My stay there was nothing short of a disaster. First of all the place is not safe. Doors are open 24 hours, reception is present in certain hours, at night no one is there. Anyone from the street can walk in and easily access even the luggage room. Passwords to the dorm doors do not change, once you know it you can easily come in and occupy any free bed, as happened in my case. My bed was occupied by a person not authorized. She just removed down the curtain (as there passwords too) and took the bed (photo). And this I believe is a common practice. I had to sleep on upper bed because the staff did not want to change the sheets, promising me that I could use the bottom bed the next day. When I came back the next day I saw the same mess as before. No one even thought of making the bed for me. So I had to sleep all nights on upper one. The staff don't care about the guests, not even sorry from their side. There is no proper common area, no kitchen or even basic access to tap drinking water. Although there is hot water from pot. There is only one (!) shower working 24 hours for the whole building. Shared bathrooms inside dorms open without even any partitions, so no privacy. Hostel is close to JR station. But about a 15 minute walk to the subway station. Place is totally overpriced for what they offer. Wouldn’t stay again!

For us it was a very good experience, it’s very near a subway station so we didn’t have to walk much! The room was clean, the only problem was that because the subway station is near your can hear everything and also we didn’t like that the laundry room was on the rooftop and due to bad weather we couldn’t use it.

Right beside Mikawashima Train Station (JJ03), convenience stores, supermarkets, bakeries and restaurants around. The showers are like those you find in onsens which is open from 4pm to 10pm if not there is only 1 24 hour private shower room. They have hot water and microwave, no kitchen. For the price paid it’s really value for solo travellers. Enjoyed my stay and will be back if I’m in Tokyo

Ignore the negative reviews, there are a few reviews saying this place isn’t safe and other negatives, honestly, this hostel is great. It’s cleaner every day, beds are decent, location is good with a train station close by and the staff are nice. Really good hostel for the price, recomended!!

Arrived after staff left but was sent an email with bed information and how to unlock curtain. Very convenient, quiet and perfect for introverts.

I had a pleasant two-night stay at TOKYOENJOYINN-Higashinippori. The location is excellent—just a quick 2-minute walk from Mikawashima Station, which made getting around very convenient. The hotel was comfortable and had a nice ambiance. One thing to note is that guests need to bring their own toothbrushes, towels, and other toiletries. Also, outside shoes aren’t allowed inside, so be prepared to change footwear upon entering. Overall, a great stay, especially for its proximity to the station!

Lost my suitcase cover there which i exclusively bought for this long trip...very hard to get hold of/ efficently communicate w/ customer service outside of their work hours 4pm to 10pm (short period of time)....location convenient n thoughtful remembering my preference tho.

Good Goof

Despite of the bad reviews on google, we still booked thru trip because we saw the review for a private room was not bad. And it was. The room was bigger compared to other hotels I stayed. Basic room, no tv, toothbrush, face towel… but for the price I paid it was good enough. The location is good just next to the train station. Many food stores and shops around. Recommended!

Good for solo travelers, right next to the train station with very easy access to Tokyo station. Good service.
