My wife and I recently escaped to Arendsrus for a quick breakaway, and it was absolutely amazing. If you are looking for a place that feels ”off-the-grid” and immersed in nature without sacrificing luxury, this is it. The setting at the foot of the Outeniqua Mountains is spectacular. The wooden chalets offer a sense of total privacy and a ”wilderness” vibe that immediately makes you forget the hustle of daily life. The attention to detail is top-notch, especially the 800-thread-count Egyptian cotton sheets—it’s clear the hosts care deeply about guest comfort. The absolute highlight of our stay was the a la carte breakfast served directly to our room. It was delicious, beautifully presented, and allowed us to enjoy a slow morning soaking in the views from our balcony in total peace. The hospitality was warm and genuine, and the entire atmosphere is one of tranquility and refined rustic charm. It truly is a hidden gem on the Garden Route. We left feeling completely refreshed and can’t wait to go back!

Such a lovely place to stay, felt so welcome and looked after from the moment I arrived. Will definately come and stay again.

Tolle Lage mit Blick aufs Meer. Schönes und großes Zimmer. Das Bett ist für ＜ 190 cm wahrscheinlich zu kurz. Wir würden wieder hier übernachten.

Мы приехали в 8 вечера, нас встретил хозяин гостевого дома, все показал. В нашем номере на 2 этаже не оказалось полотенец, вообще ни одного. Заметили мы это только в 10 вечера, когда вышли из душа. Я одела прямо на мокрое тело одежду и пошла искать хозяина , чтобы попросить полотенце, но тк в ЮАР вообще мало кто работает после 9 вечера, я никого не нашла. В итоге одолжили одно маленькое полотенце в соседнем номере у друзей. Тк же у нас не было обогревателя, но он нам нужен был только для сушки вещей. В номере подогреваемый матрас, есть кофе машина, чайник, фен. В целом, дом отличный, но немного дороговат для жилья без завтрака.

Wrong information received at the hotel, wrong room received for the price i paid, no breakfast included with my room when i paid for bed and breakfast.

I booked this trip for my mum. It was a two-night stay, although the hotel itself was beautiful. My mum told me that the room had some mould in it, and when she was looking for a phone charger near the bed—which she didn’t find because there were no chargers nearby—she discovered that behind the bed was not clean and covered in dust. She also couldn’t take a bath due to water shortages, and on the first night, her room card did not work. She had to go all the way back to reception, which is very far from her room, to get the card swapped and regain access to her room.
