Stayed for three days so we could visit National Trust places and other attractions. A very warm welcome on arrival no problem checking in and Showen to our room. The room was excellent lots of space had all the amenities TV, tea and coffee making machine snacks if you wanted them at extra cost. The bed was very comfortable no problem sleeping, bathroom clean, nice tidy shower easy to use. The bar and restaurant excellent good range of real ales spirits and so on. As for the food excellent menu choice for breakfast and for evening meal. As for the staff very friendly and polite, a great place to stop if you want to explore Kent. I would highly recommend the Carpenter arms .

We were lucky enough to be able to get an early checkin. The carpark was full, so this was a surprise! However we found out the carpark was full of locals because the food was so good! Service and comfort also excellent! Can thoroughly recommend

Very comfortable hotel, nice decor and ambiance. Staff very friendly and helpful. Regret that stay was spoilt by bad fish dish served late in evening which led night of heavy vomiting and several days of consequent discomfort. Hopefully an infrequent occurrence, but spoiled an otherwise nice experience.

Really enjoyed our stay here. We were visiting various National Trust places, Knole and Igtham Mote plus Hever Castle. Our room was fabulous, we were very impressed with the decor, loved the secret garden! Food and drink were top notch, great value on the Summer nights deal. Finally the staff were excellent despite being very busy. Highly recommend the Carpenters Arms!

Although the location and room were great, I am still disappointed that we were obliged to book for a minimum of two nights at a weekend over the summer. It made the stay overly expensive as we only really needed a room for one night. Otherwise, we had no complaints and the staff was friendly.

The room was lovely and although I was on my own, the Bar Staff all made me feel welcome and chatted to me so it didn't feel like I was on my own. I had a few drinks and loved the Mac & Cheese while I stayed there. It was a wonderful experience and most importantly, I felt safe staying there. Well done to everyone at the Carpenters Arms xxx

Stayed here due to a family wedding nearby. The place was great, the rooms were very comfortable and the staff were really helpful. The bar and restaurant areas were very nice and the food was lovely. There is plenty to do around the area and I would recommend a stay here.

The pub with rooms was attractive and well located. The room was clean with a comfortable bed, a large bathroom and an excellent shower. There was an adequate wardrobe but some larger drawers would have been useful. The restaurant was excellent offering a varied menu for breakfast and evening meal. The food was well cooked and the service was great. All the staff were friendly and helpful.
