. Overall, I was well satisfied - just couldn't stand on one leg to wash my feet!

Expectations would though be set right if downgraded to three stars for a short time whilst necessary repairs and maintenance is undertaken. Longer assessment: 1. Cleanliness and state: A hotel room can keep between 3 to 10 years subject to location and who you ask (carpenters like to say 3 to 5 years, hotel owners aim for 7 to 10). This hotel has operated 6 years. Make shift repairs are visible, wear and tear on faucets, beds and other furniture is evident. As part of uplift I would advise to look for quality doors, fodder, walling and window materials. Current is thin and dents are far too easily visible. Housekeeping tooling and checklists should be reviewed to raise cleanliness and reduce bump-tear. 2. Location: Close to central station and tourist amenities is a plus. The neighborhood is though under evolution with several major construction sites. One right out the window. 3. Service: Evening reception smoking at the sidewalk was not four stars. However, this was saved by the diplomatic, respectful and attentive morning staff. Not to mention local hotel management who engaged politely and to everyone's best. 4. Value: Breakfast buffet is average in size and of good quality. I could even notice a waffle iron which is a nice touch. Nearby hotels - e.g. Hygge, Mercure and Marriot - advertise at the same or lower prices this month with less torn facilities (July 2024).
