It was a wonderful stay at Sarovar Portico Somnath. Our check in at #209 late midnight was effortless. The room was well appointed and very spacious. The AC,Toilet and the basic amenities were upto mark. I just missed somehow the shaving kit and the slippers. The whole ***agement,staff were very helpful and friendly. The food was very hygienic and prepared upto our expectations. The waiting lounge, restaurant, children play area,lawn, parking are very adequately designed and are quite spacious. The Spa Services need improvement. Overall my personal experience is 5 ⭐. I will prefer to stay here again during my next visit to Somnath.. Travellers like me can book their stay here without any hesitation. It should be a great experience. Happy Travelling , Happy Stays

All over our stay was very comfortable and very good ……we really enjoyed our stay and we recommend this hotel also …… and all staffs are really helpful with kind and good behaviour…..specially thanks to Ms kajal for welcoming and handle everything very smoothly….☺️☺️☺️🥰

Rooms were spotless and the facilities were well maintained. Bathrooms are big and clean too. All the facilities like fridge and soft pillows are available. Itried food so ***y places in Somnath but the taste was awesome in hotel. I was very pleased with my trip. I hope to be back for a longer visit in the future. Date of stay: April 2024

Good experience. We checked in and got the upgrade of the room so happily started the stay. Bathroom in this upgraded room was so big that it would have been a bedroom in other places. Somnath temple is also nearby so we had a great darshan of Lord Shiva Jyotirlinga. We also visited the old temple which is nearby. Had a great breakfast in the hotel restaurant next morning. Overall nice stay

We travel to Somnath at least one every year, and this time, we thought to try out a stay at Sarovar Portico, Somnath. To our delight, we found an excellent hotel! Everything from check in to the rooms and the overall dining was a 10. We had our own transport, so we did not need the hotel's services to get to the ***dir, but the Temple view from our room proved to be a bonus. Talking of rooms, they have been configured to a really good standard, excellently maintained to a high level of cleanliness and are well equipped with the essentials. We especially enjoyed all our meals in the dining room - lunch, dinner, and breakfast. Each offered a great selection of fresh, tasty, well-prepared fare, served with warmth. Really recommend this hotel.

The hotel has beautiful rooms which are spacious and comfortable. The problem with the hotel is that it is short-staffed. All housekeeping and in room dining services are extremely slow. The same is felt in the restaurant as well. The existing staff is courteous, but there is a lot of scope for improvement.

Somnath is on the religious pilgrimage trail. It is a small town but this hotel can easily hold its own when compared with similar hotels in bigger towns. The hotel is about 1 km from the Somnath Temple. Its architecture is pleasingly modern. Our room was far larger compared with similar European or even American hotels of similar categories. Extensive use of beech colored wooden trim gave it an upscale feel. Our check in was smooth. The ***ager, Mr. Rayees Khan, was at the reception, supervising the check-ins to insure that guests had a smooth check-in experience. Mr. Khan is a very personable and his demeanor was both friendly & professional at the same time. His attention to detail was impressive and he took care of issues promptly. Breakfast was included in the price of the room & apart from that we had two meals at their restaurant. The breakfast included both South Indian as well as North Indian cuisines. There was nod to the European taste buds by including delicious cucumber sandwiches. The restaurant being a “pure vegetarian” restaurant, they don’t serve egg preparations. At dinner I saw them make custom pizzas for customers. In the restaurant we have to give a shout out to our waitress Aparna. She seemed to be the only one working hard & she worked with a smile. She too was extremely professional, despite it being so busy at breakfast time. Their ***ager Dheerendra was always on hand to make sure the customers were served well. I also have to give a shout out to Junaid the maintenance ***ager & Azeem the bellboy. Both were not only courteous but also took care of issues promptly. Should I return to Somnath, I would have no hesitation in staying at this hotel again.

I was travelling with family from Dwarka to Somnath for the holy trip that’s when I looked up for the best hotels for overnight stay at Somnath and came across Sarovar Portico. I made the booking by directly calling at reception but was asked to pay advance to confirm the reservation. I avoid paying advance to any hotel to avoid fraudulent as I have suffered from it in past. I was told I can directly come in but the reservation will be subject to availability at the time of check in. I frankly did not appreciate this behaviour from a reputed chain of hotels like Sarovar. There’s always an option to get the card details from the guest over email and block the same instead of sending a QR code over WhatsApp for advance payment which seems a little below the standard of a 4/5 star hotel chain. At the reception I met Deepshika who was very kind to not only confirm my reservation but also upgrade my category of stay at no extra charges. Though she’s just a trainee, passed out from a reputed institute, she carries a natural sense of hospitality towards the guest making them comfortable and attended to. Five start rating to Sarovar Portico is just because of her sensitivity and matured dealing. She’ll be making a great career ahead :))
