It would be my 1st review and 1st booking with Trip.com, and I am pleased it was such a memorable stay at Anya Resort. The resort was so relaxing, and I loved the amenities, especially the swimming pool; it was a heated pool even if you swim at night. Also, all the staff is very accommodating wherever you go if day sees you they don't hesitate to greet you. It was a pleasure that they gave us an exclusive breakfast buffet in Anya Elite Club Lounge even though we are not an Elite member in the club lounge. My fiance and I enjoyed staying at the hotel. Anya Resort is one of the best resorts we've visited so far. We're planning to come back again soon. Before I end this review, thanks again for all the complementaries you've given us. I was staying for two nights in Tagaytay for a bit of a rest and to check out the Alternative Summer Capital of the Philippines as a possible place for retirement: Baguio is the official summer capital, but is a long drive north from Manila. The hotel has a good location on top of a ridge with views of Taal Lake and there is a shopping mall with restaurants on the other side of the road: best access is via pedestrian bridge, as the road is very busy. There are plenty of other restaurants within walking distance on both sides of the road. My room had two double beds (which was different I guess…lol) and an ensuite. The bed was comfortable enough, but there were brackets at the base (presumably for connecting another bed) which were savage ankle traps when returning from a nocturnal trip to the bathroom: I was rolling around in agony and probably exhausted my considerable vocabulary of swear words…hope there was no-one in the room next door! The bathroom was very average and the shower head / bottom spout setup was of a type I’d not encountered before: if you want to use the shower head you have to grab the nozzle of the bottom spout, then pull and twist. It was apparently faulty as after two tries they replaced the entire bottom spout, but it was still very difficult to use. The free WIFI was almost non-existent: I could not get a signal in my room and the only way to get a signal was to either stand in the doorway of my room, or sit at the table in the corridor…and speaking of the corridors, has anyone seen the movie The Shining? The corridors had an eery feeling and other reviews have made similar comments about being reminded of that film…lol The hotel was clean and pleasant enough, but a bit dated and could do with a refurbishment. I was entitled to free breakfasts for which I was grateful…local dishes, so it may not suit some Western tastes. There was a swimming pool, but it was too cold and windy to use. Staff were great!

We booked our overnight stay at the last minute (since our usual go-to places in Tagaytay were fully booked) and we didn’t regret it. Got the family suite for our family of eight (includes three kids below 10 years) and it was good for all of us. The hotel staff, especially Mike, the manager, and Norman were very kind and accommodating. They briefed us well and gave us lots of tips so we didn’t mind it at all that there was limited service after 10pm. Room and interiors of the hotel are very creatively designed - actually inspired us to recycle wine bottles and cardboard into home decor. Location worked for us too - it’s not along the busy main road of Tagaytay but very near the highway. It gave us a semblance of being hidden away which we liked very much. It’s also right behind Aozora, the popular Jap resto in Tagaytay, so that was a big plus (easy access to great food). We’re quite happy with our serendipitous find and we’d gladly return with more friends and family. Thank you to the team of Containers by Eco Hotels!

Nice as expexted

They gave us a nice and clean room as well. One of the best staycation we had, kudos to their delicious breakfast 🍽️☕. All in one resort and hotel plus restaurant and coffee shop. A walking distance to Picnic Grove, convenience store and church. They are so welcoming and polite.

The staffs are warm and welcome, the amenities are perfect for families, the food is also nice we order room service we are shock that the servings are BIG specially the beef bulalo and pancit we are only 2 adult 1 Child and we are not informed how big it is the spaghetti is also nice can request to make it Filipino style, service can be better for adding a ring button or doorbelll to the room so we are more aware that they are doing service to the room, we love the milk and cookies service however due to we are not aware that someone is knocking end up we just saw a letter quite late, and can add a cart or trolley for food inside the room, the breakfast buffet are superb very nice I love the coffee and chocolate eh! The selections are avery Filipino and the buffet are very well! not even a single time run out of food, all in all our experience is good looking forward to visit again with family but will make sure atleast 2-3 days the word is ”biten” Kudos to the Team

Just weird the sink is outside the t&b 😅 All in all it was a great stay! ❤

I stayed with my family at this hotel on September 15, 2024. The ambiance is very nice; you can relax. The food is superb for the barrio fiesta. The facilities are excellent, and the staff is friendly and accommodating. The hotel is recommendable to those looking of staycation in the area. We stayed at the hotel to attend a wedding a few minutes away. Hotel staff were generally friendly and helpful. The welcome is warm, though the individual standing guard at the gate could be a little more friendly. The hotel property is spacious and has a great view of the Taal lake, with the obligatory IG fixture on their lawn. It's obvious that the staff has experience in taking photographs of people and the scenery. Parking is ample, but not shaded. So the sun does beat down on vehicles. Best to keep the windows slightly open to let out the hot cabin air out. The hotel room is well equipped. Clean and functional. Room is well appointed. The pushbutton curtain is a welcome detail. Half finished renovations have marred the view from the balcony, but if doesn't totally ruin the overall experience. Noise suppression is a problem, as you can hear echoes from the lobby quite easily. The card receptacle was either disconnected or not working, as it did not shut off the electronics when the card is removed. TV viewing is juggling with two separate remotes instead of a universal one. No compendium in the room. Bathroom is clean and equipped with amenities. The Bathtub drain mechanism though needs to be attended to. Hot water is not as much as desired, but it does serve its purpose. WIFI in the room and around the hotel are not the greatest, for casual surfing and social media postings it's ok. Breakfast was ok, with the usual fair you find at other hotel properties. Pancakes could be better. The offerings didn't feature much local specialties. It would be good if the coffee is what Batangas was famous for. Sugar substitutes also would be nice. Waitstaff seems to not have a common theme in terms of uniform. At least they were prompt and present went needed, not dragging their feet when working. Unused furniture cluttered the corners of the dining space, making the audio equipment near the open gangway painfully out of place. The pool is beautiful. Not temperature controlled, but placed well enough to be under the sun most of the time. Not much space to go sunbathing. Clean towels are provided. Even though it's not a deep pool to begin with, there is a 'lifeguard' on duty. he could be a little more cheerful and approachable. Bathers though are in full view of the dining guests. So expect to be observed by the people inside in case you have a shapely figure. Safety signs are not that obvious. The Rules and Regulations poster could do with an update. It would be nice if the room had a compilation of literature that would recommend places to go to, places to eat nearby. A local map even. The hotel needs to clean up in terms of polish.

Just checked out from a stay at the One Ta***tay Place Hotel. This place had its contrasts, so it's difficult to give a simple good or bad verdict. Firstly, let's commend the staff. Their service was top-notch – always available, ready to help, and maintaining a positive attitude at all times. We had inquiries and requests that were accommodated promptly and efficiently. They are genuinely an asset to this establishment. On the other side of the spectrum were the amenities and the room. It seems that the hotel could benefit from some much-needed refurbishments. Signs of wear were noticeable in the room furnishings and certain areas in the hotel. They weren’t a deal-breaker, but they did detract from the overall impression. Another plus side of One Ta***tay Place: its location. It's perfectly nestled close to the most scenic vistas Ta***tay offers. Its proximity to major attractions is a bonus and is something that future guests would definitely appreciate. In conclusion, One Ta***tay Place might not be a picture-perfect stay but it offers a decent, service-oriented experience, and uses its location to great advantage. A few upgrades could definitely elevate the guest experience. Would I come back? Yes, though I do hope to see some improvements next time around. For the price, service, and location, it's still a considerably good deal.
