Staying for a couple of nights at this wonderful guesthouse high up in the Taygetes mountains was a highlight of our holiday. The panoramic views from the bedrooms and the breakfast/dining room are spectacular. Marie and Georges welcomed us as if we were part of their family and couldn't have done any more to make our stay with them a truly memorable experience. Marie is an excellent chef and prepared delicious traditional Greek dishes for us for dinner. The breakfast was excellent too with fresh fruit, yoghurt and home-made pastries/bread. Georges has an encyclopaedic knowledge of the mountain paths and many of their guests come especially for the hiking trails. Mystras is about 30 minutes drive away - there are certainly a lot of hairpin bends but the road is mainly wide and isn't difficult.

Une belle maison traditionnelle, en altitude, avec de belles randonnées à proximité. Les vrais joyaux sont le gentil couple qui la gère, à qui je donnerais 15/10. Impossible de leur rendre justice en quelques lignes, mais si vous y êtes allés, vous savez ! Nourriture exceptionnelle, accueil exceptionnel, service exceptionnel, attention exceptionnelle aux détails, au-delà de tout ce qu'un hôtel 5* pourrait offrir, parce que cela vient du cœur. Quelle expérience ! Ils nous manquent déjà ...

Ci sono posti fuori dal comune. Come questa guesthouse sul Taigeto in un luogo meraviglioso e fermo nel tempo. Straordinaria la bellezza della casa di legno dei primi del Novecento. Colazioni ricche e di altissimo livello. Patio con pergolato d'uva e alberi di fichi tutt'intorno. Vista mozzafiato dalle stanze. Ma sono soprattutto Maria e Georgos che gestiscono questo luogo fiabesco a meritare una recensione. Per la loro gentilezza, l'affetto, l'originalità e la creatività e la straordinaria capacità di accogliere. Cena ottima. Tutto perfetto. Uno di quei luoghi in cui andare assolutamente sia che si voglia fare il turista sia che si voglia fare il viaggiatore. In entrambi i casi, da questo luogo si impara molto e ci si cura corpo e spirito.

Nous avions passé une moment paisible chez Maria et George. Nous avons été chaleureusement accueilli. Maria parle très bien français. Ils ont pu nous parler de la Grèce. Après un petit tour dans le village pour se dégourdir les jambes et profiter des sources, nous nous sommes installés sur la terrasse à l’ombre. Nous avons mangé des plats préparés spécialement pour nous et nos enfants. C’était délicieux. Georges a pu nous montrer ses talents de musicien et nous faire découvrir sa musique. Le petit déjeuner était exquis. Merci encore pour votre accueil dans cette jolie bâtisse.

Πείτε με ρομαντικό, αλλά μιλάμε για έναν εξαιρετικό συνδυασμό φιλοξενίας, παροχών, θαλπωρής και θέας, και δεν είχε καν χιονίσει. Ομορφιά έξω στη φύση και μέσα στις καρδιές του κ. Γιώργου και της κ. Μαίρης σε ένα αρχοντικό του 1930 προσεγμένο και εναρμονισμένο στις σύγχρονες απαιτήσεις μας!

Op deze fantastische locatie zijn we verwend door de eigenaren van dit jaren dertig herenhuis. Tegen de berg geplakt met uitzicht op de bossen en vallei rondom kregen we heerlijk Grieks eten voorgeschoteld. De kamer had een balkonnetje van waar we genoten van de zonsondergang.

Georges et Marie vous accueillent avec un grand sens de l'hospitalité , on se sent bien dans cette charmante maison d'un village de montagne paisible et propice à de belles randonnées dans une nature préservée ( la flore et la lumière du printemps sur ce massif du Taygetos c'est magnifique ! ). Le dîner est conviviale et la cuisine de Marie excellente , George est musicien et connaît très bien sa montagne , très loin du tourisme de masse ... tout simplement parfait !!

Amateurs de tourisme international indifférencié passez votre chemin! Chez Marie et Georges, on est au cœur de la Grèce et cette guesthouse de 5 chambres se mérite : il faut grimper sur une route escarpée qui domine la plaine de Sparte, puis quelques escaliers pour arriver dans ce lieu marqué par la générosité des hôtes. Marie vient de prendre sa retraite de professeur de français, elle cuisine bien, une nourriture typique de sa région. Le repas du soir est à 25€, mais cela les vaut vraiment; nous en sommes sortis un peu trop bien nourris..mais ravis. Georges, fin connaisseur des sentiers de la région (il est guide) est aussi un passionné de musique populaire grecque; nous avons ainsi terminé notre repas en musique. Les chambres sont très bien, on n'est pas dans un 5☆ mais c'est ça que j'aime: une vieille maison, bien entretenue, avec du caractère comme ses propriétaires. Pour visiter Mistra, c'est une bonne base, même s'il faut redescendre dans la vallée. Un séjour qui restera dans ma mémoire, authentique, sincère et généreux.

Αν υπήρχαν 10 αστέρια πραγματικά τους αξίζουν και λίγα είναι! Οι άνθρωποι του ξενώνα είναι οι πιο ευγενικοι ζεστοι και φιλόξενοι που υπάρχουν !!! Δεν θέλεις να φύγεις από το σπίτι σου γιατί πραγματικά νιώθεις σαν είναι στο σπίτι σου !! Υπέροχη τοποθεσία και μονοπάτια να ακολουθήσεις !
