Bluebird Sunapee

Started off by us asking for a room away from the live music coming from the bar next door. Even mentioning we wanted our kid to be able to nap after our long drive. Unbelievably they gave us the absolute closest room to the music - and also happened to be next to the elevator. Thankfully they moved us. Biggest problem with the room was complete lack of water pressure. Was impossible to shower, the water just dribbled out. I did like the lounge areas - needed because the rooms are so small with no comfortable seats for reading. Also lacking was comfortable beds. Wife and I both felt it was marshmallow soft and felt like we might roll off the edge as it sank. We are normal size fill by the way. I very much liked that they are dog friendly and our golden enjoyed spending the weekend with us. The bar next door was convenient for dinner and drinks. It was unfortunately hard to find any breakfast in the immediate area. Multiple breakfast restaurants are closed on Mondays in the area. Something to think about if you like a fortifying start of your day. And no coffee machine in the room to start the day caffeinated either. Something was going on with the roof so we were unfortunate to have a ladder blocking our door for the entire second day. I don’t think that’s an every day occurrence.

One of the BEST hotels I've ever stayed at! Not sure how this hotel gets rated 2-2.5 stars as its renovation clearly makes it 4 star! Amaaaazing hidden gem from the super-welcoming & accommodating staff, 100% spotless modern room, fantastic walking trail right to Mt Sunapee State Park Beach, great field for outdoor activities, beautiful indoor pool (did not get to use) and more! Cannot scream enough praises for my stay! Soooo impressed & absolutely can't wait to return and recommend to others (although I'd prefer to keep it a secret so rates stay as reasonable as they are!) I typically stay at Marriotts and Hiltons, but now can't wait to explore ALL the Bluebird properties! Haven't been this impressed with a hotel in a VERY long time!!! Wow!

Everything about this hotel was excellent!! Clean ,comfortable room. Comfy beds, nice shower with awesome smelling products. Great hang out spots. Coffee,tea and water available when you want it . It was a perfect couple of days!!!! Will try another Lark property for sure!!!

Our whole group agreed...on top of the very clean, well-laid out rooms, pool, rec room, coffee counter, gift area...the best quality of this hotel are all (we mean EVERY person) were so friendly, helpful, and happy to see us! So close to the lake! Don't miss Salt Hill Shanty (right there) and Sanctuary Dairy Farm Ice Cream! Thanks for a great time!

My main and big problem was...there is a pub in the same parking lot that had live music until at least midnight. I could clearly hear the songs and couldn't sleep thru it. I even caught myself singing along at one point......had I known about this situation, I would have never stayed here. I didn't see anything about it in other reviews until I dug deep last night. I have no idea if its just Saturday nights but it kinda ******. Also, the rooms are very plain which I don't care about but you may. Literally nothing hanging on any of the walls and no phone. Also , no cable tv. They have samsungs and that gives you samsung tv channels but mine wouldn't open any channel. And yes I know how to use it as I have it at home. You can use the apps on the tv if you have your log ins. I tried siging into the wifi for 15 or so minutes and it wouldn't work. Turns out they changed the wifi lig in but didn't change it on the paper that they give you when you check in. The bed was very soft and saggy which some people may like. Not great for my back though. Positives were that they were friendly, it wasn't as expensive as some surrounding places, it had nice public area decor and the room was pretty clean. The hitel in general seemed pretty clean. There is also a fire pit down the back of the place AND even though it was rough having the luve music in the same lot, I could see having a nice pub/food right there as a bonus most days. Oh and they were bice enough to let me check in early....thank you. Middle of the road for me. Not bad, not great

A quick one night stay - wish we could have stayed longer. Hotel was fabulous, staff was exceptional and the vibe was perfect! Everything was spotless - room, bathroom and lobby. Great 24 hour coffee station. We will be back and are lookin for other Bluebird and Lark properties to visit.

Stayed here for ski trip (like most of people who stayed there). in all honesty, had little expectation coming in based on my experience with other "ski motels" but wow the hotel blew me away. Make no mistake- this is not 5 star resort but it really had everything we could ask for a hotel that serves as base for ski resort ( literally the closest lodging) and then also delivered much more. I've been impressed with the quality of moderate budget hotels across US lately and this is another example of that. Pro: proximity to the ski resort amenities (game room on 1st floor, board game on 2nd fl, swimming pool), the souvenir shop actually looked appealing service- staffs were top notch ability to tip housekeeping with QR code- no idea why other hotels haven't caught up with this microwave in room Floor layout- all the rooms were pretty close to the main entrance Con: room floor was a bit dirty like the floor was pretty sticky for a hotel with decent pool, unfortunate that there wasn't good spot in the room to hang your swimsuit.

I absolutely love staying at the Bluebird in Newbury, NH. The staff is PHENOMENAL! I have stayed here at least 2 dozen times, often for multiple nights and it truthfully feels like my second home. Their on a lark loyalty program is also amazing! Highly recommend.

I went to enjoy a day at the mountain for snowboarding and had the pleasure to stay at Bluebird that is only 02 minutes away from the ski resort ! The accommodation was excellent and the staff exceptional! Thanks for having us! We definitely come back!
