Beautiful historic hotel situated on the lake in picturesque St Wolfgang. The cuisine was excellent as was the extensive wine list. The Stunning bathing area with its exclusive access to the lake was perfect for afternoon lounging with a drink or two. Gudrun and her team were amazing with special thanks to Munee in the restaurant and Zoltan and Alexandre for their hospitality. My wife loved the frozen yogurt shop also… We look forward to returning soon

I recently organized a weekend getaway trip for a couple of friends of mine. My best friend is getting married, and I was in charge of organizing the bachelor’s trip. Usually, this would entail renting a villa in Ibiza or Marbella for a weekend of partying, which we have done many times before. However, this time we decided to head to the Wolfgangsee to enjoy the beautiful mountains and lakes. We all lead busy lives, with kids, so this time around we wanted to take it easy and be active. After doing some research online, I came across Cortisen. It had everything we were looking for - a stunning waterfront deck with access to the lake, a pool with a spa, a fine wine collection, and much more. From the first moment I spoke with Roland on the phone, I knew we were in for a warm welcome and professional hospitality. During our trip, we explored the spectacular hiking trails, cycled the breathtaking roads on our road bikes, and hung out by the lake - they even had paddle boards, which added to the cool vibe of the place. We were fortunate with the weather, which made our stay even better. For those reading this review and wondering what a bunch of 34-year-olds were doing in a town full of retired couples, well, our stay didn’t go without a tiny hiccup. We did get a little noisy one evening, to be exact, it was only 11 pm (remember, this is Austria where people like to go to bed early). As responsible gentlemen, the next morning we personally apologized to Roland and the guests who were a little bothered. Roland was incredibly understanding and maybe even had a little smile about it. I think deep down, it was refreshing for him to have a group of guys hanging around. I highly recommend Cortiseen to all those who wish to stay in a sophisticated property. Their staff made us feel very welcome. This is the type of place that requires a certain level of respect and class from the guests, and I knew my friends would be respectful of Roland’s credo. Next time I will come with my wife. Alone. Es ist ein ehemaliges Arzthaus, das Stiegenhaus beim betreten sehr muffig und alt. Die Haupteingangstüre lässt sich nicht versperren. Der Türschließer im Türstock ist ausgebrochen. Es könnte jeder ein-und ausspazieren wie er möchte. Im Zimmer abgeschlagene Wände, das Licht im Kühlschrank kaputt. Ein absolutes No-Go. Es wurde nicht kontrolliert. Der Balkon: verrostetes Geländer, abgeschlagene Fliesen, teilweise nicht mehr vorhanden. Geschirrspüler gibt es auch keinen. Ein kleiner wäre sehr fein. Im Badezimmer löst sich die Dichtung von der Duschtasse, Wasser dringt nach außen. Ich habe alles auf Fotos festgehalten. Das allerschlimmste, im Stock darüber, war eine Männer-und Frauenpartie. So an die 6 Leute. Bis halb 4 Uhr früh wurden Tische gerückt und Lärm gemacht. Dafür haben die dann bis mittags geschlafen. So geht das absolut nicht. Das hat das ganze zu einem Horrortrip entwickelt. Nie mehr dieses Haus. Von Romantik sind wir weit weg.
