Been here in the 2nd week of March with Family. We had booked rooms. I was little furious earlier of being staying in any houseboat considering the hygiene and smell emerging from waste dump in some part of dal lake. But I went ahead and selected Goona for one day stay Located at Gate 12. I must say we had a lovely time and experience at Goona houseboat. Finest room, service and hospitality at its best. Washrooms were ultra clean and hygiene. They have electric blankets to keep you warm. Mr. Lateef Bhai, the owner of the houseboat will make you feel home with delicious food and on de***d service. We had vegetarian food in breakfast and was just amazing in taste. The houseboat has amazing view of dal lake, with outside boardwalk sitting area to enjoy a cup of kahwa. One can simple go ahead with the booking and enjoy stay at Goona.

The location of the house is excellent . The room arrangement is extremely beautiful . The way of service is very good.We enjoyed a lot 🤗.. Thank u for your service... I hope everyone enjoys the houseboat and the view..🌃

We went there on December last year, so it was a childhood dream to stay in a houseboat so that was fulfilled finally.. and it was amazing experience. Mr. Goona ji n the staff welcomed us. They r so hospitable and generous. We were given the authentic kahwa, and home cooked foods were made so delicious and lipsmacking. Convey my msg to the chef. Every room had the heater nd bedsheet heater. So it was cozy and comfortable. At the last day we visited the market area and it was a great experience.

Staying at Goona Palace was the best decision I made on my first Kashmir trip. I stayed here with my family for 3 days and it was amazing. It is placed with the best view around. Very clean, hygienic and Safe. Everyone was so loving and courteous. Owner Mr Lateef is an amazing person, it was always fun chatting with him in evenings. He even helped with planning and booking my complete Kashmir trip. I am definitely coming back here in my nest trip.

We stayed in Goona houseboat for 3 days and experience was extra ordinary. Right from housekeeping/helper boys to owner Mr Latif, everyone is so welcoming and hospitable. There is a short shikara ride that is provided by him to get you from Ghat 12 to his houseboat. Rooms and bathrooms are clean and delicious home cooked food is provided. You can ask for tea, kahwa anytime and sipping it sitting in the boat's front balcony area is a divine experience. I would like to particularly thank Mr Latif for helping me personally - we forgot our watch while checking out. Not only he called us at airport to inform us about this miss but also took pains to arrange to ship it to our address. Thank you Mr Latif and Goona houseboat staff - we will be back! If I have to nitpick about improvements, since it is a wooden houseboat and even the minor sounds travel across the rooms, they could put a big notice for unruly guests who sleep late at night or wake up early in the morning and talk in loud voices disturbing others.
