Hotel berhampiran ConfuciusTemple Martyr's Shrine, Taichung

I enjoyed our twin-sharing room with complete, basic, and clean facilities provided. The breakfast buffet was excellent, and beyond my expectation of a simple buffet. It was a good mix of *********, Chinese and Western types of food and beverage. The hotel's location was excellent and convenient, just a short walking distance (less than 10 minutes) to the Taichung train station. The hotel is near basic shops selling local souvenirs, delicacies/products, clothes, footwear, coffee, snacks, etc. The hotel staffs are so friendly, accommodating and service-oriented. My friends and I will stay in this same hotel again, on our next trip to Taichung city. I'll recommend this hotel to my other friends and family members, too.

I booked this hotel as it stated that there are parking lots. When I came to check in, staff only said that there were not available and directed me to the near by parking where I have to pay fee. Staff who are at the counter check in were not so friendly, unlike the staff who are at the breakfast entrance and in front of the elevator area, they were very helpful and friendly. The room was clean and we got the view where we can see the main train station.

Hotel opened ~12mo ago, entire building is new. Whatever growing pains it had, the Le Meridien Taichung has figured most of them out. This brand can be hit/miss depending on city, but the Le Meridien Taichung is a great property. Well-appointed rooms are huge (60 sq m+), even the walk-in shower is huge. Lots of electrical outlets/USB for charging devices. Wi-Fi access points work everywhere in the building. Great views of the Central/East Districts and Main Station, especially at night. Amazing price point for this level of hotel quality. Service is where Le Meridien Taichung shines. Exec Lounge team so helpful, special thanks to Angel, Lisa, Irin, Yang. Concierge helped us with check-in and restaurants (Billy, Wilber, Debbie). And Marriott app chat with Front Desk works great, responded within minutes. Parking in the underground garage (elevators run directly to room floors with your key) with in/out privileges is free for guests. Front Desk will add your license plate number, cameras at gates will read it. Oddly, the Marriott app shows daily fee TWD 2400 which is almost half the daily rate. (Obviously still ironing out some stuff.)

Location is very good, next to Taichung Railway Station. Opposite the hotel there’s a 24 hr eating place. Outside the hotel there’s a stall selling fan tuan (rice ball) every morning, it’s very nice and cheap. Walking distance to Taroko mall, Lalaport mall, Miyahara Dessert Store. The room is small but clean and modern. The bed is comfortable. They have a laundry room for guests, it’s free. Breakfast is simple but good. Since it’s near Taichung Railway Station, so you can take bus anywhere from the station nearby. Taking bus at Taichung can be slightly confusing, but overall still ok.

this hotel has a very nice location. walking distance to the night market and so many restaurants close by. the best beef noodle shop is across the street. we ordered twice there. the hotel has a car park, which is very nice. first time taking an elevator to the car park. the staff are very friendly.

Amazing place. Its small and compact but its near feng chia night market making it ideal to snack away tilill late night. Check in was automated using the terminals available but theres someone at the counter in any case of crop ups. Love the place.

Is nice hotel with good service. Evening there is live music in cafe “ meet “. Really enjoy. Front desk staffs extremely friendly. Good value for price.
