Hotel Villa Carlotta

When you come to a new place without much research done in advance, you need someone to give you practical and useful information. This is the hotel where staff are so friendly and professional. They gave you the best and most practical advice to visit some of the tourist attractions and restaurants. Appreciate their excellent recommendations. Hotel itself is good with great attention in small details. Free minibar, small snacks, fine quality of toilet amenities. It isn’t a big name but a big surprise to us. Love their staff. All make you feel very welcoming and homey. Stunning sea view and very convenient location. I simply park the car outside the hotel and use their valet parking service at 25 Euro a day. What else can I ask for? Would recommend it to anyone who would like to spend a relaxing holiday in Taormina.

I stayed at Villa Carlotta for 4 nights at the end of September, the hotel was fully booked but I got the last Junior suite available. If anyone is coming from Catania , the bus is actually the most affordable way, only 5 euros and conveniently there is a bus stop right outside the hotel, literally! Also the airport bus goes direct, so do that if you want to save 100 euros in cab fare 😊. The moment I arrived for checkout Aji greeted me and checked me in swiftly , took my bags and offered me a nice welcoming drink at their rooftop restaurant. Aji was an amazing staff member, he looked after me and gave me so much useful advice, booked all my restaurants & beach access (highly recommend visiting the Belmond Santandrea beach if you can it is well worth it), and overall one of the nicest person you would come across, can’t say enough good things about him! Also the young lady on the front desk was a delight to speak to, she managed the social media and was such a kind person, always taking time to chat with me and keep me informed, a real pleasure to interact with! Now for the actual room, it was spacious with spectacular views over the sea and it even had two balconies, it got the most beautiful sunrise views I have seen in quite some time (attached in the pics to this review). The room was large with a nice long sofa looking out onto the sea and it had a classic modern feel, with a comfortable well equipped bathroom, and I had a great peaceful sleep there. For me the best part of the hotel was the roof top bar and restaurant , it was stunning, very chic and the views are unparalleled, I don’t think it can get much better. The breakfast was so delicious there every morning and never felt crowded , the mini cannoli’s are to die for! The service staff there were so friendly and warm, smiling always and genuinely happy to help you, you could see they loved working there, which is rare! The property had lovely gardens with beautiful flowers and plants everywhere, and a pool which was refreshing but I didn’t use it much as I was out and about most of the time. The proximity to the main town center is great, just 10 mins walk to the hotel which keeps things quiet, yet very accessible. If you are looking for a top notch boutique hotel experience with impeccable service then I would highly recommend staying here, can’t wait to come back!

The service was fantastic. Each staff member was friendly and professional. The views from our room, the pool area and restaurant are amazing. The breakfast has more selection than any hotel buffet we have experienced and the food quality quite good. We enjoyed that it is situated in a more quiet area. We would highly recommend!

Villa Carlotta is a gem! The rooms are magnificent overlooking the sea. It’s far enough away from the beaten path that you’re not inundated with tourists out your window, but close enough to walk to anything. The staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful. The restaurant has amazing food and staff. The only reason it must only have four stars is because they don’t have a gift shop, which is unnecessary in Taormina.

We stayed at the Teatro Greco Historic House and it was simply amazing. The house was super spacious with 4 bedrooms, multiple dining and seating areas, and comfortable outdoor spaces. Also, the location was perfect (in the center of the city) and in such a charming area. We were able to walk everywhere within minutes. Additionally, the staff were super helpful and responsive. With their help, the entire trip was seamless.

I had the pleasure of staying at the Hotel Villa Carlotta at the end of March and was absolutely delighted with my experience. The room I stayed in was simply perfect. A warm and cosy environment, furnished with fine materials. I particularly appreciated the marble-clad bathroom. The view from the window was breathtaking, giving me a panoramic shot that I loved every morning. The hotel staff deserve special praise. From check-in to departure, they were courteous, professional and always helpful. All this inevitably made the stay as familiar as possible. A special mention to the young Liviana and the breakfast staff Alberto and Grazia. Particularly appreciated was the breakfast buffet with a wide range of sweet and savoury items to suit all kinds of eating styles.

Exceptional! Stayed with my sister in the garden suite. Private patio overlooking the garden/ pool. Bathroom is incredible- fabulous shower. Great views from the rooftop restaurant and lounge bar. Lovely breakfast. Service 5* all round. Great location, short walk into town and well positioned close to the look out to hike down to the beach.

Stayed 3 nights in suites with sea views. Excellent service, breakfasts and restaurant. It is a luxury place to stay and comes with attractive garden and pool area, lovely stone arches in the rooms, and every comfort/amenity you could require. We loved the views of the morning sunrise over the sea and the short walk to the town in Taormina. Special thanks to reception staff Giovanni, Ornella and Francesco; and Luigi in the rooftop restaurant - although every single member of staff was excellent. Thank you.
