Nice hotel and good location

Respectful staffs, very clean rooms, food is quickly served under 10 mins fully covered with wrap. Accomodated or honoured our Senior Cards and the presence of Security made us feel safe for our service vehicle. Thumbs up for you Hotel Sogo Tarlac!!!! Mr Ed Manebog Sydney

The place is clean and the room is comfortable to stay in. Met the owner (and family) who are all super friendly and accommodating (even provided us with cooking facility to reheat lechon for new year's eve). The other staff helped us with laundry which was not within their roles. The location being outside of the main city was still easily accessible yet, quiet from the hustle and bustle of the main roads. The 2nd floor balcony enabled good view of the fireworks during the New Year's Eve. Enjoyed the use of the pool to cool down after the day's walking around. Well recommended.

ARRIVAL: From the moment I entered the fragrant reception hall, it was evident that this Microtel by Wyndham Tarlac is truly special. The beautifully landscaped garden fronting the facade and the warm welcome from the staff (Security Personnel to the Front Office Agents) set the stage for a curated experience. The entire team's attention to detail was remarkable and made me feel truly valued, all throughout my stay. Mind you, they have spacious parking too. BESPOKE STAYCATION: It is unforgettable how Sir Rob, the Front Office Supervisor, made personalized approach and really expressed eagerness to assist me with any inquiries or special requests was truly commendable. Ms. Nicole too went above and beyond duty and heeded my requests and inquiries in a timely manner. It is a business hotel but she certainly created an atmosphere of staycation for me. The comfort of the bed was certainly beyond compare. The heavenly queen sized bed provided the most restful night's sleep, and the quality of linens and pillows made it difficult to leave in the morning. I woke up refreshed and the sun is high up in the sky already - a clear sign of quality rest and sleep. JAPANESE CUISINE: I love Japanese cuisine the restaurant right beside the hotel building served my favorite dishes - the rice rolls and sashimi. It was a culinary journey that I did not actually expected but I loved all the way. I left with full tummy and a happy heart. You are my new Japanese Restaurant go to in Tarlac - IZAKAYA COWAN! It is hard to bade goodbye to the Microtel by Wyndham Tarlac team after staying with them for almost 24 hours. They made me felt like I am part of their family. It felt warm and welcoming. I wish to be back above all else!

On arrival a gate-house guard let us in without instructions. After a few minutes of confusion we found the reception. We could see that it is just as it looks the photos; a beautiful quality built and very well maintained sparkling clean boutique hotel. We went to their 'Sunset Grill’ restaurant and seated by lovely staff, a little to eager to take our food order. The room was cool and music was calm and ambient. Exhale, after a long drive - perfect … Suddenly things erupted as the gentle music switched to blaring, loud ”Happy Birthday too you” .. the staff waiting our order burst into loud clapping hands. Repeat and repeat the song in different versions, and the clapping! I went out to the garden but it was also playing outside! I was out on the grass oval before I was far enough away from it, my wife and kids following. It eventually subsided so we returned and tried to and relax, but the birthday group was now shouting. A few pesky flies arrived and persisted, and more shouting so we set up outside. I ordered a NZ white wine at 1,900p, and it wasn't pre-chilled..!? We tried to relax and chill the wine, but many more flies, so we go back inside, but flies are inside too. The food came out and it was good, but stone cold mash potato - I dislike being served cold food, and I cant stand flies on us. We went back for dinner after 9pm. I ordered the steak and explained to the new staff shift that my lunch had been cold and to make sure the dinner was hot, especially the potato. It came out stone cold, again! .. with the worse steak I'd ever seen. Right at that moment about 9:40pm as the food arrived they started switching out the lights! We got up and left, forfeiting the food they already had us sign for. The next day while enjoying the beautiful hotel I notice the pool-bar by was not staffed, I found a staff and ordered 2 Budweiser but they only have 1 in stock. The coffee shop was not staffed either, nor the pizza bar. I walked to the restaurant and ordered pizza at the pool, but I am told I’m not allowed to eat it anywhere but in the resto, or in our room!?! The breakfast was awful - nicely cooked but bad choices of products; we forfeit our second day. Then the last day lunch was finally everything terrific! Lastly on the F&B, there was no water source for guests. So the reception kindly refilled our bottles with a source in the back office. The room is very nice and a good size, good AC and has views, but the bed was very hard foam with thin cheap sheets that are too small. Roll over, re-tuck the sheet, repeat, roll, re-tuck. No gowns nor toiletries either. I cannot understand why such a beautiful facility can have so many silly flaws. It is so close to being everything we look for - Boutique, Kid friendly, clean, play ground, games room and great staff with good swimming pools. Last minute booking on a return trip from Subic. The rooms are as advertised, clean, quiet and big. Wifi speed is excellent. Our rate did not include breakfast but there is a coffee shop outside and a convenience store for snacks.

We celebrated my son's birthday here and stayed for 3 days and 2 nigths, it was the best decision ever because the hotel made my family really special during our stay. Each and every staff of the was very accomodating and polite, they gave lots of treats and even decorated our room with balloons and birthday banner. My son was very happy for all the birthday songs and cakes that he received. At the end of the day he told us this is his birthday ever. Thank you swissotel for making our stay memorable.
