We arrived Mon at 17 30 due to the driver leaving gaps of 50 metres between traffic allowing other drivers to get in front of us alfa coach driver, couldn't have a shower due to our evening meal timed at 1800 ,got to the room only to find tv not working, couldn't have a shower when we finally could because they couldn't fix the shower head, so they moved us to another room at 10 this morning only to find that we have had no water and it's been like this all day no water first time at this hotel and the last

Alfa coach and drivers excellent. As was everything in hotel. Room, restaurant, food lovely and such a good variety on menu. Also evening entertainment ( except Tuesday ) good . The best shower ever. Can't recommend strongly enough. And excellent value for money too.

We stayed here for three nights on a Mystery Trip with DJ Thomas. The price of the holiday was under £200 so we weren't expecting much but hoped that the rooms would be clean and the food edible. Everything far exceeded our expectations. The hotel is clean and tidy and the decor is of a decent standard. Our rooms were basic - think Travelodge or Days standard - but had good beds, good sized TV, tea & coffee and a good ensuite. Everything was spotless. The only toiletries provided was a small bar of soap but shampoo/body wash was available from reception. Food was good with three courses plus tea & coffee. Portions were generous and we left feeling full. Breakfast was a good choice of cereals and fruit followed by various cooked options and toast, tea or coffee. Service was excellent, efficient, quick and polite. The younger servers have been very well trained and they are among the best I have ever seen. As I was a waiter many years ago I pay special attention to service and I was very impressed. Nicola, Thomas & Linda are a credit to the hotel along with the rest of the team. Every member of staff that we met during our stay was helpful and polite and it really made our stay memorable. The Metropole may not be The Ritz but what it does it does very well. It knows it's customer and the service it provides ticks all boxes. Very impressed.

We went with Alfa coaches. Everything was 1st class from The manager Depeche welcoming us before we got off the coach to saying goodbye to us before we drove off. The food was lovely , the waiting staff friendly and polite. Entertainment was great aswell as friendly bar staff including Ken who can also sing to. Bedroom was spacious and clean .Everywhere was clean and all staff were always there to help. Couldnt fault it. Will def go back there .

I stayed 4 nights from 3/2/25 all staff helpful and friendly. Our waiter Craig ( hard working nothing too much trouble ) Room and shower clean and tidy ( revamped ) Could not fault food always served hot ! . would return Drink prices good ( half price bar ) Carole Nottm

Went on a Mystery tour stay with DJ.Thomas Neath . South Wales.and ended up at this Hotel .Clean .Food good .Staff helpful No heating in the restaurant/Reception area and not that warm in the bar . Different times for food sittings if your first plenty of room in the bar if the last sitting bar full when you enter for that reason only went first night .Yes plenty of room in reception area but not that warm.On our last morning the door opened 3 times by cleaners no knock just opened the door Yes they've got a job to do but better practice I would advise ( room9)

The staff, food was realy good, I've been on 9 holidays last year with Alfa and this is my first this year. I was able to change rooms with help from Emily on reception. I make roses for the staff and I think she deserved my first of the year. You will enjoy your holiday with this alfa and all the staff are helpfull

Just returned from a twixmas and New year break at this hotel we had a fabulous stay room was spotless food was very good and the entertainment was amazing the manager and everyone of the staff are so helpful and look after everyone remarkably well there is nothing to fault at this hotel thank you for a great stay and happy new year to you all

Travelled with hubby & daughter on a Tinsel & Turkey break. Our rooms were lovely, big & airey with comfy beds, good size bathroom with large shower cubicle & efficient shower. The food was very good, could even have more if you asked, but we found the portions were more than adequate. Our waiter, Craig was great, very friendly. Entertainment was very good & the dance floor was well used. We would certainly return to the Metropole, one of the best Leisure Plex hotels, all of the staff went out of their way to help their clients. A big thank you to you all.
