Cari Hotel 2-Star di Kangding

Solid location, maybe 15 minutes walk from the centre of town but close to the bus stop. Rooms were super clean, bed was on the harder side, but that’s not unusual in China. No western toilets FYI, but very clean toilets for a hostel. Shampoo and soap supplied in the showers. Would stay again.

It was wonderful staying this place. They upgraded our room amd provided a girt hamper and last but noth the least suggested things that were happening in the town too. Such a wonderful person working in the front desk. The best place you can stay in Kangding. Would recommend 100/10 for anyone travelling…

Lovely homestay in the middle of the grasslands. You can easily hike and explore the nearby mountains. The hosts are very kind and helpful, and very enthusiastic about the grasslands. It’s a bit further away from town, but they kindly offered to drive me there, and helped me secure my ride to the next town. Highly recommended!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Our stay in Xinduqiao was absolutely wonderful, thanks to the kindness and hospitality of the hotel owners. As we are very careful about the food we eat, we could not simply eat outside. We bought our own cooking ingredients and asked if we could store them in the hotel’s refrigerator. The owners were very understanding and allowed us to use their fridge throughout our stay. Whenever we needed our food items, we could easily take them out and put them back again. We also asked if we could use their washing machine, and they happily accommodated our request. Having these important facilities available made us feel very comfortable, and because of that, we extended our stay by almost five more days. On our first day, we faced difficulty finding public transportation. We ended up walking nearly 3 km away from the hotel and still could not find any transport to return. After informing the owner, she immediately offered to pick us up. We were deeply touched by her kindness and willingness to drive such a long distance just to help us get back safely. As we wanted to explore the surrounding attractions, we also asked the owner if she could help us find a motorcycle for rent. She managed to arrange one for us. We originally planned to rent it for only one day, but because everything was so convenient and comfortable, we extended the rental to three days. When it was time to return to Chengdu, we needed help arranging transportation. Once again, the owner went above and beyond. She woke up early in the morning and, at 6:00 AM, personally sent us to the main road so we could catch our transport. This hotel is run by a wonderful family. Throughout our stay, they treated us not as strangers, but as part of their family. Their warmth, generosity, and genuine care made us feel completely at home. We truly hope to return again in the future. I promise that I will bring many more travellers and hikers from my country to stay here and experience the same amazing hospitality. 버스 터미널 바로 건너편이라 버스 이동시 매우 편리합니다. 다만 번화가로 이동할려면 5분에서 10분정도 걸으셔야 합니다. 밤에는 오히려 한적하여 조용히 시간을 보내는 것에 도움을 주었습니다. 실내와 내부가 티벳트 분위기로 좋았습니다. 종업원분도 친절하셔서 기분이 좋았어요.

We happen to visit Dartsedo (or commonly know as Kanding) in October, at the time of a big national holiday. So, the town was full of visitors from the mainland. Our original hotel has rejected our booking and this hostel was one of the very few options left. We booked 3 rooms in total. There are lots of good things that could be said about this hostel. The owner and the staff ladies were very nice and super helpful. They had accepted to wash our bag of travel clothes in the facilities free of charge, which was very kind. The rooms were what could be expected from this type of accommodation and for booking last minute. All was much nicely arranged that what we have expected for a hostel and the bedding were very clean .The common areas where also kept clean at all time. The shower area are on the small side, but all had hot water, towels, overall not great as maintenance but clean and functional. Our room was probably the only one that was facing a brick wall not a street, but we were OK with it. Anyone visiting this area from the West, should be ready to use squat toilets, which are common in this part of the world. Our room was probably the only one equipped with it. The bed had some kind of board instead of a mattress, but still was comfortable to sleep. The location was great. Obviously if you are a Westerner, you shouldn't expect a peaceful place , but this hostel is on the main street leading to the ”Love square”, with many nice places to eat and buy what you need. And the walk up to the central town is short and pleasant. The only recommendation we can make is to put some mosquitos repellent, Our room was for some reason had the most and that made it difficult to sleep.. On the downside, but we know it's a common problem for the town- there is no parking for the hostel and in general very difficult to find a parking place in this town. And the hostel is on the 3rd floor, so you should be prepared to take your luggage on the stairs.

Amazing hostel with cozy interior and a really lovely host who made the stay extra enjoyable! The location was ideal for me as the hostel is high enough up the hill that you get an stunning view but still only have to walk around 10 minutes (up/down hill) to get to the centre of the city. The rooms were comfortable and clean and the common area for relaxing is beautifully decorated in traditional ******* style. The host was really helpful and caring (always bringing us tea and snacks) and we had some great conversations with her about life in Kangding. She gave us lots of advice on what to do in the city, helped us out organizing cheap transport back to Chengdu, and even made us a super unique and delicious fusion meal of yak steak with salad. Highly recommend if you’re looking for somewhere with a traditional feel and a great view!

Such a good place in the heart of Tagong! Very clean and the owner is an amazing person! I booked a double room but he offered me a free upgrade to a bigger room. He also helped me book a bus and came all the way with me to the bus station to make sure I board the right bus. I really recommend this place!
