King Minos Hotel

This is a terrific hotel , family run and very friendly staff . The room was a sea view one which I would recommend and was meticulously cleaned on a daily basis , great facilities ., lovely lounge area with lots of sofas and chairs . The pool and outside area is fabulous with a view to die for . The food at breakfast and dinner was really good with great variety and lots of choices , we stayed four nights and totally enjoyed it . Tolon itself is a bit of a dive , over built right to the edge of the water with no regard for planning regulations , there is no beauty here and the town is no advertisement for the Greek Tourist Board and only visit Tolon to stay at the excellent King Minos Hotel.

I have already reviewed this hotel once before, in 2017, but as a family we liked it so much that we went back. And it definitely didn’t disappoint at all, so I wanted to leave another up to date review. There are two things that really ‘make’ this hotel. Firstly, the views it offers. Since the hotel is situated high up above the little town of Tolo (I reject the view of another reviewer describing it as ‘a dive’!), you get stunning views of the bay. I would definitely recommend that you book a sea view room for this reason. You will not regret it. There are a few hotels situated right on the beach in Tolo, which is also a great location, but in my opinion the higher situation of the King Minos is a better location because of the exceptional views. Secondly, the pool area. I love the music that plays all day, and the bar / restaurant area staff are lovely. It’s a great area to relax, swim and sunbathe. If you sit at one of the tables on the far side of the pool, you can also enjoy the views some more too. The rooms are comfortable and modern, with all the expected facilities and conveniences. The lobby area is also very spacious and has lots of armchairs and sofas to sit on if you wish. There’s also a gym if you like to work out and lots of parking spaces. For me, the only ever so light downside is the food. It’s perfectly fine, but not delicious. However, since we booked for breakfast only each day, this was fine as we were free to eat out every evening anyway. Overall, I have to say that I really do like the King Minos, and will definitely be back again in the future.

Many contracts for the pool bar service , very polite , positive energy , fast and you feel like you are really treated with kindness and respect !!’ Big congrats to Christina and the rest of the team !!!! One only proposition for better experience relates to the daily hot dishes , it is not nice to stay in the menu for sometimes three days , please correct this for next season , I fully believe that making better and more fresh meal Choices will increase also revenues and make even more loyal your customers.

Lovely family hotel a stones throw from the harbour and a few minutes walk to the beach. The staff could not have been friendlier. They all speak excellent English. Rooms were clean. Pool lovely and plenty of sun loungers and tables to sit at. Loads of parking. We never struggled to find a space. The breakfasts were fine and catered for all tastes. Nice poolside bar. Prices reasonable. Would really recommend. Only downside is that the road down to the street is a bit steep and if you are infirm you may want to avoid that but you could easily drive down. Two minutes and plenty of places to park. Do go in the Pegasus Cruise to Hydra and Spetses which the hotel will arrange for you. Lovely family day out.

🧿🇬🇷!Großeltern und Jugentlichen. Allen hat es gefallen. Schöner Pool. Klasse Frühstück. Nur Perking ist kompliziert. Dafür ist der Blick von jedem Balkon einmalig!🇬🇷🧿 Besonders ist die Sauna und der Fitnessraum, welchen wir oft genutzt haben!

Aux premiers abords, nous sommes agréablement surpris du lieu... Bien placé avec une vue sur la mer puis la piscine qui trône à l'entrée... Bref , tout pour bien commencer le petit séjour.. l'accueil standard puis les chambres assez petites avec un balcon tout de même... Le restaurant propose du basique , plus cher que les restos au bord de l'eau et qui sont à 5 mn ( à pied). Le petit dej plus que moyen: jus de fruits limite, café exécrable ( nescafé en machine), propositions culinaires correctes.. pour un 4 étoiles à réfléchir... Pour notre part,si c'était à refaire, on irait voir ailleurs...
