Satin Doll is a tranquil spot on the Indian ocean just a little south of Galle. It is a small boutique hotel with excellent service and even better food. Our room was spacious and stylish with lots of seating options to relax and enjoy the Indian ocean a**osphere. We love the characters around this area and had lots of fun with our TukTuk driver taking us to authentic places including Habaraduwa, Kogalla beach and Kogalla lake.

We stayed 8 nights at the Satin Doll. The location and the entire team is amazing and they took great care of us to make our stay perfectly comfortable. The hotel is very good located and we had silence (no party’s). Galle and other beaches along the coast are easy to reach in case you like beach hopping ir sightseeing. Our Villa was big and the interior shows love to detail. The food is amazing as well and we had a great time. A special thank you to the team Damith, Channa, Dilan and the rest of the Satin Doll Team. You Rock!!!

An absolutely fantastic piece of paradise. We stayed 4 nights and it was perfect in every way. The villa , pool and garden area are all beautiful, the beach is right in front of you with the stick fisherman . The owners made us feel so special nothing was too much trouble. The staff are fabulous and the food was incredible. Spoil yourself here you won't regret it. The best place we stayed at in Sri Lanka.

Wow ! Where do I start what a place , from entering the gate from the road we were welcomed like royalty. The villas are set in a beautiful garden with a pool and lovely furniture to sunbathe , read , relax and dine . The breakfast is the best a la carte I’ve eaten , cooked to order and plenty of it . The staff are amazing and were on hand day and night we felt very safe . They even did my laundry before leaving ! Also an iron and hairdryer were supplied when asked for . Thanks to all at satin doll for making our stay so perfect.

First hotel I've been in Sri Lanka and hands down one of the most lovely ones. The place is small and therefore very exclusive (I think its 4 bedrooms only). As stated by other people the breakfast is indeed delicious, and you can choose western style or Sri Lankan (loved it, try it once at least!). The rooms are very close to the sea and its breathtaking views. It's just so relaxing to sleep hearing the ocean and wake up to squirrels and monkeys around you. The location is great for those looking to explore the south: +-5 min by TukTuk to Unawatuna and around 25 to Welligama/Mirissa (Look out for Saman for a great tuk tuk driver). You are also 9-10 min walking distance to Dalawella beach where you can snorkel with turtles (take the road, not the beach). Also GREAT STAFF!!! They are really VERY FRIENDLY and always willing to help as well as having a nice chat. Everyone there was very kind to us (Vivan, Manjuna - the driver, Damith, and literally everyone working there !!). You have direct access to the beach, however not much space to swim there due to the rocks. But take a walk to Dalawella and you won't be disappointed. The hotel is amazingly positioned by the ocean very close to lively beaches. It is very relaxing, breakfast are delicious with Sri Lankan and international options. Personnel is very helpful. We really enjoyed our 2 nights stay.
