Mak Luxury Rooms

This is a "private apartments" type property in Split. There's no on-site reception, it's more like an AirBNB. Check-in details were sent by SMS the day before with contact phone numbers if required, and the check-in process was easy to follow. The building is old (well, the city's a couple of thousand years old!) and walking into its foyer it's not much to look at, but once through the apartment doors it's a very different story. The apartments have been totally renovated and are very modern. The bed was comfortable, and the shower is huge. The apartments share a kitchen and some outside balcony space. Breakfast is available at a cafe next door, which did a great job. There's several decent restaurants nearby and a small supermarket in walking distance. It's only a few minutes walk to the ferry area and train station. Note that the property is accessed off a cobblestone-style, pedestrian-only street. It's about fifty metres from the nearest road for cars. This can be a plus, though, as there's basically no street noise!

Location was great near beach and ferry’s, restaurants everything is near by the suite was clean beds were fine except pillows were not great place needs better pillows. communication with management was great enjoyed our stay..

Amazing hotel all perfectly decorated, clean, extra sheets, excellent A/C. They lend you towels to go to the sea which is super convenient. Incredible location, walking 10 minutes to the center, restaurant in front the property, market 3 minutes, bakeries 2 minutes

Outstanding place from top to bottom. Perfectly appointed and no detail missed. Gorgeous. Exceeded our expectations. Walking distance and Karlo was a great host.

Chambre confortable, particulièrement la salle de bain, et emplacement assez central. En revanche, je n'ai pas du tout apprécié les services associés à l'établissement et la procédure d'accueil : absence de présence de personnel sur place, donc nombreux mails avant l'arrivée, sur la nécessité d'envoyer la copie des passeports par mail (pourquoi pas) l'obligation de verser une caution de 150 euros en amont (en revanche, première fois pour moi), sans quoi l'on ne peut recevoir les codes d'accès, impossibilité de laisser ses bagages quelque temps après avoir laissé sa chambre le lendemain matin (à 10 heures 30 tout de même), accès assez complexe à l’appartement (marche à suivre en sept étapes, avec des vidéos pour utiliser les interphones, pour donner une idée...), facture de 35 euros si jamais on ne remet pas la clef dans la key box selon la procédure... bref j'ai trouvé cela très désagréable et pas du tout facile et relaxant. Petit déjeuner moyen.
