Skopelos Village Hotel

Although the staff were amazing and hotel very clean but that’s where it ends. Our room was very tired. We were in Sea Breeze Room 1. The room was cold and damp. Bathroom was very small. The sunbeds around the pool were very uncomfortable they need cushions. The restaurant wasn’t good. Breakfast left a lot to be desired the cooked breakfast was mostly cold and little choice. The evening menu was awful and never changed. We stayed there 8 years ago, the restaurant then was amazing with a lot of choice on the menu. We mostly eat out but it would have been nice to chill around the hotel. Sadly I won’t be going back.

Where do I begin.We were really looking forward to staying in this " five star" hotel with a sea view which we paid extra for. When we were shown to our room by a young girl who couldn't speak any English ...so we didn't ubderstand the information we were being given. On entering the room to say we were disappointed we were confronted by a dingy room albeit with a nice sea view. I immediately went back and Leon the manager was very patronising and we were told come back tomorrow as we are 'fully booked'.So on returning we were offered a room which he said 'Trying to put us off' in 3 days time.saying it was exactly the same.We decided to stay BIG MISTAKE the air conditioning unit was outside and was horrendous.So much for peace and quiet.How woukd Leon and tge owners of thus hotel feel if they were offered this '5*' room.Not Happy I should sat. Leon shoukd be more interested in his customer service manner as he talked on his phone to someone for 1 hour whilst we were trying to relax. We won't be coming back very soon.

What a fabulous stay we had! The hotel was just perfect for our family holiday. We were wanting to do the full ‘Mamma Mia’ experience and wow did the hotel provide this….. It was just perfect! The staff were so friendly and accommodating, helping us throughout our stay to explore and book local experiences. The hotel held a ‘Mamma Mia’ evening for those wanting to join in. The views from the hotel were breathtaking! The breakfasts were consistently of a high standard and constantly being refilled with fresh foods and drinks. There was a menu for evening dining and poolside snacks/drinks. The hotel was beautifully clean and our accommodation cleaned every day. We will most certainly visit this beautiful gem of a hotel in the future!

Just the perfect week in every way. Great little hotel, food excellent. Massive room and lovely breakfasts. Very clean, safe and friendly.

We have just returned from a wonderful holiday on the beautiful island of Skopelos and are missing our holiday very much. This hotel was just what we needed. It has a gorgeous view of the sea and is so peaceful and calm. From the moment we arrived, we all relaxed and embraced this unique charming hotel. We had a 2 bedroom apartment style room on the upper level with a pool view. The rooms were very comfortable and the air conditioning units were superb. We slept so well. The towels were changed daily and the maid (Elsa ) was lovely. Tzela and Leo on reception were both extremely welcoming and were so helpful with their tips and information. We felt very looked after. It has a very nice family feel to the place. We booked some trips from the reception . We did the mamma Mia trip and would definitely recommend the sunset kayak trip too! Just fantastic ! We were with our 13 and 16 year old daughters and they loved it. It's also worth going over to the gorgeous island of Allonosis for the day . You won't regret it ! While you are there, dine at Demis for lunch. He is a real character and will entertain you and he cooks amazing food. This hotel is just wonderful and the staff are so friendly and warm. We ate breakfast each morning and really enjoyed the fresh greek yogurt and local honey along with the fresh fruit and various hot items on offer. Meryl Streep and Pierce Brosnan have stayed here too which is so lovely when you arrive and you can see the photographs of them in the hotel. We really enjoyed going out each evening down into the town and eating out at the various restaurants. We enjoyed Muses and a lovely lunch or two at Ammos Restaurant. Its also worth a walk up to the top of the hill / church at the end of the port and dining in the restaurant above up near the Donkey Bar. the views are incredible ! Thank you so much to the wonderful staff at this hotel . We will return to you again as it was brilliant. xxx

Lovely hotel with truly amazing staff. They were all friendly and went out of their way to help guests. Nothing seemed too much trouble for them. The room had recently been renovated and had great AC. The room was really large with so much storage space. The beds were comfortable with nice comfy pillows and clean white bedding. There were clean towels provided each day, toiletries and tea and coffee facilities. There were seating areas at the back and front door of our room. One contained a table and chairs and the other sunbeds and a clothes airer. The pool was a nice calm quiet space to relax in or around and had gentle spa music playing quietly in the background. Clean pool towels were provided each day. The hotel restaurant is lovely with amazing views over the bay. Breakfast was always good with enough variety to suit different tastes. The staff in there were great and service was excellent. We enjoyed the Greek night and the Mama Mia night that the hotel put on. The location is good. There are some lovely restaurant's with tables outside along the edge of the sea front. You pass these on the walk into town which is only a ten minute walk. In the town there are shops and restaurants. Its a lovely atmosphere in the evenings with many locals walking along the front while the children play around. There are modern bars as well as traditional restaurants and coffee and desert places. Some have seats outside so you can sit and watch the world go by or boats coming in and out of the harbour. We did the Mama Mia tour and a trip to Alonissos. Both were good. The only thing that was a bit disappointing was the amount of rubbish on the beach.
