Marriott Executive Apartments Brussels, European Quarter

Great!

We used this as a base the Marriott Apartments as a base for a short city break in Brussels. Ideal for our family of 4 (2 boys 16 yo & 4 yo) with 2 double bedrooms & convertible sofa bed. With own kitchen & balcony the self contained accommodation style was perfect set up for us. Perfectly located for public transport links, & exploration of the nearby European quarter on foot, we'd happily book to stay again if returning.

We arrived at 9:30am after a 8 hour trip and we thrilled that they were able to provide us with an early check in with no hassles. The rooms were spacious, clean and very comfortable. The restaurant next door, The Poet had very good breakfast and dinner with excellent service by Kalinka. The stand out employees at the hotel during our stay were Marina Paoli and Leia. They went above and beyond great customer service.

Agree with other reviews, property is dated and not clean. Our phone wasn't working, so having to physically go to reception every time we needed something is not ideal...especially when the cards in the room say "we'd be delighted to help". I reported this to reception twice, nothing has been done. Was told that the engineer would come in the morning. I am waiting...3 mornings later! Also there is no regular cleaning service for the apartment. I asked 3x for our apartment to be cleaned, again, still waiting. The service to the apartment is non existent. I wouldn't recommend this if you are expecting a marriott standard. Very disappointed with the service here. 3 stars given because of the size of the apartment, a good dishwasher and access to laundry- which was needed as we couldn't get fresh towels after daily use amd swimming so I washed them myself, not ideal for a family of 5.

I have been at this apartment hotel more than 5 times the last year for working trips and it is a great place to live in Brussels.

A little old apartment but nice and everything in order. Bathroom good and facilities with gym, swim and sauna is nice for a working week.

Much better than other reviews would lead you to believer. If you are traveling with a large family, this is a good property. It was clean and in good order. The apartment was mostly quiet although the party in the apartment above us made noise well past 2:00 in the morning. Two blocks from Luxembourg station, 20 min walk to Grand Place.

Carpet throughout and it is Dusty! No washing machine, just a smelly DW that barely worked. Biggest problem is, at the Marriot Apts you are treated like a second-class citizen, it is run by the Renaissance Hotel and they come first 100%. Walk outside to get to the hotel. Fire alarm goes off for 30 minutes, no one says a word, cant shut it off at the panel, they don't care, folks walking outside in their PJs and the hotel said nothing. No sharp knife in kitchen, asked 3 xs and just gave up. Parking: what a joke. I paid in full on arrival, 3 times it wouldn't open, making me late for work. Third time, I had to wait 23 Minutes to get out. World class gym is not world class, it is rusty and smelly with old equipment, pool can handle 4 people max. It is not in the same building, that building is owned by Thon apts, which are MUCH better, same money, clean new and with a washing machine in each room. Go with Thon, 1 block away. Marriot should revisit this, it is not worthy of their name.,

Very spacious apartment for family of 4. Very quiet. Had all we needed though decor was a bit dated. Some light switches were in weird places and heating couldn’t be changed. Access to renaissance hotel pool and breakfast buffet were part of reason we booked. Decent pool, but annoying we had to bring towels from the room to use at pool. We had to ask for extra to use back at our room as those we used at the pool got totally soaked. Towels should really be provided in the pool/gym area. Area very near European Parliament, ok area, very quiet at weekends.
