Very disappointed! I booked 3 nights at this hotel in Stavanger for me and my husband, from the 30th of December to the 2nd of January 2023. We arrived at the hotel pretty late , just after midnight. The hotel's check in was starting from 15.00-00.00 am. Nobody was at this hotel, no reception, no security absolutely nobody. On the door was a sign saying :if you don't have a card to get in , ring at a certain number . So, I phoned that number that was displayed and the phone was turned off. We tried to ring the hotel (number from the website) but the customer service was from 8am to 8pm... We tried so many phone numbers with absolutely no luck. We spent 1 hour in front of the hotel, in rain and cold . It was 1 am. So we decided to ring a different hotel to see whether they have a room available for that night and in the morning we would have come back to this hotel - hoping that there will be someone . We phoned one hotel, they gave us a price and then we decided to ring Radisson blu ( many many many thanks to them ) explained to their receptionist our situation , and he was more than happy to ring this hotel (scandic stavanger city) for us and see whether he can get in touch with someone. He phoned me back saying that this hotel is close for Christmas and New Year, and we should try Scandic Royal Hotel or a different Scandic hotel from town and they might be able to help us with our booking. So, we went to Scandic Royal Hotel, they quickly found our booking and they were actually expecting us there BUT NOBODY let us know about this, we didn't get any email/message or anything about the initial hotel being closed and our reservation being with a different hotel from their chain.... very disappointed about this miscommunication. Apart of this miscommunication, having to stay in rain, cold and a lot of stress about this situation at 1 o'clock in the morning.. everything was nice with Scandic Royal Stavanger.
