Our stay in the Padloper cottage was comfortable .There were a few issues with the housekeeping ie cleaning, plugs and adapters. It was rectified promptly. This cottage is quite close to the road so there was road noise. We had a view of the. Dam and a lot of water birds .The garden was lovely with grass . The restaurant was nice with lovely play areas for the children.

We expected a room with a nice view of a wine farm, but instead it was a bit hidden away. Rooms needed to have more Cutlery for any food brought back from the town.

We really enjoyed our stay. We were only there for one night so we didn't get to experience all that is offered, but the wine was fantastic and the breakfast was delicious. Also, the property is so beautiful. Sitting outside having a coffee was just the best!

This venue is absolutely stunning and the staff is so helpfull. I had my wedding there on the 5th April 2024 and my event manager was Sumare. She was the best and very accommodating to what i wanted.I would recommend this to anyone that is looking for a wedding venue. The food was devine as well. i would rate my experience 10/10.

***********, this time you disappointed us. The images you portrayed for the accommodation we booked and in our booking confirmation were TOTALLY incorrect and NOT the room we were given. I was told by the venue that YOU have not updated your website with the correct images... I blame both yourselves and the accommodation facilities for this false and misleading information. We were given another room, which was just as disappointing but had no further options, so HAD to take it. We chose to upgrade to have a coffee machine in the room, and neither room had this on offer! Unless you call coffee sachets a coffee machine... another false advertising! I will be very interested to see if anyone takes the time to come back to me with an honest reason why you are providing false information. Oh and the view from our room is a car park, lovely! The only positive was the attitude of the staff who really were apologetic, but powerless to make any difference. Sadly, I did not take photos of the original room booked as we walked out of it and went straight to Reception to complain.

I’m not a wine drinker yet this was the place chosen for a get together. The outdoor seating was jam packed and it was very noisy, but that didn’t take away the excellent service given by our waitress and the mouth watering gourmet pizzas. Considering how many meals were coming out, we hardly waited long for our food and drinks. Top marks for the location. It was a perfect autumn setting overlooking the vineyards and the mountains.

This is a gorgeous place , with lovely rooms to stay over. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It is a beautiful surrounding. The food is really excellent. I will came back when I am in that area and recommend Skilpadvlei for a say over. Thanks

Where to start. Not only were they willing to help and adapt to our needs but so friendly and always making jokes and having fun with us. Changed our room so we could have more privacy and always a call away for more ICE or Wood. We will definitely go there again! They lady that manages the bookings needs a special "THANK YOU" from me!!!

The location is convenient to travel in and out of Cape Town and the surrounding areas. It is a Beautiful setting. The staff imanaging the reservations were friendly and professional. I would definitely visit again when traveling to the Winelands
