Pleasant stay, staff professional and polite. Friendly team and sincere. When I booked direct with the hotel, I requested on two occasions that we needed a large king ( twins together) as I had mobility issues so after unloading we realised this was not so! The walk in shower and space was great and so after a long and tiring day attending an important family funeral we settled ourselves down and ordered room service which was lovely, hot and delivered efficiently and well presented. We did not have the energy to ask to be moved so made do much to my discomfort! As we were staying for two nights I realised I should have asked to be re allocated after breakfast( which was fabulous, I must add) but did not ,which I now regret. I did notify the desk about the oversight on leaving, and quite righty said I should have asked. So...be clear when booking..I did request again the day before so no excuses! The greyhound is a unique place to stay with plenty of cosy seating areas and the food is super and with good portions. The ageing decor outside does not do it justice...although the busy road outside is off-putting, it can rarely be heard. Private car parking good too. The room was of good clean standard and the bathroom spotless, with a heated towel rail with lovely fluffy warm towels. The air con heater is not ideal (takes ages to warm up even though instructions given!) and noisy so was cold at night! Aside all that it was a good choice and convenient for our needs. We are ex Surrey People and rarely venture this way. A must visit if you do choose a stay here..and that is to zip over the road ( at a a safe point of course!)to look around the Honeywood museum..its free and very good if you are interested in the local history of the area from Victorian era and thereon. There is a a little tea room attached and a seating area overlooking the ponds. Great if the sun shines! It certainly lightened our time. Thank you to all the staff for their welcoming hospitality. Regards. Mr &Mrs B
