We were there around end of December, 2022. The owners started this business 6 months before our stay. They are so nice to accommodate all our requests, like gave us a microwave oven while our stay, so we could have take out food. The breakfast had eggs, cheese, yogurt, cold cuts and great coffee. Good food, service, and clean. 3 things to notice: —It’s not 24 hours hotel, so be sure your get code from order website to get in, and remember the owner phone number. The owner showed up in several minutes. —It’s 7 -10 walking minutes from train station with slopes . Not difficult for us, but if your physical ability do not allow, call Uber around 4-6 euros. —There is no elevator , only stairs to 2nd floor. Ask for downstairs if you can’t handle luggage. There is only one room downstairs, with a small yard. It’s an extension attachment, so we heard the rain dancing on top, or imagine it was a symphony, it didn’t bother us. The owners knew it, we suggested build a V roof , instead of the current flat one. The environment is so convenient, 2 grocery stores almost next door, bus stops in front , many restaurants. 15 minutes walk to castle/palace, a must go. We like the place very much, a good offer for the money.

Comfortable room, very nice breakfast, hotel is reasonably priced and has lovely staff, beds are comfortable and Air con is effective , it's on a quiet street and everywhere is walkable, car park close by, but there is a drop off place by hotel you can collect parking ticket which costs €5 per day . Only negative is that there is no lift and it's a three storey building

The staff could not have been more accommodating: We had difficulty finding our way because the GPS on our rented motorcycle failed us. I can't be sure if it was Yolanda and Rita (and a gentleman whose name I don't remember) who met us in town and accompanied us to the hotel, but we were grateful and touched by how everyone extended themselves. Our downstairs living quarters overlooked a sweet square, breakfast was delicious, and right next door is an adorable cafe with a charming proprietress. Guimaraes is a worthy stop and Casa do Juncal is very special!

PPengguna TetamuQuite amazing hotel in a converted monastery. The rooms are not huge, but that didn't spoil anything. It's an easy walk in to the town. We had lunch in town and spent the afternoon in the beautiful hotel pool. The hotel grounds are well kept and offer unexpected treats such as the waterfalls. Dinner at the hotel was a treat, the food was excellent and the service first class. All the staff were friendly, professional and welcoming. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the hotel. It's something special. Remember to download the Bolt ride share app for an easy and cheap ride from town back to the hotel.

En plein cœur de Guimaraes, un immeuble de caractère entièrement rénové; la chambre est de belle taille, ainsi que la salle de bains, la literie est très confortable, et le lieu est parfaitement calme. Plein de restaurants à moins de 200 m à pied, et l'on peut très facilement se garer pour la nuit , gratuitement, au pied de l'hôtel. Le petit déjeuner est copieux, varié, avec des produits de qualité. Deux petits bémols: Ce n'est pas vraiment un hôtel; la plage de réception est courte, mais le système de récupération et de dépose des clés est parfaitement rodé, et l'on est bien suivi à distance,.... à condition de disposer d'un smartphone !!! Les vitraux au-dessus de la porte de la chambre donnent un beau cachet à l'ensemble, ... mais laissent largement passer la lumière du couloir qui reste allumé tout au long de la nuit !!! Masque obligatoire si l'on est sensible à la lumière.

Breakfast was a real joy, no buffet to manoeuvre just sit and have excellent service and a very good breakfast. The only problem we had was finding the entrance , it was raining so it made it a little more difficult , an extra bit of signage would do wonders . All in all a superb stay . Well done staff .

The room was not well maintained: the bidet was cracked, the bathtub was a bit clogged, taking long time to drain. The room furniture was burnt in some spots and there were stains in the carpet. There was a side chair which also was full of stains.

While in Guimarães we realised why we had such a problem finding a hotel in the area we wanted to be in, as there was the CONTEXTILE 2022 - Contemporary Textile Art Biennial 03.09. – 30.10.2022. The town was absolutely heaving the weekend we were there. It is over twenty years since we stayed in an IBIS hotel, and that was in the UK. We thought we would give this a try as we had no luck getting in anywhere else even though we looked early enough in the year for a place. We booked months ago. We had just arrived back from a break in Porto and the Açores. So this is our second stay in an Ibis hotel, and definitely our last! After checking in the previous evening, we went to the bar and asked for a beer and a glass of white wine. The chap on reception said we could only have a white wine if we bought the bottle, so we declined that offer as my husband only drinks red wine or beer. Later in the evening we arrived back and a young woman was on reception/bar duty. So I asked if I could have a glass of red wine? She told me I would have to buy a bottle of red! I asked her if they did anything by the glass? Yes, was her reply, I could buy a glass of white wine, which I did, and my husband had a beer. I don't know why the receptionist /barman told us why we would have to buy white wine when we were basically in Vinho Verde region where it is abundant! The room itself was clean and tidy, but in a time warp of the nineteen seventies with it's Neopolitan decor. Bed is comfy enough. The power block and the aircon were the only bonuses I can think of. Only a bath towel each, no hand towels, we really do like a hand towel after washing our hands and faces, NOT ideal to use a bath towel for this! The receptionist who worked mornings was very helpful and pleasant. As for breakfast, which was adequate, the fact that two people sat at a table for four, every morning while we were there, and put their bags and scarves on the chairs beside them is really annoying. Trying to get a table at your allotted time is bad enough, getting a table with two chairs was almost impossible at times. I asked for a chair, and the elderly woman looked at me with steely eyes because I was expecting her to put her bag and scarf on her knee, or at worst, the floor! How inconsiderate am I? I felt sorry for the lady who was in charge of making sure everything was there for breakfast, she was on her own and very busy. So many people just left their dirty trays on the tables and walked away knowing that other people would be turning up for breakfast. We all like to sit down to a clean table, but if other guests are too lazy to move their dirty trays, then there isn't a lot you can do about improving their manners. Three people turned up one morning and they stood by the table and waited for the lady who ran the kitchen, to come out of the kitchen to move the dirty trays to the trolley for them, the trolley being less tha

Kakitangannya mesra, SPA agak bagus, kolam renang 25 meter hebat, GYM sangat berkuasa, dan kakitangan Gym sangat baik dan mesra.
Sarapan boleh ditambah baik, boleh dikatakan betul, tetapi tidak begitu baik.
Pada suatu malam penghawa dingin rosak dan mereka menukar bilik pada waktu tengah hari. Ia tidak begitu menyenangkan, tetapi kakitangan cuba menyelesaikan semua masalah dengan cara yang paling mesra, yang meninggalkan saya dengan rasa pahit manis kerana saya bangun sangat letih, tetapi tidak boleh terganggu kerana orang ingin menyelesaikannya dengan sangat. cara yang mesra, secara amnya saya mengesyorkan hotel dan akan mengulanginya lagi tanpa mengira kecacatan.
