LLui de PaulaExcellent hotel in the borders of the Tagong grasslands. When we arrived, we were a bit worried that it was too far from the town, but the owner gracefully drove us there the next morning.
After sitting down and watching the view for a while, we were completely satisfied for having chosen this place.
The owner is extremely nice, we talked with him a few times. The hotel is on the land behind his family's home, so it's all very cozy. When we had problems calling a taxi from Muya temple, he went there to pick us up himself. He also assisted us on finding a ride back to Kangding.The ******* breakfast was very good, as well.
Even though it is a tent and the toilet is shared, we found it cleaner than almost all hotels in the same price range in China. The beds are also nicely soft.

The hostel is very good maintained. Everything is top quality. The communal erea is like a living room and there a family feelings. In the second floor there is also a table if someone wants to use his laptop or something else. There is also a place to hang the laundry.
Higley recommended.

PPengguna Tanpa NamaPerfect location with Kangding Bus Station just across the street. Ample restaurants and small local convenient stores within walking distance. Appreciate the front desk lady who helped us carry our luggage to the room, explained basic info about the room, made sure the floor works and answered all our logistic inquiries.
Areas to improve are more on the cleanliness, though as we spotted some stains on the bedsheets, it was around the end of the bed so we didn't bother. I got rid of a roach in the toilet. The sealant on the glassdoor at shower area is off so water spills out and wet the floor that is supposed to be a dry area.

PPengguna TetamuThe hotel is located a bit far from the town center, a 20-minute walk from the main square — in hindsight, I would have chosen a more central hotel. The room was a bit small, with the shower and toilet in the same tiny space. During our 2-night stay there was an issue and we had no water, which was pretty awful. The service at the property was excellent — they knew a little English and helped us with great care for everything we needed. They sat with us for over two hours to help find a taxi during the holiday.
For the price we paid it was a fair deal if the water issue didn’t happen.

PPengguna TetamuWe happen to visit Dartsedo (or commonly know as Kanding) in October, at the time of a big national holiday. So, the town was full of visitors from the mainland. Our original hotel has rejected our booking and this hostel was one of the very few options left. We booked 3 rooms in total.
There are lots of good things that could be said about this hostel. The owner and the staff ladies were very nice and super helpful. They had accepted to wash our bag of travel clothes in the facilities free of charge, which was very kind. The rooms were what could be expected from this type of accommodation and for booking last minute. All was much nicely arranged that what we have expected for a hostel and the bedding were very clean .The common areas where also kept clean at all time. The shower area are on the small side, but all had hot water, towels, overall not great as maintenance but clean and functional.
Our room was probably the only one that was facing a brick wall not a street, but we were OK with it. Anyone visiting this area from the West, should be ready to use squat toilets, which are common in this part of the world. Our room was probably the only one equipped with it. The bed had some kind of board instead of a mattress, but still was comfortable to sleep. The location was great. Obviously if you are a Westerner, you shouldn't expect a peaceful place , but this hostel is on the main street leading to the ”Love square”, with many nice places to eat and buy what you need. And the walk up to the central town is short and pleasant.
The only recommendation we can make is to put some mosquitos repellent, Our room was for some reason had the most and that made it difficult to sleep..
On the downside, but we know it's a common problem for the town- there is no parking for the hostel and in general very difficult to find a parking place in this town. And the hostel is on the 3rd floor, so you should be prepared to take your luggage on the stairs.

PPengguna Tetamu位置絕佳，就在情歌廣場對面的樓上，去溜溜城很方便，樓下就是折多河，特別熱鬧，吃飯也很方便！雖然電梯和樓道環境一般，但是房間的內部環境還是不錯的！看得出來老闆有精心打理房間內部，因為房間蠻乾淨的，衞生間也很整潔，還有一個很大的投影，適合看電影和孩子看動畫片！有一個很大的落地窗，白天陽光明媚！推薦這個房間！！

JJake Vaughan 杰克Amazing hostel with cozy interior and a really lovely host who made the stay extra enjoyable! The location was ideal for me as the hostel is high enough up the hill that you get an stunning view but still only have to walk around 10 minutes (up/down hill) to get to the centre of the city. The rooms were comfortable and clean and the common area for relaxing is beautifully decorated in traditional ******* style. The host was really helpful and caring (always bringing us tea and snacks) and we had some great conversations with her about life in Kangding. She gave us lots of advice on what to do in the city, helped us out organizing cheap transport back to Chengdu, and even made us a super unique and delicious fusion meal of yak steak with salad. Highly recommend if you’re looking for somewhere with a traditional feel and a great view!

PPengguna TetamuWe really enjoyed our time at Tuoma Homestay. The rooms were clean, cosy and had a nice local feel. It’s a peaceful place that gives you a real sense of the area.
What made it special was how welcoming and thoughtful the host was. We always felt well looked after and it made travelling here so much easier and more enjoyable.
If you’re looking for a comfortable place with kind people and an authentic atmosphere, Tuoma Homestay is a great choice.
