Goona Palace Houseboats

The location was absolutely stunning, and the staff was fantastic. The manager, Mr. Lateef, was very helpful and ensured we had a comfortable stay. The food was homely and delicious, and he also arranged transport for us at a very reasonable price. I highly recommend Goona Palace Houseboat to anyone visiting Kashmir. We had an amazing time there!

Been here in the 2nd week of March with Family. We had booked rooms. I was little furious earlier of being staying in any houseboat considering the hygiene and smell emerging from waste dump in some part of dal lake. But I went ahead and selected Goona for one day stay Located at Gate 12. I must say we had a lovely time and experience at Goona houseboat. Finest room, service and hospitality at its best. Washrooms were ultra clean and hygiene. They have electric blankets to keep you warm. Mr. Lateef Bhai, the owner of the houseboat will make you feel home with delicious food and on demand service. We had vegetarian food in breakfast and was just amazing in taste. The houseboat has amazing view of dal lake, with outside boardwalk sitting area to enjoy a cup of kahwa. One can simple go ahead with the booking and enjoy stay at Goona.

We went there on December last year, so it was a childhood dream to stay in a houseboat so that was fulfilled finally.. and it was amazing experience. Mr. Goona ji n the staff welcomed us. They r so hospitable and generous. We were given the authentic kahwa, and home cooked foods were made so delicious and lipsmacking. Convey my msg to the chef. Every room had the heater nd bedsheet heater. So it was cozy and comfortable. At the last day we visited the market area and it was a great experience.

Staying at Goona Palace was the best decision I made on my first Kashmir trip. I stayed here with my family for 3 days and it was amazing. It is placed with the best view around. Very clean, hygienic and Safe. Everyone was so loving and courteous. Owner Mr Lateef is an amazing person, it was always fun chatting with him in evenings. He even helped with planning and booking my complete Kashmir trip. I am definitely coming back here in my nest trip.
