Hotel 3 Bintang di Sorrento

The Rivoli is a small, comfortable, well-run hotel on a quiet Sorrento side street -- but it is also an easy 5-minute walk to Piazza Tasso and Coso Italia. We stayed in an attic suite which, despite some odd angles, provided plenty of space for two and a large, comfortable terrace with a great view of the local neighborhood. Perhaps most important here, hotel manager Fabio and his team of breakfast managers Rosie and Alex and front desk staff Simona and Carmela are good people who do a great job, are helpful to guests and create a real ”family feel” to the place. We have stayed twice and would stay again if good fortune brings us back to Sorrento.

We were disappointed. The hotel's location is good, but on a pedestrian street so you have to walk with luggage to get there since you cannot be dropped off in front. Not a bad walk unless you have a lot of luggage or must leave in the midst of a torrential rainstorm as we did. There is a lovely terrace where breakfast is served and where you can sit in the evenings. The bathroom grew moldy during our stay and housekeeping did not address it. You had to keep the bathroom door open and fan on to keep it from getting worse, yet the smell was unpleasant and the fan was noisy. The staff (owners?) were not particularly friendly and were downright rude on one or two occasions. We had a bottle of champagne left in our room with glasses from our travel agent. The evening we drank the champagne, we were yelled at when we placed the used glasses on the bar for not asking permission to use the glasses. We tried to explain that they were the glasses left in our room, but it didn't seem to make a difference. We visited at the end of a very busy season and I am sure they were tired of tourists, but yelling at guests is not appropriate.

The location and the view are excellent. We were pleased to be able to use the outdoor swimming pool even in April. The highlight was the made-to-order breakfast prepared on the spot by the chef, and all the staff were extremely friendly. Special thanks for always welcoming our son so warmly, giving our family unforgettable memories. We are immensely grateful to them :)

I stayed in Hotel Il Faro for 5 nights mid August and it was the best experience. DO NOT pay attention to any of the negative reviews here. I have stayed in many hotels across Italy and this was one of the best. Location was fantastic - so near port and the elevator to get u up to the main streets. U pay a small charge to avoid having to use the really steep climb up what looks like a thousand steps 😩. The hotel is gorgeous, staff on check in were so helpful and friendly and even helped me to book a waterpark for my two boys and were great to advise on other activities. There is an elderly lady who sits in the lobby during the day and early evening and she was always lovely to me and my boys and greeted us in Italian every morning and evening and my two boys loved that. Our room was fantastic. The reception staff were fantastic and provided us with a good big fridge for our drinks and the trim was spotless and cleaned very well each day. We all got a fantastic nights sleep each night. Beds and pillows were so comfortable. Our bathroom was huge and very modern. We absolutely loved our room and balcony. It was a marine themed room and honestly was large and way better than we could have ever expected. The air conditioning and in room multi channel TV with multiple English speaking channels was a big hit for the boys after each sun soaked day. The swimming pool and the bar ( Skyline) were fantastic also and the staff were super with my boys when they were in the pool. Drinks and snacks were very reasonable. A free breakfast was provided each day and it was plenty with good variety. The restaurant that’s connected to the hotel offered very reasonably priced food and it was here that we got the best meals all week. Their pizza was delicious !!!!!! They were so good in making dishes to suit the boys and changed them around to suit them also. There is not one negative thing I could say about the hotel. I was nervous about going to Sorrento with two small boys in the August heat but the staff at this hotel and the fabulous room they provided made it such a fantastic holiday. I absolutely loved my stay here and I most definitely plan to return - hopefully next year. THANK YOU to EVERYONE at Hotel Il Faro. U deserve 5 stars !!!!!! Niamh Keady.

Good, clean hotel in excellent location 10 min walk from station and sorennto town. Ferry port also walkable. We had a very quiet room on 2nd floor. Friendly staff. Breakfast was good and sufficient ( I didn't have the hot food) but enjoyed what I chose. Have to book a time slot for breakfast but easily changed when needed to get out early for trips.Didnt book evening meal or use bar so unable to comment on . Roof area good for sunbathing and relaxing. Great , convenient hotel for using as a base when in Sorennto.

看着網上評論推薦的挑了這家酒店但原來酒店距離索倫托火車站的距離差不多20分鐘的步程，拖着大篋其實也不太方便！ 雖然距離大街沒有很遠，也算很熱鬧，但是他的位置已經算是街尾，要是在火車站那邊走回去酒店其實也很遠。反而距離沙灘則比較近，看日落不錯。 酒店其實是沒有泳池的，是旁邊的泳池訓練學校才有泳池，所以住客是不能享用泳池的，除非是付費。但整體來說，酒店也很乾淨，房間也很大，浴室也很大。只是有點殘舊，而且雪櫃是壞掉的！ 早餐選擇很少，不要有期望。不過酒店接待員態度也很親切，向我們推介了一日遊，當我們得知去波西塔納的巴士被停了之後！而且我們中國人吃不慣外國餐，我們想拿點熱水給我們泡麵，他們也很滿意！這是10分難得的，而且它的房價真的不算貴，這也是我仍然推薦這家酒店的原因！

Genera otra expectativa menor. Pero por ser un 3* realmente nos sorprendio. Lo más destacable, la limpieza. Impecables. Después el hotel está hecho todo a nuevo. Cómodo, camas amplias, el personal atento y siempre disponible. El desayuno completo y acorde a un 3*. La ubicación es muy buena, pleno centro, cerca de todo.

The apartment on the top floor is a great choice for families. A bit pricey but worth it. Close to everything, including the train station which is the transportation hub. The staff is amazingly helpful and friendly. We appreciated the proximity to great restaurants and shopping. The piazza di San Antonnino is especially beautiful. A nice place to relax with a cup of coffee or for a meal at a nearby restaurant.
