Hotel Olympia

First time here but I will NOT be returning! The islands are absolutely stunning.. like picturesque scenery. The food is average..they just like their pastries. They are a very religious country and especially where i was staying they judge anyone who is different. They treat tourists different how they treat their own. They seem very laid back, so laid back like they don't care. Yet the locals and people who live there are complete an utter rude and abrupt Here are a few bad things I experienced on my trip. [ ] No tea bags or kettle in room and when asked they told me they don't supply tea in rooms and I have to pay for it. [ ] Location is in the middle of nowhere (10mins to the latest bustop) [ ] Bus driver when I went to get the bus slammed his door in my face twice. [ ] A nightmare around the hotel when they had conferences on which in winter term off season was mostly evey few days. [ ] Denied water unless you pay for it. Complimentary water is a one time thing. [ ] Ordered drink and food at the sky bar (aria bar) and took 45 mins to arrive. Had to wait around and didn't take payment. Delay with everything. No rush for anything. Too laid back [ ] Last night of my stay I came down for dinner as I had a massage late at the spa which to say the least was an €84 of disappointment. I arrived at the restaurant 10 mins before they were closing and tried to grab the food that is left. I grabbed only 1 plate as by the time I sat down they took all the hot food off as it was 9pm. Yet at breakfast when people arrive past the closing time they allow the guests to eat the food and keep the hot food buffet out longer. I was rushed to have my dinner which I was not happy about and not 1 server came to ask my drinks order...I had to go up and ask which is still poor customer service. Last thing I needed after a relaxing spa massage was to be rushed. Not my best first time experience of croatia. Hope this helped

Hotel is frontbeach located. Rooms are spacious and clean. Internet is fast , and cable tv also is available. We recieved extra bed for free. Breakfast and dinner are excellent and tasty. You have 4 swimming pool outside (2 adult/2 for kids). Overall 5/5

Family of 4 stayed at Hotel Olympia in June 2024. Both Hotel Olympia & Olympia Sky share all the same facilities / restaurants. Rooms were comfortable & cleaned daily. Room did not have a kettle but reception provided one immediately when asked. One major problem with the rooms is their keycard system. The key cards are deactivated very easily so had to go to reception numerous times per day to gain access to our rooms. Hotel are aware this is an issue and plan to improve this system for next year. It also costs 80 euros as an option to extend your room stay on day of departure. Our accommodation was bed & breakfast & the breakfast variety & quality is excellent. Lots of choice & fresh omelettes / crepes can be made on request. It cost 25 euros per person for evening meal & again there was an excellent selection of food s audible. Hotel facilities include tennis, basketball court & gym & spa so plenty to do. The events team offer aqua aerobics session once per day & there is a kids club & mini disco. A choice of pools & absolutely no issues getting sun loungers at any time of day with lots of umbrellas available. The hotel also has facilities on the beach which is directly next to the hotel. During our stay there was a large conference taking place over the weekend so breakfast etc became very busy as the hotel has a conference centre too. I would highly recommend Hotel Olympia as our only issue was the key entry system to rooms. Hotel appears to be the biggest one in Vodice which is a lovely resort with lots of nice restaurants. We had never been to Croatia before so were taken by surprise that no one accepts card only cash so worthwhile to know this before travelling as cash machines in resort charge per transaction. We also seemed to be in Croatia during a heatwave as temperatures were very hot day & night however I would still return to Hotel Olympia as we had a very enjoyable holiday.

Hotel is in a great location… close to beach with lots to do. Kept kids busy all day and night. Pool is big and clean but can get cold. Buffets have good variety of slightly above average food. Drink service at dinner is slow, however. Rooms are on the smaller side with nice balconies. Warning…rooms don’t cool below 78 degrees, even after asking staff to take off the override. Overall a nice beach/pool getaway for the family.

Had a good time at Olympia and Vodice. The location is great and it’s close to the beach walk. The buildings and Pool area a little old but still okay. Friendly and service minded staff. The only thing we can complain about is the room you eat breakfast in. The breakfast is great but the room is way to noisy so the experience eating breakfast isn’t good at all.

It was clean and the mattress was great. Breakfast buffet was standard good, with lousy coffee. The dinner, on the other hand, was disappointing and not worth the extra 50-60e for 2 people per night. On the first night we got our two glasses of wine (which were ordered at the start) during the dessert. I suppose they are lacking staff since there were people coming and had nowhere to sit, the tables weren't set. There is also a lot of noise from cutlery and plates clinking and the tables are just a few inches from each other so you feel like you are in a student cafeteria. The location of the hotel is great, near the beach and city center and that is the best advantage. The pool outside could be cleaned better. Also, we did not appreciate the extra charge for parking which iz 7e outside and 12e per day in the garage. I think it would be better if they included it in the price immediately and there were no additional charges. I guess we expected more from a 4star hotel.

Great food and friendly staff. Clean Room. The pool is clean and the rooms are well equipped with everything you need. I also like the gift shop at the hotel. I enjoyed my Stay at the Hotel and I’m Looking forward to come again.

For a start it has been torrential rain all week. Came with travel dept. Lovely bunch of people. Went on few trips in monsoon rain. My main gripe is the food!! Breakfast is reasonable. But not the standard we are used to. Everything stone cold and inedible.dinner is even worse!!. Come down for dinner at 7 hoping for hot food. Lukewarm soup. Everything stone cold. Cannot cope. Should be piping hot.no microwave. Complaints fall on deaf ears. Hotel just very corporate. One small boring bar.no food what can you do when it's lashing rain. Only for our indomitable irish spirit. Would have been on next flight out.

Rooms at hotel Olympia - I've seen a much better 4stars rooms compared to Olympia. Small bathroom, balcony with old flooring where you bring tiny rocks back in the room. Bed and pillows comfortable. Breakfast average, dinner great. Wellness great. Outdoor pools - not heated so bit cold at a time (end of May), but a big minus - bunch of local kids enter freely and make a lot of noise
