We stayed here for a single night on our way from Stockholm to Oslo. It is a good stopping point in between these cities and Karlstad itself is a pretty town, but small. The hotel room was clean and reasonable with good wifi and a good shower. There is a small bar in the hotel with friendly staff, making that a nice place to have a relaxing drink before dinner. We also had dinner at the hotel and while it was nothing special and served as a buffet, the food was wholesome and reasonably good. The included breakfast was a bit spare, but perhaps this reflected the fact that we were shooting for a very early start when we left.

LlenesofiThe hotel has a great location right in the center of town. Right now there’s a massive hole right outside the door though, because of road works, so the gps got us turned around a bit. The hotel itself was ok, but with an impersonal feel - little information at check-in about facilities, breakfast hours etc, and you have to use a qr-code to book breakfast time, which probably makes it easier to plan, but added to the impersonal feel and also a bit stressful for a vacation trip. The breakfast was great though, large variety and lovely set up!

PPengguna TetamuGreat breakfast and comfortable room with a very professional staff that were accomodating to my needs. A lot of variety options for the breakfast, all in all standard as such but the setting is extra cozy and warm in such a lovely restaurant. My room was small and cheap but this was not my experience when I arrived. Well, the size was as advertised but the setting was exceptional with an incredibly comfortable bed and a huge pillow of superb quality. I also requested extra pillows and more blankets, though the room was warm enough upon arriving, I wanted that extra for my own comfort and the staff took care of it immediately without any fuss. It was one of the best hotel rooms I've had (and bed) and that's comparing it to rooms at the Harbour Hotel in Boston, MA & The *****, in Vegas. The room was clean at arrival and (per request by sign) clean after night one to a high standard.

MMo1808if you get a room with a view of the lovely lake Klarälven, then you are in for a treat. The beauty of the river makes your stress level drop considerable. The staff was very friendly but that we knew from before as people from Värmland are genuine people and seems so kind ( My mum was from Värmland so hopefully so hopefully I got some piece of this as well :-) the restaurant is modern and most seats have the must needed lake view, but the meny could benefit from more dishes and variety. we will be back!

PPengguna TetamuThe location of this hotel is good, quite in the center and close to the gallery of Lars Lerins (Sandgrund). It is always good when the staff is certain about which location is best to park in, I would urge the hotel administration to get a deal with on of the parking companies nearby. The interior of the hotel could be nicer, both when it comes to furnishing and painting of the wall (loose skirting board should be attached). Karlstad is the home of the Swedish roastery 'Löfbergs Lila', that should be celebrated when breakfast is served. The hotel has nice staff, cleanliness was good, elevator in place.
