Very good location, open the door is MRT Chinatown Station, walking 3 mins is Bus stop Station around, check in abit complicated,( at opposite side) but the receptionist was helpful. Clean and have fully stuff need like hot water, fridge, iron....I was pleasure to stay here.

My mixed-dorm room of 6 beds were located on the 4th floor, and I had to walk up with my luggage, as the dorm has no elevator. The room was clean and quiet, bed and quilt was comfy. Bathroom and toilets were enough and clean. The front desk receptionist was friendly and helpful.

Location is convenient, clean and quiet.

Nice staff but the room is so small. Location is good in Chinatown, you can buy souvenirs here.

Their sleeping pillows and blankets were not right

Please keep in mind if you check in at late evening then no people . It means the staff will start work from 10:00 ~ 6pm?. So do not be surprised. And no call possible only wattsup when they are comfortable to check you. Disappointed. What should I do ???

Best and affordable place to stay as solo traveler. Near MRT Station. Near souvenir shops and hawkers.

The hostel was clean and the service was really good he was kind I arrived late night good location for those who are looking to stay in the city

Location is pretty strategic, located on the entrance of Chinatown MRT exit A. They have 2 buildings on the left and right of MRT entrance. But you won't have any trouble at all to look for it since the sign board is clearly seen from the MRT entrance. The reception area is on the left side building (more spacious and feels homey rather than the building I stayed). I stayed in the ladies only room (#4) on the right side building. So, if I need something or ask the staff, I have to go to the other building. The room, bed, linen are clean but they don't provide towel & toiletries. So you have to bring your own. And don't forget to bring padlock for your locker (big enough for 20-inches suitcase). Air conditioners in my room were working well and it's cooler because helped with 2 fans. The toilets are relatively smaller than the other building, but that's okay for me (hot water, tissue are provided). You can use the fridge, hair dryer, water, electric water jug, iron, outdoor patio together with other guests. The staffs are nice, friendly and helpful. Because it's Chinese New Year time, they even offer me home made yu sheng. Pretty nice flavor and experience. Overall, it was great experience staying in royal hostel.

1. Like the other comments, there’s bedbugs!! I started to have rashes all over my skin! 2. The hostel guests were not mindful of others. One told me to not shut the door all the way “because people keep going in and out.” My bed was right next to the door and it was left opened almost all the time. This made it very hot because the AC went out and made me feel unsafe at night. Another guest spoke loudly on her phone in side and right in front of the room. 3. When I told the hostel caretaker, she told me that she will do her best to inform others about shutting the door but she “can’t control them because sometimes [she doesn’t] see them and [are not] around.” The hostel apparently failed to implement basic security regulations.

1. There are bed bugs 2. Toilet is not clean 3. Wanted to change bed from upper to lower deck, requested for lower deck initially but was given upper deck. Then went to request for lower bed but manager said is fully book and cannot change. In the end, nobody else in the room except my friend who stay in the room.

Very close to MRT and easy to find. Clean and comfortable. Easy to get to the airport by MRT about 1 hour on the blue line.Staff very helpful. Would highly recommend for a good budget stay in China Town location

Hostel location is really good, chinese new year incoming which brilliant to stay at.
