Thank you for the opportunity to describe my Inn at the Quay experience. I was booked for a day procedure at Royal Columbian Hospital at 6:00AM on Saturday May 20. Because I was travelling from out of town and had to be driven home (as a requirement of the procedure) I elected to travel by train to Vancouver and then New Westminster on the day before, Friday. On Tuesday May 16 I booked a room at your hotel for the night of the night of Friday May 19 for $389.00 ex-taxes. My plan was to take a cab to the Hospital and then my daughter was then going to drive to town to pick me up and drive me home after the procedure on Saturday. After travelling to New Westminster I had time to kill because I called the Inn at the Quay to see if I could get an early check in but was told that you were very busy and that was not possible. The hospital recommends attending with only your care card for security reasons. For this reason I had my BC Care Card and the credit card I used to book the room in my cellular phone case. During my wanders I lost my phone. Fortunately I had a significant amount of cash so I got a cab immediately and attended at your hotel. I explained my situation to the clerk on the desk and she said that she could not check me in without the credit card I used to book the room. I asked her if you would charge that card with the room price if I had not shown up and she agreed that that was the case. When I asked if she could just charge the card and let me stay she said that the situation was different and was against your policy. I questioned her further and she summoned a person form the back office who agreed that the situation was completely different and actually said “Sorry, we can’t help you.” When I suggested cancelling the credit card transaction and paying in cash that suggestion was also turned down. Reason was lost on these two minions that are trained to be slavishly obedient to your rules and policies. I am sure that if you question these two they will agree that I was polite and courteous throughout our encounter. After several attempts at circumventing their indifference I felt that I should leave before I started to get mad. As a competent, attentive and businesslike hotelier I am sure you are aware of the saturation in your market on any given day. If you harken back to May 19 you will recall that all of the other hotels in New Westminster and as far as Port Coquitlam were completely booked. No matter, I was able to avail myself of a comfortable chair in the admitting lobby of the Royal Columbian Hospital from 4:00PM on Friday until 6:00AM the following morning. Except of course when I had to leave the admitting lobby while the janitors polished the floors. Because the Emergency Room lobby was full I was able to meet some of the interesting local street residents that were outside at 2:30AM. Very inviting hotel, front desk staff are very helpful and polite.

Stayed here before years ago, and that experience wasn't great, but since it been such a long time, I thought I'd give them another try as the reviews looked good in general. Checking in and checking out front desk staff was friendly and attentive and recognized my Diamond tier status right away. The cookies they have at check-in we're pretty tasty. The property while nothing to write home about, was clean and well kept, and felt safe overall. Parking spots were super narrow, so if you have a bigger car space maybe hard to come by on either side. Lobby and common areas and hallways all looked clean and up-to-date didn't notice any issues at all. Room was clean, and well kept. But the room did have two problems, 1. the bed was hard as a rock, and not very comfortable at all to me. I found the sofa bed (hide a bed) to be more comfortable than the king size regular bed 2. The light fixtures had a mixture of soft White, daylight bulbs making the room look off based on the light coloring. Breakfast had a good selection of the normal fare you'd find out a Comfort Inn cereal oatmeal fruit pastries etc. Warm food included eggs and potatoes, but the eggs were obviously powdered eggs and we're basically inedible I took one bite and couldn't stomach anymore, the potatoes were cold and rubbery, but at least they were edible and were actually real potatoes. Maybe they should have whoever prepares the cookies, be in charge of making breakfast, as the cookies were far superior to anything we had for breakfast there. I ended up with a better breakfast from Tim Hortons next door, while quite a bit less healthy, but at least it was actually hot and real food and had palatable coffee. Overall the hotel looks nice, and maybe suitable for some, for me it was only good for one night, but I probably won't return.

Vanessa is one of the best friendliest front desk staff always happy,smiling, shes a very good asset of the company,but don't get me wrong every one of them are very good worker,housekeeping as well,they're all very friendly,anything you ask for you'll get it right away, this is the reason I'm always staying here,whenever i shows up they're all happy as well of my presence,they're an extension of my family,especially Vanessa

i had a horrific experience in this hotel. i was with my gf in our room comfortably on our bed when suddenly the door opened and another guest entered thinking this was her room. the front desk staff had issues her our room! this was so shocking and it left us uneasy the rest of the stay, any sound we think someone is coming in again. the manager called to apologize, he asked how he can compensate and I said I didn’t want to talk about it then because I was still in shock from the experience. the manager or who ever was in charge that night, then offered us dinner to make us feel better, I accepted and when I went to talk to him the next morning about a compensation he said that dinner was compensation enough and when I said that was not acceptable he then offered a discount rate for future stays. I’ve never had such a horrible experience and lack of response there after. i filed a complaint on the corporate feedback email they send you after you stay and selected to be contacted by the hotel management but it’s been over a month and I haven’t heard anything. totally unprofessional and negligent. we are currently waiting for legal advice.

The service up and support from the banquet staff including the day of our event was exceptional. We needed three conference rooms and hotel rooms for an event that was put together on a very tight timeline. The communication between us and the venue was exceptional, all questions were answered in a timely manner. The three event rooms were set up as requested and well supported during the event. Jordan made recommendations that were most accommodating to meet the needs of the guests attending. Jordan was able to secure all the hotel rooms also required on short notice. We worked with Moxies for the meals and special food accommodations for some of the guests. We would certainly recommend the Sandman Signature Langley for holding events.

Hotel ini hebat, sangat disyorkan, perkhidmatan yang baik, sarapan pagi yang hebat, bilik yang besar, tempat letak kereta yang selesa, tetapi ia agak jauh dari Vancouver. Kami tinggal selama tiga malam dan ia bagus.

The property is in great condition and very clean, comfortable rooms and nice amenities. What really made the difference though was the staff as everyone we interacted with from housekeeping to front desk to the breakfast room staff were all incredibly helpful and friendly. Great experience!
