Hotel di Koh Rong, Sihanoukville

The beachfront location made it easy to swim whenever we wanted. The restaurant offered a good variety of food, and every meal we tried was satisfying. The staff always greeted us warmly and helped arrange transportation around the island.

Came here with my wife for a birthday getaway, and we definitely made the right choice. From start to finish, everything was smooth and hassle free. The resort staff even helped us check our ferry booking to make sure everything was in order and waited for our arrival at the ferry jetty. The resort is about 15 minutes from the Koh Rong Hill ferry terminal, although I have to warn you the journey can be quite bumpy! Our room had an amazing view, was spotlessly clean, and had a very comfortable bed. The staff were also incredibly friendly and helpful, especially when it came to arranging and recommending activities. We were provided with free paddle boards and snorkelling gear as well. Unfortunately, the water wasn’t very clear during our visit, so there wasn’t much to see underwater 😂, but that’s obviously beyond the resort’s control. One thing I really loved was the resort’s location. It’s away from the bustling main Long Set Beach area, which made the whole trip feel much more peaceful and relaxing. The WiFi connection was also fantastic! Overall, we had a wonderful and pleasant stay. The resort is well established, and the service, facilities, location, and overall experience made it absolutely worth every cent. I don’t usually write reviews, but this resort genuinely deserves the time. Would definitely recommend!

Really happy with our stay here. The resort has a relaxed vibe and the beach view in the morning was amazing. We stayed in twin room for a nights and slept very well because the bed was comfortable and the area stayed quiet at night. Staff were friendly and helped us arrange what we needed.

Great experience at the Royal Sands Koh Rong, from the moment we arrived at the pier in Sihanoukville everything was perfect. Delicious food, great environment and outstanding service. We were very happy relaxing at the hotel. The room was perfect, also beautiful beach and great pool. Thank you !

Hôtel sympathique et surtout extrêmement bien placé. L’emplacement est vraiment un gros point fort : l’hôtel est directement en bord de mer. Il suffit de sortir de l’hôtel et de traverser la petite rue pour se retrouver sur la plage. L’hôtel dispose d’un espace aménagé directement sur la plage avec des chaises, tables et des parasols, où il est possible de prendre le petit déjeuner. Franchement, c’est vraiment agréable de pouvoir prendre son petit déjeuner face à la mer. Le petit déjeuner est d’ailleurs très bien, et le personnel est vraiment sympathique et serviable. Le responsable de l’hôtel est également très accueillant et disponible. Il y a aussi un petit coffee shop sur place, avec une piscine assez grande. On peut y prendre un café ou manger quelque chose tranquillement. C’est un petit plus vraiment sympa. Les chambres sont correctes et disposent d’un petit balcon. L’hôtel est également assez calme, donc on y dort bien, sans problème de bruit. Au final, un hôtel avec un bon rapport qualité-prix, surtout pour son emplacement en bord de plage, le petit déjeuner et la gentillesse du personnel. J’ai vraiment bien aimé mon séjour.

Perfect stay for both families and Couple, 3 large swimming pools free for access, delicious breakfast, professional hospitality, Great Location nearby public port, and surrounded by local restaurants and store easy to access. Hotel design with many many of coconut trees in the front combined with unique white sand on KohRong become the most beautiful beach that I never forget, Long-set resort always the first choice for me:)

Что понравилось: Отличная удобная кровать и подушки, белоснежное белье и полотенца. Сотрудник отеля заранее связался со мной и помог забронировать билеты на паром и машину с пирса до отеля. Довольно вкусные блюда в ресторане отеля. Завтрак был также очень хорошим при небольшом количестве блюд. На пляже можно брать сапы, бесплатно. Снорклинг с берега тоже не плохой, видели двух каракатиц. Пляж - сказка, но с небольшой оговоркой. Лежаков всегда хватало. Что не понравилось: Пляж в ошметках от полиэтилена от мешков с песком, которые укрепляют береговую зону. В один день мы заказали на закате бутылку Просеко. Официант открыл ее и бросил фольгу прямо на песок, шокировав нас таким пренебрежением к этому прекрасному месту. В другой день утром на за соседний стол на пляже приносили гостям колу, в обед никто не пришел забрать стаканы и банки. На закате все те же банки валялись на песке, стеклянные стаканы видимо все-таки забрали. По номеру тоже полно разочарований: все сделано тяп-ляп, построено на скорую руку, мебель заляпана краской, коврик и шляпа в номере рваные, в огромной душевой ни одного крючка или держателя для полотенца. Шторки тоже нет, унитаз всегда залит водой. Половина выключателей не работает, у кровати выключатели перепутаны местами. Уходишь из номера, забираешь карту - свет над входом тоже выключается, вернуться по темноте и подняться по лесенке целое приключение. Есть холодильник, но он не работает, причем в двух номерах. При входе в домик и при входе в ресторан есть шланги смыть песок с ног, но ни один не работал, муж разобрал и почистил, заработало. Итог: при должном менеджменте и уходе это место может превратиться в рай. Особенности, к которым надо быть готовым: Вечерами на пляже много москитов или мошки, кусают сильно, чешется долго. Репелленты обязательны. В пешей доступности только соседнее кафе, больше ничего. Это может быть как преимуществом так и недостатком для кого-то.

Fantastic accomodation. Best water pressure and internet speeds, I think the best i've had in Cambodia. Staff very helpful! 5min walk to the beach, local restaurant's and store. The free shuttle to the island port area of the island was awesome.

Pros: - the most beautiful beach I've seen in my life. White sand as thin as flour. Transparent water. Fish swimming around, seashells, crabs... - kids love it. There's almost no waves. You can walk 50m into the sea and the water just reaches your waist. Great for little kid. Our 1.5 y.o. kid loved playing in the water. - the restaurant of the hotel serves fusion food. Delicious and not pricey. The neighboring hotel Your and Me has a restaurant that makes more traditional khmer food that is also delicious. - the room is spacious, bright, with an incredible view. Anyway, you will spend the whole day outside. - for 100$ you can take a boat and do fishing, snorkeling, touring the island. - the hotel has free kayaks, paddles. Can improve: - the staff is very laid back. They are very nice but at the restaurant for instance, better go to the bar to order I saw people do that rather than waiting for someone to service you. Everyone seems ok with that. Cons: - the shower is outdoor. So washing outside trying to avoid mosquitoes is not great. One night we had a visitor, a huge spider fell on my wife while she was giving bath to our kid, it was the size of my hand. Not a great experience. But we'll this is nature. Can't fault the hotel. - we staid at a double room the night before. And the only difference was just a few intelligent change in furniture : trash in with a lid, glass door in the restroom so natural light comes in, a bathtub that was not really useful. For these small changes the price difference is huge. Important Note: I learnt unfortunately that the island is infested with sand fleas. All the hotels are facing this issue. A bite is not dangerous but bothersome if you're allergic which was my case. My wife and two kids had no issue. But I was bitten on my back because there was some sand on my bedsheet and the sand fleas had a feast at night. My back itched crazy for one week. The bad thing is it seems hotels have no pharmacy. So be prepared and bring your own topical cream or cortisone cream, and antihistamine just in case. It seems I was the only one in the hotel to have this issue but googling it I found a few bloggers describing having this issue. Note 2: there's a ferry that can bring you directly from Sihanoukville to the hotel's beach, one per day. We took the GTVC to LongSet Beach Pier, then had a taxi, 5$ per person. We did that. It was a smooth ride. The taxi was a great experience
