What a great place to stay on October 31, really playing it up for Halloween. The moment I pulled into the parking lot they had a guy posing as Toronto police getting out of his black and white cruiser and questioning a guy in another car; what a great act and costume. To top it off they had big signs in the parking lot "Do not leave valuables". So then, after I checked into my room, I took a walk down to the lakeshore. Upon my return at sunset they had posed a couple of women as ******* who played their role, propositioning me, and then two other characters were pretending to be hoboes right at the motel entrance. One of them could hardly speak English and asked me if this was a hotel. I was shy and didn't enter into a conversation. Inside the Days Inn, they even went so far as to put cracks in the light shades and framed picture glass and a piece of bubble gum as if to patch it, all very spooky and creepy. I love it, like an evening at the Bates Motel! I don't think there were any other tourists at this motel it seem to be all immigrants and refugees possibly subsidized by the government to stay there permanently? I got up and left before 7:00 AM carrying with me all of these once-in-a-lifetime memories of Scarberia.
