Hotel berhampiran CDH Stephanus, Speyer

Ho soggiornato 2 notti in questa struttura per un viaggio in famiglia dal 7 al 9 agosto. Ci siamo trovati davvero molto bene. Bella accoglienza e camere pulite, moderne e confortevoli. Personalmente ho trovato i letti comodissimi. Posizione eccellente vicino autostrada e avendo la macchina puoi davvero spostarti facilmente ovunque e avere questo hotel come ottimo appoggio. Voto eccellente. In un prossimo viaggio nei dintorni di Hockenheim sicuramente ci torneremo. Un saluto dall’Italia

Fint hotel med god beliggenhed især hvis man skal til Event på Hockenheim-Ring. Værelser virker slidte, badeværelse ikke rengjort på bedste vis da der var sorte hår flere steder. Madrasser var okay, ikke dårlige men heller ikke gode. Der er ingen aircondition på værelser så der var v udendørs temperatur på 23g mega varmt på flere værelser (vi var flere afsted) der var gulvventilator som kun kunne stå ved sengen da der ikke er stikkontakter andre steder. Ikke godt nok anno 2023 til prisen. Elevator virkede sporadisk. Adgangskort blev dagligt slettet, så det var nødvendigt at henvende sig i receptionen, hvor de ansatte ikke var gode til engelsk. Udendørs og receptionen var der højttaler med græshopper lyd, for at få det til at lyde tropisk/sydeuropæisk. Morgenmad buffet var tilgengæld temlig god, stort udvalg af forskellig mad/drikke. Nice hotel with a good location, especially if you are going to the Event at the Hockenheim-Ring. Rooms seem worn, bathroom not cleaned in the best way as there were black hairs in several places. Toilet not of latest date. Mattresses were okay, not bad but not great either. There is no air conditioning in the rooms, so the outside temperature was 23g, very hot in several rooms (there were several of us away), there was a floor fan which could only stand by the bed as there are no sockets elsewhere. Not good enough in 2023 for the price. Elevator worked sporadically. Access cards were deleted daily, so it was necessary to contact the reception, where the staff were not good at English. Outdoors and the reception there was a speaker with grasshopper sound, to make it sound tropical/southern European. The breakfast buffet was relatively good, large selection of different food/drinks.

Clean and modern hotel, great breakfast to start your day and most importantly it's 5 mins walk to Mannheim main train station and 2 mins walk to the tram station to Mannheim shopping district. Front office staff were welcoming and courteous, thanks for making my stay wonderful. Best part of the hotel is the view of the train station and absolutely zero noise from outside, which makes your stay very comfortable.

First off, understand that Ludwigshafen is not a happening place. I was here for business, for which I feel the place would be adequate for a day or two stay, but not the week I was here. I titled this as ”try hard”, as that's what I hear my kids call someone who is tries hard and fails, which I feel fits since the hotel tries really hard to be modern and hip. Moxy is Marriot's new brand aimed at the youth and the copies board games, lockers, random graffiti and whatnot scattered around the lobby would imply they are going that way. Considering most of the time it was filled with old businessmen like me would say they might want to consider having this in a more appropriate location. Moxy Lu is a very spartan hotel. No restaurant to speak of - on Sunday I asked if they had any lunch offerings as nothing is around there and they told me their one and only oven, used to cook breakfast, was broken and wouldn't be working for at least a few hours. There is a very solid Italian restaurant next door but you don't want to eat that every day. There's also right now a Christmas market nearby but the opening timing for it is very variable. It's also next to the Rhine mall but understand that German business hours are earlier than American so it closes early and is closed entirely on Sunday. Rooms are clearly advertised as capsule types and they are very reminiscent of Japanese capsule rooms - a bed, bathroom, a chair, and that's it. A hook on the wall and 4 hangers is all your clothes storage, a 6 inch wide, 2 foot long glass panel sticking out from the wall is your ”desk”, and that's it. No safe, no shelves, no coffee machine, nothing. Definitely not where I wanted to spend a week, but that's not their fault. The hotel is very new and is very clean overall. Also a plus that it is very quiet. I've been in hotels where I could literally hear the person walking around next door. All that said, why 3 stars? Well, as clean as it was, there was a long black hair at eye level in the shower when I first stepped in. As I'm folically challenged, I'm certain it wasn't mine. Secondly, one of the elevators broke multiple times while I was there, once trapping a person in there for 15 minutes while I was in the lobby. He eventually tumbled out, angry, scared, and half-clothed (took off some clothes as he was feeling very hot). Said elevator was not flagged as being out of order for at least an hour after as I was in and out. Eventually it was. It had an out of order sign still on it on my second day despite being in use...assumed this was an error before the guy got caught in front of me. Not good management of an issue, I feel.

Erstmal das Positive: Man wohnt sehr zentral, alles ist zu Fuß erreichbar. Von außen ist es ein wunderschönes Gebäude und die Parkmöglichkeit ist top. Das war es aber auch schon. Die Liste der negativen Eigenschaften ist lang. Die Zimmer sind aus den 80er Jahren und total verwohnt. Ich war unter dem Dach und die Hitze war unerträglich, die Klimaanlage defekt. Mit offenem Fenster konnte man wegen des Lärms nicht schlafen. Von den Flecken und der Ausdünstung des Teppichbodens will ich nicht sprechen. Der Plastikvorhang am Fenster war ausgerissen und auch die Nachtischlampe hing in Fetzen herunter. Das Badezimmer mit schmuddeligem Duschvorhang und Armaturen mit Grünspan war der reinste Horror. Habe zwei Nächte kaum schlafen können. Die Bar war ab 22 Uhr geschlossen weil scheinbar das Personal was anderes vor hatte. Zu mindestens wurde ganz ungeniert mit einem Gast an der Bar geknutscht. Fazit: Nicht empfehlenswert! Hoffentlich findet sich jemand, der das schöne Haus wieder zu neuem Glanz verhilft. Wäre schade wenn es noch mehr herunterkommt.

The hotel pretty far from Bahnhof but if you not hurry or your destination are in the city it's ok. When I arrived, there were many people waiting to check in. Got a room a little late I have to wait 15-20 minutes to get a key card. (Unfortunately the hotel bar was not open at that time. Otherwise I will have a seat to chill and wait.) The room :: I really like the room, everything like in the picture, So stylish, comfy and clean. Just the AC it was not cool at night.

Wir waren schon mehrmals in diesem Hotel. Trotz langer Vorausbuchung bekamen wir ein Zimmer zur Küche hin. Da es sehr heiss war, hörte man das Abluftgebläse bei offenem Fenster sehr laut. Nach Rücksprache in der Rezeption wurden wir von der Dame professionell behandelt. Trotz Vollbelegung wegen einem Konzert bekamen wir ein ruhigeres Zimmer. Das ist Kundenservice und das bei einem Hotel mit 330 Betten!👍 Das Frühstück ist überaus gut und perfekt organisiert. Bravo an das Management.

Close Proximity to Heidelberg Hauptbahnhof (train station, just approximately 8 minutes walk). I am amazed at the complete furniture, even microwaves to cook our breakfast for the following day. More like an apartment than just a hotel. Nice stay

Possibly the cleanest hotel I have ever been in! Wonderful service, great buffet breakfast and the rooms were spacious. Great shower, comfy bed and chromecast available on the tv. Heaps of options for public transport into the city centre being across the road from the bus and tram station. Highly recommend for friend travel and also for families,
