The hotel is very nice. Rooms are OK. Breakfast was nice. There is a wonderful view on the fjord. Also a nice garden and a warmed-up swimming pool. There may be a problem for elder people as there is now elevator. Personel is forthcoming and offer a boat to raw and more.

Historical accommodation and hotel in a great situation. Bed was excellent and the room was very quiet with nice balcony. Decoration and bathroom was a bit old fashioned as well as the whole hotel. Breakfast was basic style. Funny that there's no tv in a room, anyway it's useless in that view. We also expect possibility to make tea or coffee which is still uncommon in Norwegian hotels, unless you pay a lot.

This hotel is in need of an upgrade, I think they know that. So they are focusing on what they can do for the time being to make the guests happy. The room, lobby and the hallway was really clean, same with the pool area and the surrounding of the hotel. Both me and my girlfriend are working in the hotel industry, and we think this was great. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed, but they had some recommendations of other places. The staff was very service minded, and the girl that checked us in was great. Easy to communicate with the hotel as they are doing all the reservations in-house, I really like that. Breakfast, was good, I’m used to a big breakfast, however this breakfast was more like choices your own home breakfast. I don’t mind that as it minimize food waste. Overall a great place with a great location, rooms towards the fjord did we have, and we where super happy about that. Just need some small upgrades and they will be golden

Beutiful location; friendly staff nice rooms. Quaint. We had a beautiful view of the Fjord. Abundant breakfast. Very friendly staff. It is an old hotel and has charm. The rooms are not large but they are well kept and clean

The hotel is quite worn down. Since we had dogs with us we had a room at bottom floor facing the garden, which was great, but the room was in no way meeting the price level. It was really worn down and quite small. Breakfast was meeting our expectations, we don’t mind being positively surprised though - didn’t happen here. Personnel from reception, management to breakfast waitresses weren’t smiling ONCE. Exception was a night manager. If you travel with dogs you know that you have to accept limited access to all areas, that’s fine, but if you allow pets in certain rooms one is expecting to be able to bring them to, for instance, the lobby area. Cannot recommend this hotel.

This hotel is charming. I had read reviews that were not very good, so did not have high expectations. The hotel surpassed them all and we enjoyed our stay. First, the hotel is very clean. Our room was spotless and the bathroom immaculate (it also appeared to have been recently redone with new white tile and modern fixtures). The room was small but had a great balcony and fjord view. The downstairs is very comfortable and well appointed. It has multiple sitting areas, each with a slightly different feel, and all are very enjoyable spaces to relax and watch the day go by. You can see the fjord from all. The outdoor space in the back is also nice and on a warmer day we would have enjoyed sitting outside in a chair. They have both rowboats that can be used to explore the fjord and bikes that can be used for exploring the town. The pool was clean. The hotel is an old building, but it does appear to have been updated inside (downstairs at least) within the past few years. We took the 7 am ferry so missed breakfast, but we were able to get a cup of coffee at 6 a.m. from the woman at the front desk, which was much appreciated. We had stayed at one of the larger hotels in town at the beginning of our trip, and of the two I much preferred the Hofslund. It is both a nice hotel and has a very authentic vibe. I would stay here again.

We took a room with a small balcony and a view over the fjord. Very nice staff, no so many spaces in the parking lot but the staff will find you a spot for sure. There is a small swimming pool and at 8 am it's not very crowded and you can have a nice swim, then you can take a jump in the fjord. Breakfast is good, not wonderful but good.

Très agréable hôtel. Situation idéale au bord du fjord. Ponton privé. Piscine bien chauffée. Parties communes très belles et refaites. Chambre petite mais nickel repeinte, salle de bain « vintage » très propre mais à moderniser. Très bonne literie. Accueil parfait. Dîner très satisfaisant (desserts trop british à mon goût) et bon petit déjeuner. Je recommande.
